Live Blogging and Commentary of Finding Bigfoot: "BUCKEYE BIGFOOT" Episode

Please join us for our live blog of Finding Bigfoot: "BUCKEYE BIGFOOT" episode. Blogger Autumn Forest of Ghost Hunting Theories will be joining us tonight as we commentate on the Ohio episode live at 10pm PST.

About tonight's episode:
The team travels to Ohio to investigate an alleged close encounter with a bigfoot caught on tape. They assemble a group of volunteers to search a notorious forest for evidence, in hopes of proving bigfoots exist in Ohio.

Show ended. Read our live blog below.

[10:00] Shawn - Facts: Ohio, the “Buckeye State”, received its nickname because of the many buckeye trees that once covered its hills and plains. But that's only partly the reason.

[10:01] Shawn - I just saw TheSquatchMaster during the preview.

[10:03] Shawn - Matt said he had some encounters in Ohio. He used to live in Ohio for 4 years.

[10:03] Autumn - Apparently, Bigfoot is a corn feeder? I wonder if the government subsidizes that?

[10:03] Autumn - Cliff just said "stoked" and his 1980s is showing.

[10:04] Autumn - Cliff has the best enunciation of anyone I know.

[10:04] Shawn - They're describing a large dark figure shaking a tree... like a great ape. Its a universal behavior seen in all ape species. Probably intimidation display, or relieving stress.

[10:06] Autumn - Ranae thinks a bulky torso makes it look possible--couldn't a winter coat in the snow look bulky?

[10:06] Shawn - The team is talking to Jeff (TheSquatchMaster) and his son. He's the guy who taped the squatch tree shaking.

[10:06] Shawn - Jeff's son is named Chris.

[10:07] Autumn - Seriously, the way that thing had to tug and use his body weight to pull the tree down-that is more like a human with bad upper body strength. A BF should be strong enough to not need to sway like that to pull down a skinny tree.

[10:08] Shawn - Uhh.. that's a puny tree.

[10:08] Shawn - They're doing a recreation, and the tree is smaller, and Bobo is bigger than the figure in the video.

[10:09] Shawn - Bobo thinks it's a person. He says you don't need to have super human strength or be a squatch to shake the tree like he did.

[10:09] Autumn - Once again they came for a film they debunked quickly and then decided to stay. This is a theme...

[10:11] Shawn - Night time investigation in a squatchy area. Bobo feels a squatch call coming on.

[10:11] Autumn - Apparently, Cliff and BoBo are feeling the need to squatch call.

[10:12] Autumn - Some day, I really want to hear the Ricola person yodel back at BoBo

[10:12] Shawn - Wow. Matt's squatch call is getting better overtime.

[10:12] Autumn - Still sounds like a wuss on a zipline.

[10:12] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:16] Shawn - back from commercial.

[10:17] Autumn - They heard a scream in a state park--campers?

[10:17] Shawn - They're at Salt Fork State Park.

[10:17] Shawn - I wonder if that was Tim Stover howling back... :)

[10:18] Autumn - BoBo--please don't go shirtless again when you camp out alone.

[10:18] Shawn - So, Bobo is going to stay in the forest... alone.

[10:19] Autumn - Where there's food there's squatches - BoBo. That's the best assumption about BF's behavior I've heard them give. hee hee

[10:19] Shawn - Town tall meeting. Matt is introducing himself.

[10:20] Shawn - Tim Stover!

[10:20] Shawn - Tim Stover sounds so convincing.

[10:20] Shawn - commercial break.

[10:20] Autumn - Matt looks like the childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when he hears someone's recording of a BF screaming.

[10:25] Shawn - Back from commercial.

[10:26] Autumn - BoBo is cooking bacon to get Squatch's attention (good excuse)

[10:26] Shawn - I can smell that bacon frying.

[10:27] Autumn - He's forced to eat it to prove he didn't poison the bacon so BF will trust him. I like that excuse to eat bacon.

[10:27] Autumn - BoBo just warned he's gonna let her rip--oh, he meant a bigfoot call. I thought it was the bacon revisiting him.

