Bigfoot Researcher Goes Missing After Recording Real Sasquatch Footage [Video]

On Boxing Day last year (December 26th) in Canada, Bigfoot Hunter Todd Standing was featured on an episode of Call Out: Search and Rescue. According to executive producer Brian Ross, his crew’s experience with Standing ranked as the most outrageous.

The Columbia Valley Search and Rescue team weren't the only ones who thought he was crazy. One Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer wanted Standing to get a psychiatric evaluation after expressing concern over his well-being, venturing into harsh terrain on his expeditions.

This "Bigfoot Researcher Goes Missing After Recording Real Sasquatch Footage" segment was posted on Todd Standing's YouTube channel earlier this month.

    1. Standing is 100% city slicker.
The guy is a joke. Hell, my 8 year old son is ten times the woodsman as this joker is.
But, the joke is on all of us. Cause' Standings laughing all the way to the bank.

  2. Does anyone not believe that this is just more bigfoot BS from Standing?

Now watch, in a few weeks he'll be back on this site and others as if he's some type of legitimate bigfoot researcher.

  3. Haha. I am seeing it now. With everyone ridiculing him and no $ to be made on his ashram-like zen-connection with BF, he will go into the woods, be gone for months on end, come back and tell about how he lived with BF like Jane Goodall. Okay, Todd, I just predicted your next move. Go ahead and roll a doobie and and munch on some nuts and twigs and call it a day, dude. We got your number.

This would make a better Finding Bigfoot than Finding Bigfoot.

And at the end of each episode
The Grizzly comes out and chases
    Todd. AAAAARRRRR. For the season
finale Todd could be chased out of the woods by...........Mormon Missionaries. AAAAARRRRR.

  9. The log did him in, how can he be standing directly behind the log if it was pushed from up the hill.
just watch a couple episodes of axe man and see some of those logs come
flying down the hill, those guys are running for there lives, and there dead tired from working on those slopes.Todd just stands there and
turns on the camera as 400 lb log just misses him ?
Either he is an idiot that logs rolling down a hill can end over and change direction in blink of an eye or he got the log rolling on his own and started filming.
    i'll pick door # 2.then the rangers
show up the first day and he just sits there and does nothing because he thought they were hunters? what, hunters aren't cool enough to find his lost ass ? gimme a *uckin' break.

  10. People have really bad attitudes toward anyone that makes an extraordinary claim. I think everyone is scared of believing in something, then finding out later that they were fooled by a hoax, so they have to be extra skeptical. One this is for sure. Having a snotty attitude doesn't make you a scientist. It just brings the whole interest in Sasquatch down. Who would want to show their video or photos to a group that is so obnoxious and aggressive to anyone who offers them? It's no wonder it's taking so long for the Erickson project to release their videos.

  11. No Name, No Slogan - I swear to you, you have read my mind. I also think some people in here are overly skeptical and critical for fear of looking foolish later if something they previously openly supported turns out to be a hoax.

Call me naive or foolish, or whatever gets your rocks off, I believe in Todd Standing, Squatchmaster, Timbergiant Bigfoot, Erickson, Redchun, JoeBlack, and BFResearchSF.

What these people all have in common is passion for researching/protecting bigfoot and a refusal to participate in the community mud slinging from all the jealous losers and possible disinformationists.

  12. You said it Karla naive. But I also agree with no name no slogan, why would anyone want to show their videos or pics to a crowd that dismisses everything. Perfect example is the Vermont trail cam photo. A very good picture in which you have detail, sharp edges and can actually tell is something large squating down in front of the camera and still people call bullshit on it. They say things like a man in a guille suit, an owl(give me a break) or anything else to poo poo the pic. Yet not one of the people you listed has anything remotely close to the quality of that photo and people such as yourself show them a loyalty that borders religious fanaticism for what? Because dispite all the blurry photos, videos they are not discouraged by how crappy it is just as long as people see their name and talk about them on the internet. Holy crap I could think of so many other things to do. Just because mom and dad didn't show them enough attention doesn't mean they have to keep forcing this delusional evidence down everyones throats just so they can see their names on the computer. People would take them more seriously if every single blur they see wasn't a bigfoot. I will admit I use to following them until they realized that it didn't matter what they put on YouTube they got attention. Kinda like an attention starved child, they will even do bad things to get into troubleshooting just as long as somebody pays attention to them. That's when I stopped watching because every single video is exactly the same as the last, a blurry image and them saying look its a squatch and to make it even more outrageous they trace out the non existent BLUR incase you didn't see it how they percieved it. But yes you called it naive. Imo they should quit the whole bigfoot thing and become telivangalists, way more naive people and it would be a lot more profitable. Why con people out of video cameras when you could con them out of their life savings.

  13. How many times will a known hoaxer like this get an audience? This guy continues to get an audience time and time and time again. How many times can someone hoax people and still maintain a shred of credibility. It makes the bigfoot community look like a bunch of naive and gullible idiots.

  14. Standing should get together with Biscardi and a few others and form a new organization, the BFBS.

  17. Karla, A lot of these videos are entertaining..Squatchmaster is an idiot..Every video of his has an unknown blur that is a bigfoot in a tree, 2 young ones playing..A known hoaxer in my book..I also think he has numerous handles he uses to post how great he is..
Fasanotampa..Total jackass. If people are looking at anothers video he has to start a campaign on his youtube channel and the 4 or 5 websites he has going..What horrible things happened to this loser when he was young..Miserable person at best
Joebblack1963..Another idiot that sees numerous bigfoot in every video he uploads..All I see is blurs.. This idiot had a sure thing..Best video ever..It moved..On further investigation it was a stump..
BfresearchSe..He videotapes himself talking about how the bigfoot talk to him..Have bbq,s and play croquet out in the woods..Yet he shows none of this is on video..Prozac was designed to prevent delusions..
Believe it of not..I have nothing bad to say about TGBF, or tcsjrbigfoot..

  18. If someone strikes me as sincere, and they have potential evidence, and they don't bash the work of others, I am much more likely to believe they are not hoaxers.

On the other hand, if they have a loud mouth that ridicules others while presenting themselves as a know-best, I definitely won't like them, and I'm less likely to believe them, even if they have the same kind of evidence.

Arm chair critics and ridiculing researchers, to me, could be disinformationists, so I don't pay them much attention.

  21. No Name No Slogan and Karla - I agree with you.

  22. The people who helped Todd Standing get his start as a hoaxer have started to come forward. They're saying he set out initially to make a "Blair Witch" style movie using bigfoots as the "witch". He even found a very tall Canadian guy to wear the costume and his own sister helped with the makeup. Eventually he decided to play this researcher who makes all sorts of claims of his exploits.

This most recent escapade was staged also. He never actually went out for a "solo expedition" at all. It was a set up. He went out to that trailhead and signed the log book describing where he planned to go, then he left his sleeping bag on the ground as far in as he actually went ... in the vicinity of the trailhead. Then he simply left the area for a few days, in a car. Then after he didn't "return" on time he had someone call in to say he was missing. The SARS crew drve around looking for him (asking around about him), and found the note at the trailhead and found the sleeping bag not far from the trailhead. They were preparing to go out looking for him the next day when they got the call that he had "walked out of the woods".

Actually, he was just driven back up there to the trailhead and dropped off, and then found someone on the road to give him a lift back to town. He was never on a solo trip up there ... and he never does that. He fakes it every time. This was no exception.
