New Footage: Bigfoot Sighting in Adirondacks, NY

Update: Click here to watch FB/FB breakdown of this video

This video of a possible Bigfoot sighting uploaded today is from Adirondacks, NY. Three guys saw what they thought was a bear crossing a small mountain side near Old Forge. One of them insists it's not a bear since it was running on two legs. To be honest, we're not 100 percent sure what this thing is. One of the guys said the creature was running on two legs, but the footage doesn't seem to show that.

Stabilized and Enhanced by Bigfoot Evidence

The video currently has 12 views, so it's fresh for analysis and deserves a breakdown video ASAP.

  1. looks like it turns it's face to camera twice. once before bush, once after bush. then , of course, the camera man stops filming. like we've said before... red flag. my camera can take video for 5 min. before it cuts off. if it's a real creature, YOU KEEP FILMING! if it's fake, keep it short, you don't want to show too much. get that shaky camera effect in there too, while your at it.wish it were real... the ear looks good though... mitch d

    1. This looks like a gorilla that's hurt, to me. I've seen video of Bigfoot and this is a sad attempt. I agree with anonymous regarding this. The opportunity was there for perfect shots and it's blurred, shaky and too short. The dialog was too... uninterested, too. Bah... ~giggle~

    1. Why wouldn't a hoaxer think of that? Tree peeking is not a secret known only to believers. If I wanted to hoax a BF I would at least spend some time researching, and I guess others would too. But interesting footage.

    2. i like the comments more than the ridiculas film.

there is not one video on the whole site that isnt a hoax or optical illusion. Whether its this, students filming there friend in an ill fitting suit. The worst is people like fassano, patterson and gimlin, squatchmaster etc..self titled'experts' [experts in what is the question for me. There is no evidence of these animals]who make ridiculas claims. patterson and gimlin pulled off a good hoax with the suit they made up but that was part of pattersons exerience. he drew the exact bigoot a year beforehand. co inc3edntly he then went a filmed the same female sasquatch. seriously what are the chances? clearly its impossible odds for that to happen and whay hasnt it happened anynore since then! all isee is blobs and hoaxes.

I wish there was 10ft ape guys bounding about North America in their families. How utterly cool would that be. It would rock this world, the science of it all, religion woul;d changeand especialy Christianity. The bible says God created man and the animals, there is no account of Gim creating one in between!? That would be shocking to the Christian i would have thought! at the very least it would lead every person to give thought to evolution being the worlds history and not a creator God!

Natrural science would have the bniggest inclusion to be pout into it and studied.

Hikkwlkers and hikers etc...would have to give thought to their safety now that a proven beast[cant think of a least intimadating word.Lets face it when faced with a 10ft 800pd ape man youd say it was a beast surely]

the evidence thus far is it doesant exist. DNA still wouldnt prove it to the world.so this study everyone is hanging their hats on is almost worthless.Interesting, yes, proof of the existance is ridulas, its a mute point there is noe, DNA cannot be compared toi anything as Im sure any believer would say! How can it be compared to something that doesnt exists. Only when they ever got a BF can they compare any DNA to it.it will say INCONCLUSIVE,so waiting on Ketchum/oylipic reports is pointless,INCONCLUSIVE is the end of it. Quality fotage of these animals[as ive heard they have] is very different and would lead to belive by the world. I really hope these animals r there and they have them on film like any other wild animal in US or Africa etc.. filmed doing it thing.if not its all just myth

if youve seen it with your own eyes it must be frustrating,as nobody can belive u as we all know eys decieve us and there has to be wittnesses for it to be even slightly conclusive. a body or quality film is needed. boring and obvbious i know

  9. Shawn,

If this is a Bigfoot, I'll eat my hat, LOL! This is terrible, LOL!

One big giveaway is that it seems to fall down behind that second tree. What others see as peeking is actually the thing getting up off the ground IMO.

I'm going with man in suit. A bear wouldn't travel that far on two legs.