[10:27] Autumn - Man, Chief Little Soldier is cooler than Johnny Cash.

[10:28] Shawn - Chief Little Soldier talking about his Bigfoot encounter.

[10:29] Autumn - So, the pounding of a post might have attracted a BF? I actually heard another BF hunter mention that happening to him when he nailed a sign into a tree.

[10:30] Shawn - Matt is going to investigate Loraina's sighting.

[10:31] Shawn - Apparently, this is the famous merry-go-round encounter.

[10:31] Autumn - A big hairy creature looking down at kids on a playground? Sure it wasn't a local Armenian pedophile?

[10:32] Shawn - Commercials.

[10:34] Shawn - We're back.

[10:35] Autumn - Full-frontal squatch - Matt.

[10:35] Shawn - Loraina's sighting was a close range, sustain, full frontal, daylight sighting.

[10:36] Autumn - Ranae can't figure out why a BF would come so close to a playground and basically "flash" them for a prolonged time.

[10:36] Shawn - The lady says, "I'm sure Matt will have an answer for it."

[10:36] Shawn - The lady was Ranae.

[10:37] Autumn - BoBo says no one knows where he's at -there's a film crew, dude. They kinda know.

[10:37] Autumn - BoBo says he's keeping his butt puckered. Reread your memo, Bobo. That was Ohio “Grassman” NOT Ohio “assman.” You may now unclench your cheeks, dear.

[10:38] Shawn - Tim Stover investigation.

[10:38] Shawn - Tim is a well known guy in the internet community. He's got his own radio show and everything.

[10:40] Autumn - BoBo just said "stoked" His 1980s is showing.

[10:40] Autumn - I really do believe Stover definitely saw a BF. The sounds in his voice, his unbending passion for hunting him. Definitely a witness. I know that sound in his voice--I have it myself when I talk about what I saw.

[10:40] Shawn - Commercials.

[10:43] Shawn - We're back.

[10:44] Shawn - Hear that Justin Smeja? The Bigfoot Tim saw was the same color as a coyote.

[10:46] Shawn - They're going to do a BFRO grid search.

[10:47] Autumn - They got the town hall meeting folks walk together as if looking for murder crime evidence. Very cool.

[10:47] Shawn - They brought little squatch bait (little kids).

[10:48] Autumn - BF appetizers?

[10:48] Shawn - Someone blew a whistle because they found a large wood structure. It looks like a squatch hunting blind says Bobo.

[10:50] Shawn - Evidence! Matt says it could be a heel.

[10:50] Shawn - Matt is hating on Ranae and her lack of tracking ability.

[10:50] Autumn - "She couldnt' see what was plainly visible to me" (Matt) Do you think he says that about his wife in the bedroom?

[10:50] Autumn - BoBo fell on his ass. I'd call that a Hobo BoBo NoNo

[10:50] Shawn - LOL. This is the second time in recorded history Bobo has fallen down.

[10:51] Autumn - BoBo thinks it's a good place to squatch. Did someone bring the toilet paper?

[10:52] Shawn - Bobo is following a squatch trail.

[10:52] Autumn - It's not the size of the stick, it's the way I swing it -- BoBo--- I bet he says that to all the ladies.

[10:53] Autumn - Something is looking at us (BoBo)—yeah, the film crew.

[10:53] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:56] Shawn - We're back.

[10:59] Autumn - BoBo thinks that you can get DNA off a tossed rock. Maybe the DNA from the bloody head of the person hit, but not from the tosser.

[10:59] Shawn - Bobo talked to two geneticists about extracting DNA from rocks. Ranae is curious who these geneticists are.

[10:59] Shawn - It's a wrap up! Ohio is definitely a squatch area.

[10:59] Autumn - 33 squatch count

[10:59] Shawn - Last episode was much higher.

[10:59] Autumn - Much more BF instead of squatch this time.

[10:59] Shawn - Show's over. Great show tonight!

