Mike Rugg talks about Russian Bigfoot / Yeti folklore [Video]

Bigfoot Discovery Museum curator Mike Rugg made this video reviewing a book by Dmitri Bayanov titled "Bigfoot Research the Russian Version." It's a strange coincidence that it was uploaded just hours before the Russian Bigfoot story surfaced.

Watch Mike talk about the folklore involving the Russian Bigfoot and how Russian Bigfoot Researchers collaborate. Mike says in some ways, the researchers in Russia have been studying Bigfoots longer than most researchers in the U.S. The Russians even have their own field of study called Hominology, the study of unknown hominids.

Watch below.

  3. Have any of you heard of “Skin Walker Ranch”? It is well known for paranormal activity including many Sasquatch encounters. A similar specimen to this was caught there and then everyone forgot about it. This includes the people who caught it.

This ranch “over sells” the activity for purposes of making money. It gives tales of activity that actually take place at other ranches and while it certainly has its share of paranormal activity there is more in neighboring ranches.

I say this to stress that many wealthy individuals have had the opportunity to capture and take specimens they keep secret for themselves. One very wealthy individual caught a specimen in the 1980’s which he still keeps on his ranch to show select visitors.

This man has the wealth to maintain his “secret” specimen and the reason he does it is because it is something few others could afford. He has often said he will never share this with others because of his own issues regarding who owns certain things in this world. He resides at “Sky Walker Ranch”, trespassers are shot on site but if he grants an invitation you would be amazed at what is found there.

  4. I think we have to agree- Mike rules! I was just working on a post for my blog about the characters in the BF world now - and none of them have the charm and intellect of some of the ones from the 70s era, i.e. Peter Byrne and Mike Green, and such. I put Mike in the newer Rat Pack version of BF folks today. We need more like him that speak with intelligence and not little minds and big egos. Thanks Mike--keep being you!

  5. Autumn is right Mike is a very intelligent man that has such a passion for Bigfoot. I especially like the fact that he doesn't belittle anyone when they share a story like so many other so called experts do. There needs to be more people like him in this community.

  10. I stop into Mike's museum in Felton periodically and he will talk your ear off! But he is fascinating. And as someone said here previously, he will listen to everyone's story, no matter how incredible it is, and not belittle them.

Anyone that has a chance, stop in the Bigfoot Discovery Museum in Felton, CA (hwy 9)... not exactly "prime sasquatch territory", but some incidents have been reported nearby: some calls, wood knocks.
