About tonight's episode:
The team travels to Kentucky to investigate a piece of footage that seems to show the glowing eyes of a bigfoot. With locals reporting activity in Daniel Boone National Forest, the team tries a new search technique to see there really are bigfoots in Kentucky.

Live blogging done... read below

[9:58] Shawn - 2 Minutes to go :) Thanks for joining us.

[10:00] Shawn - Kentucky is more than just horse racing and whiskey.

[10:03] Shawn - Kentucky is mostly woods says Matt. Lots of hard woods and nuts, good for making whiskey. And Bigfoot too.

[10:03] Shawn - They're driving to Daniel Boone National Forest to investigate an eye shine video.

[10:03] Shawn - You can see both eyes shining bright. Cliff says it's compelling.

[10:05] Autumn - Eyeshine or headlights? Looks just like a jeep's lights to me.

[10:05] Shawn - Charles Boles was the person who taped the eye shine.

[10:05] Autumn - I like when Matt brings his little hiking pole with him. It's totally woodland pimp.

[10:07] Shawn - Bobo doing recreation. The eye shine is about 8 foot 9 inches. Well within the range of being a Sasquatch.

[10:07] Autumn - I like how Bobo gets all excited about the height of BFs.

[10:07] Shawn - Matt sounds irritated by Ranae's comment.

[10:07] Autumn - Matt is ready to buy an acme rocket and jet pack himself to drop an anvil on Ranae's head. I can hear the beep beep of the roadrunner right now.

[10:07] Shawn - Bobo says the owl explanation makes a lot of sense (I don't think Matt liked that comment).

[10:08] Autumn - They are going to howl back and forth with each other--and the purpose of that is??? To talk to each other?

[10:08] Autumn - Matt's howl is once again a wuss on a zipline. His howl sucks.

[10:09] Shawn - Commercial Break.

[10:13] Shawn - We're back.

[10:13] Autumn - Cliff's scream sounded like someone stepped on his toe.

[10:15] Autumn - Uh oh. Bobo has the Woodbooger Fever.

[10:17] Shawn - I think the moonshiners are out.

[10:17] Autumn - Someone shot a gun in the woods and BoBo wants to go confront the shooter and ask if hes seen a BF. haha

[10:17] Shawn - Better leave...

[10:17] Shawn - Coon hunters they say. Definitely hunting country.

[10:17] Autumn - Hunters kill a chance of a bigfoot coming (Matt). Surely, it's not a film crew, production staff, a cast...

[10:17] Autumn - Bobo has a cousin named Crazy Frank. Why am I not surprised?

[10:18] Shawn - Crazy Franks said sasquatches are visiting his cabin. Couple times a month.

[10:20] Autumn - Matt's first smile at the thought of some moonshine and BBQ.

[10:20] Autumn - Cliff is a home brewer (I'm in love).

[10:20] Shawn - They're taking turns sipping moonshine from Crazy Frank.

[10:22] Autumn - With Bobo drunk and dancing and Matt buzzed and smiling, I think tonight might be a little bit of Deliverance.

[10:22] Shawn - Ranae wants to find out where these coon hunters like to hunt.

[10:22] Shawn - She don't want to get shot.

[10:22] Shawn - They're at the townhall meeting.

[10:22] Autumn - I gotta say--love the dialect.

[10:22] Autumn - I like how Matt pronounces everything legit and true and all the stories legit.

[10:22] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:26] Shawn - We're back.

[10:27] Shawn - They're going to investigate a "clustered" report. Multiple sightings near same location.

[10:27] Autumn - Ranae is looking for some action in the woods. I'm sure the local boys will like to hear that.

[10:27] Autumn - Cliff has beautiful skin.

[10:28] Autumn - Apparently, according to BoBo, equipment goes down around BF. Is he a ghost?

[10:28] Shawn - Don spotted a Bigfoot, but his thermal camera recorder didn't work.

[10:30] Autumn - Once again, Matt proclaims this is definitely a Bigfoot that this witness saw. Matt's logic takes some insane jumps. What is he smoking?

[10:30] Shawn - Bobo says Don is believable.

[10:31] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:34] Shawn - We're back.

[10:35] Shawn - Woman ran into the basement after seeing a sasquatch walking by her house.

[10:35] Autumn - Matt is going to be the Bigfoot stand in. I don't think he's ever done that before.

[10:35] Autumn - Matt is doing a model runway strut as his impersonation.

[10:37] Shawn - After talking with the witness, Matt says he believes her.

[10:39] Autumn - I do believe that Matt would say that the subway tracks in NY are prime BF territory and there are definitely BFs using it as a crossroads. Everywhere is a BF, everything is a BF. His paranoia is showing.

[10:39] Shawn - Man getting ready to go to work, looked out the window and saw a Bigfoot leaping over his fence.

[10:39] Autumn - Squatches use barns in the winter? Really? Does he use storm cellars? Parked RVs?

[10:39] Shawn - Bobo says sasquatch may be getting ready to "milk the cow or whatever."

[10:40] Autumn - Sasquatches are real-you can see them and not be crazy (Cliff says), though I suspect that was not including Matt.

[10:41] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:45] Shawn - We're back.

[10:46] Autumn - It's a cult. I knew it. Cliff said he wanted Ranae inducted into the Church of Bigfoot.

