- The End
- Conclusion: The Big Apple is squatchy!
- Storm is coming in and they're calling it a night.
- Something landing near Bobo and Ranae. Sounds like a baseball said Bobo.
- Bobo and Ranae keeping an eye on Boonboon. Something on the hill is creeping her out.
- Cliff swore he heard something.
- Howl.... they all heard it.
- Ok, so Boonboon isn't alone. She's safe...
- Poor Boonboon. They're going to leave her out in the woods alone. She's shrieking..
- Team now investigating Appalachian trail. Bobo got this great idea of having a baboon out in the woods. "The squatch will be curious," said Bobo. "They will not be able to resist boonboon."
- The guys are back with Ranae in the woods. Ranae is quite surprised at how much forest New York has.
- Bobo does his famous reenactment. Bobo did a jump, instead of stepping. Witness said Bobo wasn't able to achieve what the creatures he saw did.
- Back to Bobo and Matt: Investigating a man who saw a 7ft tall creature on the road. When he drove back, he saw it leap up an embankment.
- The man is pretty sure it was a squatch because of the heavy footsteps. Cliff believes him.
- The creature finally backed away from the tent when dawn broke. (Reminds us of Jim LeBus account)
- Back to Cliff: Man telling story about camping. They heard things being thrown at their tent. Their tent was getting pushed in...
- Back to Ranae again. She sees eye shine in the night. It's a squatch food (deer).
- Matt was really impressed, and they're drawing out their investigations right now. They're intrigue that these sightings occurred by the Appalachian trail.
- The boys held a town hall meeting. Matt Moneymaker ask for show of hands if anyone has seen one, or heard one, or found tracks.
- Something spooked Ranae in the woods. It could be a deer or a bear... or a squatch.
- Ranae solo investigation: Found some deer tracks. Fresh running water near stream. Oak trees and acorns. It's a deer haven. Perfect sasquatch habitat too.
- The guys are at a zoo with an primate expert. He's viewed the baby Bigfoot video and says it's not a person. Based on his professional opinion, it's something hanging from the tree likely a monkey or an ape. The expert thought it was interesting that Cliff pointing out the big figure next to the primate in the tree.
- Ranae spending the next couple of days investigating the woods... without the guys.
- Bobo says squatches are much more less threatened of women.
- Bobo: "God dude. Why don't they ever show themselves?" Cliff: "Because they don't want you to take their picture."
- I don't think Ranae buys what Matt is saying.
- You heard it from Matt first. Squatches will lay on a mattress.
- Ranae and Matt found an abandon building in the woods. Creepy. Matt is looking for evidence of "Squatting Squatchers"
- Cliff is fired up right now. He's heard a knock.
- Bobo with FLIR and listening.. what's that? "Sounds like geese," said Cliff.
- Night-vision goggles on. The team is going into the apple orchid?
- Matt is pretty confident it's a sasquatch at this point.
- LOL! Cliff Barackman is doing a reenactment by climbing up on the tree.
Transcript of Cliff Barackman speaking:
In this particular video known as the New York Baby footage, you see a few people in the foreground, they are talking around a camp fire and it’s behind them that you see a large figure walking behind a tent and something hops off it’s shoulder and starts climbing up into the tree like an Ape. It goes up into the tree and move up very quickly and at one point hangs from a branch with two arms, then just swings there, it looks like it’s playing, there is no way that the figure in the tree is a small human being doing those amazing leaps and bounds. I’ve spent a lot of time around gymnastics in general. My ex-wife was a gymnastics instructor. I’ve seen it again and again and again, the best gymnasts in the world, they can not duplicate what I’ve seen in that video. So what we have here is either a case of a pet Ape or a Sasquatch possibly an Adult or a Juvenile.
- Cliff says his ex-wife is a ex-gymnast and this 15 year old video clearly looks like a primate.
- Ranae thinks it's a gibbon.
- Bob says that doesn't look like a Chimp.
- That's clearly a primate up on that tree. Baby Sasquatch?
- The show starts in New York. Let's see what this Baby Bigfoot thing is all about.
I live in this area and this was a great episode. The Beardsley zoo is in Bridgeport CT.
ReplyDeleteI live 30 miles outside of Pauling and have for a while now. Two things- look up Dudley Town CT. Many strange stories about this and it is located near Kent Connecticut. Try and trespass on the land and your immediately arrested-recently a documentary crew was arrested attempting to take footage there. The area is monitored yet nobody lives there and it is a land trust.
Alot of rumors about paranormal activity there and now I have to wonder if maybe it is so protected because there may be Sasquatch there. It is close to a BFRO report and alot more people are having sightings.
If you google it it is interesting. I can tell you that anybody who even tries to go looking around there gets caught and arrested. Maybe someone can get away with a quick in and out but you will be arrested before you can get a good look around.
FYI- those abandoned houses are old summer estates- that area was the Hamptons before the Hamptons. Now either the state owns them or people who only do to hold the land. The crew got permission and most would be arrested if they just went searching in that area.
Bad season premier. Did not keep my attention at all.
ReplyDeleteI see many negative comments about people trashing the show...yet obviously they had to watch the show in order to have an opinion about it. What ever works to get people to watch.
ReplyDeleteI must agree that the season premiere was lacking in new material. With that being said, I will be tuning in this Sunday night to catch episope two.
Oh I will totally tune in for the next show and the one after that, I just thought this one was weak for a season premier but with Giants and Cowboys on maybe it was a throw away show.
ReplyDeleteI'm so bummed. Y'all changing your clocks around and us not doing it--the show isn't on until 11!
