Banff National Park has another creature just as elusive as Bigfoot, only less blurry

Have you ever run into Bigfoot in your travels to Banff? Wilderness and Eco-guide Todd Standing of Calgary says he has photographic proof of the creature's existence. Where and how he got them remains a mystery. He claims there's a Bigfoot colony living somewhere near the border of Banff and Kootenay national park.

Banff National Park is home to many elusive creatures, and one of the animals rarely ever seen is the wolverine. Imagine how exciting it was when a wildlife monitoring team captured photos of a family of three loping around the mountain.

It’s been said that you have a better chance of seeing a bigfoot than a wolverine. One of the reasons for that is probably because wolverines prefer places that are devoid of people. So imagine how surprised our wildlife monitoring team was to capture three wolverines in one single frame! This family of three was digitally captured loping over a high mountain pass deep inside Banff National Park. It’s an area that is way off the beaten track and may once in a blue moon have someone travel through the area - like once every 5 years! There are still many places in the park that see few people, and wolverines are a good sign that this is truly a wild place.

  1. Now, I'm thinking of "Red Dawn." Didn't they call themselves the wolverines--now we know why!

  2. Great to see a story related to my home province!
Banff is just an hour away.I would much rather run in to Bigfoot than a wolverine any day.
They can be fierce and they're tenacious. They have no natural predators and never ever back one in to a corner. They are afraid of nothing.

  3. Yes they did call themselves wolverines, also the name of their school mascot.

  4. It surprises me even now that Todd Standing (after his obvious hoax, Sylvanic - which blatantly copied elements of The Blair Witch Project) is treated with a seriousness accorded to legitimate researchers. This blog and others should give hacks like him zero attention and devote more of their energies to the serious researchers who are trying to find and evaluate real evidence.