[10:46] Shawn - Cliff is optimistic that Ranae is going to be converted to the Church Of Bigfoot one day.

[10:47] Shawn - They're going to broadcast the sound of a crying baby into the woods. They believe sasquatch infants might sound like this and this will attract them.

[10:47] Autumn - They are supposedly playing a recording of a baby to bring out BF's nurturing and curious side, but I'm pretty damn certain that's a recording of Matt when Ranae tells him that his BF is an owl in a tree.

[10:48] Shawn - That's creepy. The baby doll on the ground.

[10:49] Autumn - Ranae gives her thumbs up on the baby crying technique. I'm surprised because she does work with Matt and I'm sure she hears that entirely too much of the time.

[10:49] Shawn - Ranae wants something to happen to bad. That's all she ever wanted.

[10:49] Shawn - Fact: Sasquatch like to hunt near powerlines.

[10:52] Shawn - Matt and Ranae listening really hard for something...

[10:52] Shawn - They heard a branch snap!

[10:52] Autumn - Age old connundrum: If a tree moves in the forest and there is nobody there to hear it but Matt, does that mean it's a squatch?

[10:52] Shawn - They hear cattle.

[10:52] Autumn - Matt: Bigfoot understands cows are people food and leaves them alone, but according to Bobo, he loves doughnuts and bacon. Sounds like BF is as confused about his diet as Americans are.

[10:52] Shawn - Commercial Break.

[10:56] Shawn - We're back.

[10:57] Autumn - Cliff hears a growl (that is just Bobo's belly—he brought no bacon or doughnuts).

[10:57] Shawn - Cliff and Bobo said something sounded real growly.

[10:57] Autumn - Cliff is not married because he likes to sit in the woods. Cliff, you can visit my Autumnforest anytime.

[10:58] Autumn - Coyotes love this team.

[10:58] Autumn - The team was successful (at finding cows)

[10:59] Shawn - Good news. The baby is safe and sound.

[10:59] Autumn - 29 squatches

[10:59] Shawn - Ranae is greatly disappointed.

[10:59] Shawn - Show's Over.

  1. I thought this was one of the better episodes, but maybe I am just partial to Kentucky, as I have traveled through this state hundreds of times, and it just sort of feels mystical to me due to the terrain. Not like the Rockies, but when you live in the flat lands of Ohio, Kentucky seems far removed and I enjoy this. I will not spill what happened for you West Coasters, but there are some good witnesses. I know that Kentucky is "squatchy as hell", and one of the best Bigfoot Organizations going is Kentucky Bigfoot, and any folks on here that have not read any of their investigations, I urge you to. Heck - they even have the Turtle Man, on here on video documenting his encounter with a Bigfoot when he was a youth.

  2. Caught the 2nd half of the show after Eastbound and Down....First off send Kenny Powers after Bigfoot! That's ratings gold! 2nd the part I caught was awful. Is it so fn hard for MM to say he doesn't know why Squatches don't attack cattle? His reasoning is such bull! Not a big Renae fan but how she did not just drop her equipment and walk of screaming that she cannot work with this fucktard is beyond me!

  3. I am surprised he (Mr. Moneymaker) has made no attempt to redact that statement. I would have made some attempt to edit-out that part of the show. The look on her face was priceless and instantly conveyed what words could not.

  4. I would like to show Ranae some action in the woods with my walking pole in hand.

  5. I want Ranae to go all "Fists of Fury" on Matt's ass. I think she can take him.

  6. Eastern and southern Kentucky from the Ohio river all the way down to the Tennessee line is mostly rugged steep forested hills and hollows with some intermittent small farm areas and bottoms...lots of rivers and creeks too. The area around Lexington though is fairly agricultural and then when you get into western Ky it has some forested rolling to hilly areas, but also a few areas with expanses of farming zones. An area I think squatch hunters need to take a closer look at it in Kentucky is LBL or "Land Between the Lakes" in far western Kentucky. I have camped down there many times with my family who lives in Ky ( I come from an old Kentucky family ) Anyways its a great area and has some well used camping areas, but also some very remote areas and lots of creeks and the two lakes...seems like an ideal location to check and do research. Supposedly black bears and honey bears have been seen a few times in that part of Kentucky as well as panthers.

  7. Moneymaker didn't look well in this episode. His face was shiny, as if sweating.

  8. My suggestion is to place a salt block in a portion of the woods with good concealment (such as among conifers)and wait a while. Deer will stampede to it, as will other creatures. Then put a trail cam up to see if the hairy guy appears for the deer or the salt.

  9. I like the show, but they should really consider changing the name to "Not Finding Bigfoot". :)

  10. Yet another mind-numbingly boring episode. They keep this up, there will be no season 3. If I was an Animal Planet executive, I'd seriously be wondering why this show hasn't been cancelled, and I would be doing my best to get it cancelled.

    1. I could not agree more and we both find ourselves wondering if it is even worth the time spent watching. Since we use TIVO we try and find a slot open in our lives to watch but the last few weeks it seems as if we both are trying to avoid even that.

  11. I'm trying hard to like this show. But it gets worse every week. The lame re-creations, ridiculous dialogue, UGH!!! Last nights show "jumped the shark" for me. For the love of god...Bobo was wearing a coonskin cap and drinking moonshine last night!! Absurd!!! This show only affirms the stereotype of idiots, hacks and con-men involved in bigfoot research. Disappointed.
