Finding Bigfoot Not Cancelling? The Fate of The World Hangs In The Balance

Last week, several sources mentioned to us that Finding Bigfoot's last season would air this fall. We confirmed this via a Twitter message posted by Bobo during last week's episode of Finding Bigfoot. We received several emails and messages from fans of the show, one fan went straight to Cliff Barackman and asked for clarification. Facebook user Bigtruth posted this status message:

"Great news today from Cliff Barackman. It looks like all the recent news about Finding Bigfoot filming their final episode may be false. Cliff says that he has heard nothing at all about the show being cancelled and one would think that the cast would be among the first to know. Either way, I'm sure we can count on Cliff to keep bringing us really great posts like this one."

Tyler Bounds, Finding Bigfoot's field guy chimed in and sided with Cliff Barackman:

"We haven't heard that it's been canceled- we haven't heard that it's been renewed. I prefer to err on the side of pessimism- there's less disappointment that way."

    Ooooouu! What's that sound? Was that a squatch? Oh never mind, because nobody can hear it anyways since Finding Bigfoot never hired anyone to record the squatch sounds. Why? Because it takes special equipment, none of which either the BFRO nor does Animal Planet know about. Since Bigfoot is invisible most of the time, the only thing that you have left that can prove that they are there, IS SOUND. And AP has budgeted zip, zero, zilch, nada, nic, niks, nista, niets, nenio, nichts, niente, nihil, nekas, niekas, nimic, nothing, towards recording those sounds. It's UNBRIDLED INCOMPETENCE PUSHING THE ENVELOPE OF ALL THINGS STUPID. After 4 seasons, you would think that they could get this one simple thing right.

BREAKING: Finding Bigfoot Production Company Seeks Filming Permit In Virginia

Rumors abound on whether or not Finding Bigfoot will continue, but hopeful news is on the horizon. Snake Oil Productions, the production company responsible for Finding Bigfoot, is seeking a permit for filming in the Monterey, Virginia area. Monterey lies between the Monongahela and George Washington National Forests. Definitely a good place to look for bigfoot. We can only speculate if this means Finding Bigfoot has been signed on for additional seasons, or if perhaps a new bigfoot show is in the works. We'll keep you updated on any further announcements for sure.