I know, I shouldn't be guessing since I'm in the business of reporting but this is almost comical.

I think it's just as important to expose the frauds as it is the real thing.

    Thanks Shawn!

  10. as always it seems that all fake vids. the subject goes from right to left. almost happens all the time! it must be something in the human brain that won't allow the pretend bigfoots to run/walk in the left to right direction. weird man really weird!!!!

    1. Isn't there something about people looking down to the left if they're lying, but in an attempt to hide that fact they look up to the right. But I guess you have to go right to left or left to right, very few vids going away from or to the camera. Be nice to see a BF (real or fake) moving at speed up a steep slope.

  25. i think this needs to be looked at closely first of all i dont hear "gary" in this at all.... i hear around here . that leads me to beleive the film is shot by a local or a person familiar with the region. the film is short but they all are. the right to left theory i think itis funny but i think that is left up to the creature at hand.

  28. This deformed bigfoot is ridiculous. None of the clips on this site are credible. Note to all you hoaxers out there: You're going to have to do much better with your costumes. You need much bigger, bulkier costumes with long arms, and try not to walk like a human. In addition, if you can't act, don't talk while taking your footage. Poor acting when commenting always makes bigfoot footage less credible.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Also to you hoaxers: be prepared to invest in an enormously expensive research project to create a costume that matches the one used in Bluff Creek over forty years ago. For bonus points and epic cheering, do it using 1960's technology. For inspiration please see the BBC special where they spent $10,000 and several weeks on a costume only to produce a giant, red, hairy woman with tiny arms and a terrible overbite.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It wasn't a costume. You're looking at an actual animal when you watch that film. Mind bending to the point of disbelief apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What's with the ear? No sasquatch footage hoaxed or real has an ear like that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The supposed bigfoot has a "traceline" around it as it walks. Thats a white line of surplus pixels that were brought over when the 'bigfoot' was brought in digitally from another film. Also the foreground is too thick to be grass and has to be a digital effect. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Always a shaky camera or grainy footage every time someone allegedly get's footage of a Bigfoot. Never a clear photo, or a camera held still for long enough to be able to tell with 100% certainty.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I can not wait for the day that someone actually moves towards the "bigfoot" or chases after it, because until then I will always consider these "short and shaky" videos to be faked. I agree with Johnny Poulsen and his comment above, this looks exactly like the 2008 Georgia Bigfoot hoax

    ReplyDelete
  35. totally fake... you're really stupid if you believe this one.

    ReplyDelete
  36. WOW, soooo fake. The guy who thinks it's a bigfoot isn't even excited about it.. If I thought I was seeing a Bigfoot I'd be flipping out.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What the h*ll is that? That has to be one of the worst "bigfoot" outfits yet. I love the big ear. I've never seen any sasquatch photo or clip in which the bigfoot has an external ear, let alone a ridiculous looking one. That bigfoot is seriously deformed.

  41. You people are the biggest collection of retards I've seen since I passed a school for the retarded at recess.

Bigfoot...seriously? Is there even a full set of teeth between the lot of you?

    ReplyDelete
  42. When you first see it you can see it's walking on two legs. It peaks twice around the tree like a cautious animal. Then it walks out from the second tree and it looks like it's down on all four and crawling. The head and back look strange during this scene. As others have said, like an oversized suit. But, once again we are witnessing the blobsquatch phenomenon. I'm starting to really believe Bigfoot is a shaky blurry being. The shaky camera could be due to zooming in. Try holding your digital camera still when it's zoomed in all the way. It can be a little tricky. I for one would have continued filming and probably would have ran up there to investigate with the camera on. Those guys could have looked for footprints or other evidence afterwards. I'm leaning towards it being fake but there are some questionable and interesting aspects about this video.

    The Zabo Theory:
Interrogators say people turn their heads to the left or their eyes shift to the left when they answer deceptively.

