Watch This Classic Bigfoot Video The Story of Ape Canyon

"During one evening In 1924, a group of miners shot at a mysterious 7-foot-tall apelike creature that was milling around the makeshift cabin they had built in the canyon to assay a nearby claim. That night, as the miners tried to get some shut-eye, their cabin was reportedly pelted with rocks, logs and other forest debris by a band of at least three of the "Big Foot" ape creatures—the miners later measured footprints at up to 19 inches long. In the morning, the story goes, the miners came upon and shot one of the ape creatures, which fell some 400 feet into the canyon, presumably to a certain death, although no remains of any kind were ever recovered. It was understood that the cabin was burnt to the ground around 1968 and the exact location of the claim was thought to be lost forever."

  2. No but if you go online you can find tons of material on this incident. Same thing happened to me in Downtown Dallas. We were loading up some cattle on a trailer and from the nearby slums rocks started pelting the ground around us. Some of the kids threw rocks back at these strange creatures and all of a sudden there were just gangs of these things all picking up everything not tied down at us. Of one these guys threw what appeared to be a younger sibling at us. The thing didnt bounce well. Then the sky went black as these inhabitants threw ANYTHING including dirt. We then got our cattle loaded and high tailed it out of there. I swear I saw Lenord Nimoy interviewing the creatures at the fence line, that kept us from these beasts. I was never so glad to leave a place.

  3. The old Ape Canyon story. Yes, by all means, keep the myth alive and well. Keep this nonsense in the corpus of old stories of bigfoot to add the veneer of legitimacy to your imaginary creature.

  4. This is from an old movie called Sasquatch: The legend of Bigfoot. The whole thing is on youtube. If you're going to watch it, pick the one with the longest running time, as it isn't missing anything.