ReplyDeleteYou will enjoy it- it was an outstanding episode as always. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion- but i think alot of it is based on this being the only show in town and because of that people want alot and maybe too much- its not Monsterquest.
ReplyDeleteEven Bigfoot: the Definative guide was more a review show with not much new info. We are all salivating for a new straight documentary with teeth because it has been awhile.
No it was not a good show because all the questions to the guests and the Biologist at.the zoo were leading questions. They found no new.evidence and they heard sounds and bo bo swears that rocks were thrown at him which nobody saw or heard.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time I really felt bad for Reane she just sounded like she was over some of the responses Moneymaker was giving during his search for the "Squatter Squatch"
But Anon your right its just my opinion.
Never have been impressed with the NY baby BF footage...always thought it was just a pet monkey or something
ReplyDeleteShawn--I love this line you wrote, "Cliff says his ex-wife is a ex-gymnast and this 15 year old video clearly looks like a primate." Man, that ex-wife must have been seriously unattractive. Har har
ReplyDeleteoops. haha. that's live blogging!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it. I think they're putting the weak epidodes first, because Cliff and Ranae tweeted awesome blurbs about all the other places aft NY and RI. God Matt has gotten realy fat!
ReplyDeleteGood show, Ranae spending the night. That's bigfooting.Great show!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to anon 1 for posting about this area. It is always good to get more info. about an area from people who live there. I enjoyed the show, but disappointed that the baseball size rocks that were thrown could not be heard. Recording instruments simply do not come close to the human ear, and thus one has to trust ( or not ) that the noises the crew are describing is accurate. If they are accurate then there was a fair amount of activity going on.

Broski-
ReplyDeleteYou see what I mean with your response. We want a documentary- finding BigFoot is just entertainment. Although you can take your view of the show and then look at the video and perhaps think of it differently.
Now I completely dismiss this clip. I had a dog that loved nothing more than if I would wade in our brook with her as she swam. She just loved it and would run away from people giving her food for it. I think this was a guy with a pet monkey- he perhaps employed in making his living. The awful story about the woman mauled by the ape in the "Old Navy" commercials took place in Stamford, CT- which is not very far. I dont believe the two are linked but to illustrate having exotic pets is really common in the area. I think this is a guy who for whatever reason had a monkey and like any pet it has favorites so the guy takes him to this tree because it likes it.
The approach actually is the deciding factor for me. I dont think Bigfoots would travel with there young as we saw the figure do. A man with a monkey normally lets its just sit on his shoulder because this keeps them most at ease.
Not a hoax at all but just something with too simple of an explanation for me. There is nothing I can point to that says "this factor" just does not sit well with me with such an explanation.
I also dont understand the house analysis. Any abandoned home is something that would pose too great a risk for a Sasquatch to consider as a shelter. They know that such a structure is likely to attract any human in the area and that such a place would represent the largest chance of human interaction.
Remember "Sasquatch Attacks" the cabin was torn up but never anything to suggest the Sasquatch stayed any longer than it took to do that. They should have gone there during the day and looked to see if it looked like similar damage took place.

ReplyDeleteHere is some more information for you.
The earth is "soft" at that time of year. Any rocks thrown would not make much of a sound unless it struck something hard like a tree or another rock or perhaps landed in a body of water.
People at a certain golf club not very far far report rocks thrown at them on a certain hole and strange prints in sand traps. The hole apparently sits under a ledge and tree line area.
There is another area 25 miles as the crow flies where people have seen things and someone claimed to see a bigfoot. Everyone laughed at him and said it was a black bear- people don't consider this an area where you see things like that.
Winsted CT was once the center of "The Winsted Wildman". In 1897 the First Selectman or "mayor" reported a sighting. This was a large story in the newspaper and the first instance of covered in the main stream media as an event.
The Appalachian trail area in this part of the country offers a major advantage- people normally stick to the trail as this is about the only area in the North east where rattlesnakes are considered a danger because they are not extremely uncommon.
Barkhamsted state forest in Connecticut is linked to the area via wilderness and there have been numerous sightings there recently.
There have been numerous reports of strange howls but people dont even notice because of an extreme increase in the population. Also it is no secret Cougars have returned widely accepted. All sounds get attributed to this. Now moose have returned.
This area is interesting because there has been such an influx of animals that were once common but then left. Bear, Cougar, and Coyote are back in full force and few people are familiar with them so anything strange gets attributed to that. Also the deer population is out of control.
I know many hunters and outdoorsmen and most have purchased and now carry a very powerful sidearm when bow hunting or hiking.
My personal opinion is that no Sasquatch "live" outside the Adirondacks- they do travel in this area from time to time if not constantly.
This area is very interesting as we are just not "friendly" "neighborly people"- you don't go on private property without permission and people don't generally give it. Many areas are considered "don't even try". We have many areas where you are more likely to see a Bigfoot than person because those are off limits. There are a lot of NYC people who buy there huge piece of land and they believe then its not worth having it if you dont exclude everyone.
3 to 4 people a year report sightings- I would think this means many others do not. I personally have had experiences where I attributed something to a black bear because I did not have any of this other information at the time. Honestly I still attribute it to a Black bear but imagine that I am not alone in doing this and we cannot all be wrong.
I did found out that a strange experience in the woods- I saw a huge deer while walking on my road, I went to look and then got freaked out because i felt something watching and the deer and really taken off. There are so many that they are not normally like that just because a person is around. I took off home and never forgot how weird it was. No reason to say its not a bear until I read an account of a sighting 3 miles away- around the same time. I read this 8 years later.
I love these guys. Bobo is a great name for a relic hominid researcher.