  43. I forgot to add. Bears can look oddly human like/Bigfootish at times. Check this video out:

    ReplyDelete
  44. If you watch closely, the size, shape and movement of the creature is identical before it goes behind the bush and then after it emerges again, just as if it was digitally "spliced" in using the bush as the divider. Classic film "in-betweening" technique.

    ReplyDelete
  45. FFS, prove it a hoax! if a bigfoot SAT on you you would deny it. ALL you armchair skeptibunkers dismissing this as a hoax are all reaching for something you can't even touch let alone explain away. I'll wager you don't even know what a sagittal crest is.

    Looks genuine to me, cowards.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is not a hoax- it is an injured black bear. Black bears can be brown and this area is not known for brown bears but they can and do pop up.

Look at the short front paws and the long snout. It looks like this bear may have been shot or is caught in an old school bear trap. A sasquatch would have just stayed in that bush with them at that distance unless they began approaching. There is also a "patch" it could have taken from bush to bush that would be covered- a bigfoot would take this path.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Looks convincing enough.

A couple of things, I don't get overly excited about stuff like this. I just happen to live in the area and have been doing a few Google searches just to see if any "bigfoot" sightings have ever occurred in the Adirondack Mts.

Bigfoot "researchers" always speak of the smooth, bounceless gait that a bigfoot allegedly walks with. It's knees do not lock, so they don't bounce up and down like a human. Instead, the knees remain bent, thus absorbing the bobby nature.

The men filming the video (with their Upstate NY accents) do seem surprised. I read a comment that they sounded fake. I don't get that at all. They aren't screaming or proclaiming that it's a sasquatch or bigfoot. The one voice (Gary?) seems pretty convinced that it's a bear regardless.

It can't be a bear because of the very prominent sagittal crest. Bears do not have these. They have rounded skulls, like a dog. The sagittal crest is the ridge of bone on many mammalian and reptile skulls. Thing is, these ridges appear on all of the great apes, sans chimpanzees (with regularity, anyway). Sagittal crests did occur on some early hominids.

This video is actually the most convincing I've seen, and I've watched quite a few today (hey, I have the week off from work...).

The other thing that makes this difficult to label a fake is the casualness of the "encounter". Bigfoot researchers typically say that these animals (assuming that they exist for the sake of argument) are notoriously "laid back" during encounters. There's nothing here that indicates in any way that this thing was scared off, or being hastily evasive. It just looks a few times, and continues on it's way.

Those saying that it looks like it fell down: I don't see that. At all. Actually, I'm surprised that a lot of the skeptical comments draw attention to details that do not seem to occur in the video at all. Perhaps these people are unaware of bigfoot "details" or simply animal movement altogether. One thing is certain, however: that's no bear.

I think, again, that's it's quite convincing, and if it's a hoax, these guys did their homework. Maybe they're a bunch of anthropology/biology majors screwing around. Most fakes are easily proven due to the lack of the hoaxer's knowledge of basic animal physiology and reported anatomical features of what are referred to as "sasquatches" or bigfoots (feet?).

    ReplyDelete
  48. I agree. I think a large number of you are dismissing this too quickly. We know for sure that it isn't a bear. This leaves us with 1)Man in costume 2) Actual Sasquatch 3) Known ape (gorilla?)
It's kind of funny how many people dismiss the movements seen as "obviously fake," and that they "person" clearly fell behind the tree. Like the previous post, I don't see that at all. I see a change in walking posture, that to me resembles that of a gorilla. For me the most interesting part of this video is the final frame before the animal disappears for good. You see what appears to be the gluteal region of the "creature" extended out from the body in a way that humans can not do. It appears to be an ape in a slightly slumped walking position. Gorillas can walk completely upright, and also in that same "slumped" position, or on all fours using their knuckles on their hands. Google some images of this. The resemblance is striking. I also speculate that the "giant fake ear" may appear as though this is what it is, when in actuality it is mostly a variation in hair color. In silverback gorillas this silver color can often surround the ear. From a distance it may appear that the ear is larger? My guess is that someone probably has some type of ape haven (rescue) for apes and monkeys brought here illegally. When they get too big owners surrender them to the rescue. These guys probably knew they were filming a gorilla and tried to pass it as a possible squatch. Just my thoughts though...

  50. I have a camp in Old Forge NY and i know exactly where this footage was taken. Its in a highly visible area next to a school and near several stores. It was an old ski slope. Their are a ton of black bear in the area but i can almost guarantee that if there was a Squach in that area there would be more then this sighting. Ive been going there for almost 30 years and have never seen a squach or anything this goofy. And i have been to that slope to feed dear about 100 times i have seen bear there no Sasquatches.

  55. if it is a hoax they did their homework. The said anomaly looks towards the guys before the going behind the bush, then goes behind and squats down peeks over the bush, and then once more before moving away from the bush to the foliage. It does all of this in a matter of 3 second and with not any clumsy movement. Plus the distance it moves is lager then the is appears on the video. If it is a hoax, good job on the behavior patterns.

  56. Oddly enough, I don't think it is just one animal. See how the upper portion that seems so strange. Obviously the lower section is a bear, the stride of the gallop is 4 limbs. But that upper portion is black and has a white stripe. The bear was probably hunting and that is why he dissapearing behind the tree and remained there for a bit before taking off like a rocket with what ever that was clung to his head, badger or wolverine? Really look at the distinctive coloring between them. The bear is brown with a light face and there is something half wrapped around it. Anyways, I dont know for sure obviously but that is what it looks like. Thought I would through that out on to the table.

  71. To me, it looks like a bear that somehow has one of its front legs stuck on its head,(which would explain the funny way it's walking and the falling behind the tree.) It looks like the leg is covered with something white, (cement, maybe?) so it possibly stepped in a sticky substance and then somehow managed to get the leg stuck to its head. Poor thing... :(

  72. This is an animal and I'd say it's under 100 lbs. in weight, about the size we'd expect of a bear cub in mid-summer. Unfortunately it has no recognizable profile. In one freeze-frame it appears to have two ears on top like a bear's while in others it appears to have a human-like ear on the side of what I presume is the head.

I'm certainly not bothered by the color, which looks more black than brown to me but not seeing the familiar bear's snout, familiar head shape, or a bear-like gait is problematic for me. Could it be a huge-head Sasquatch child crawling low to the ground to resemble a bear? Would its parents teach it to do that if humans were watching it? Yet I can't say it looks much like a Sasquatch head either. Once again, too little definition!

    2. I agree McClarinJ. This is a bear. The animal we're seeing here while not groomed resembles a black bear. This animal's fur is longer but that does not mean it is a bigfoot. I wonder if anyone has ever seen a bear cub abandoned. Bears with an illness look quite like this. They often get leaves and sticks in their fur and it always looks tangled.

  77. It looks like a bear cub to me. What it _doesn't_ look like is a credible Big foot. The lack of anything approaching clear photographic evidence of BF despite the millions of hikers, campers, hunters, and others in places where it's supposed to live, and despite almost everyone having a camera these days (or cell phone with camera) makes it extremely unlikely that such creatures are traipsing around our woods and fields. Likewise, millions of high res satellite photos are taken on a constant basis, covering almost every square foot of the planet, and yet none show BFs. Time to start smelling the coffee people. The creature is a myth, likely originating from cases like those shown on this site (mistaken bears, hoaxes, etc).

  78. Hopefully this remains an ongoing post. This last anonymous post pretty much sums up the very good logic that non-believers use to discredit the possibility of an undiscovered ape-like creature that shares Earth with humans. Our ability to view every inch of the planet being the strongest. Despite all of this rationale thinking, I still want to believe though; and I'm not absolutely convinced that they don't exist. Surely, 98% of the evidence/sightings are bunk. However, the PG film is pretty darn convincing. Hell of a hoax for two blue-collar guys.