Comments

  1. Haven't even had my first squatch drink and that picture above is making me laugh.

  2. Seeing Bobo with the kids was really cute. Of course he falls on his ass!

  3. Man I wanted to join you.guys but with Dish its on at 7 pm and 9pm PST. It's funny out of all the videos they have shown this season that was the first one I believed could be legit and Bobo shot it down.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Bobo stood the dead tree up and shook it. No comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  5. They filmed this in October 2011. Tree had been lying there for 10 months. In the original video tree is shown after being torn up. It is very much a live tree- and it was torn up BY THE ROOTS. Very hard for anyone to do in about 10 seconds.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yeah, that's what I meant. Disappointed that they didn't talk about the one in the tree or let us hear the sasquatch speaking.

    ReplyDelete
  7. In the full clip there are 3 "beings" being filmed. One is up a tree, another is hiding behind a tree, and the tree shaker is the third one. If you hear the audio three very clear tree knocks are heard as Squatchmaster and son approach them. Finding Bigfoot only shows a small part of the actual clip. There is much more there and it is very compelling stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  8. There is some kind of weird talking noise being heard in the background as the BF tears up the tree. They don't even mention that or show the pics of the the 17 inch footprints found in the snow in that same area!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Midwestern where is that video. I actually was impressed by the dads reaction he seemed genuinely shooken up.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Here is the link for the FULL VIDEO and analysis too.

  11. I agree. I was impressed with the dad. Him and his son seem very genuine. He really seemed scared there and very nervous. In the early part of the clip he is so nervous about catching the BF he sees on film that he can;t stop his hands from shaking. That is real.

    ReplyDelete
  12. There is only so much they can fit in a 60 minute TV show. At least this video was covered by the fab four.

    ReplyDelete
  13. They didn't even attempt to evaluate it for all it truly was...then they concluded that it was a human! Unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Tim Stover's encounter is very convincing. Interesting how there is a history of white Bigfoots in this area. The Carbondale, PA Sasquatch (albino), the Ohio Stover sighting (grey/white), and the Murphysboro, IL Monster (dirty white). Interesting. All three states right in the same area of the country

    ReplyDelete
  15. I know, Karla, I am very frustrated, too. Amateurs! Hopefully Cliff will have a much more thorough analysis on his blog in the coming days.

    ReplyDelete
  16. LOL! Unclench your cheeks...good one, Autumn!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Man I watched a few of his videos and this one was really good. The one where Squatchmaster was pushed from behind I can live without.

Rictor they could have cut 2 minutes of that show so they could have shown more of that video. That last five minute night hike was a joke. If Ranae ever has a sighting I hope Moneymaker is with her and they film his reactions to her. That would be some awesome footage.

    ReplyDelete
  18. There were lots of bigfoots in the pushed from behind video, Broski. Look for a new video from Jeff soon that points some of them out.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Broski I so agree.

Tim was so sincere and Cliff was very complimentary of him.

Midwestern, glad you made it. LOL I was just reading your last posts on Autumn'a blog. It's hard having seen it two hrs before everyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Autumn, LOL your first post made me blush!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah I will check that out in the morning. I was reading his comments and he is on there now answering questions. They did show a dark image in the woods before he got pushed but it was a blobsquatch at best. You couldnt hear any steps in that video though.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They've kinda got this "elusive" reputation to live up to...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well yeah I understand that, but I'm 6ft 4 210 and I make a sound running in the woods, so I assume a 7ft 400 lb Squatch would as well. It did look like he fell hard though.

I do agree the FB team didn't do him much justice by showing a five second clip of video. The whole video is one of the.best I had seen.

  23. Blondie- where are you watching it from? I recognized the clip af=when they showed a preview after last week's show. Diring the week I re-watched Squatchmaster's clip a few times in preperation for this show. I wanted to be well informed in my comments. Glad to see you here too Blondie!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I watched it here at home at 10 EST. I'm just following along with Autumn and Shawn's commentary now. LOL

It's now 1am here in NC.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Autumn,I"m sorry. I had heard Sasquatch so many times I just knew it was more. Hope you didn't eat too much in preparation. I think what got me was the sentence where Bobo said it at least 4 times.

  26. rene is a ringer and has sold out

    ReplyDelete
  27. matt also has sold out by agreeing to even have someone of her caliber and i mean low caliber on the show, its realy agrevating to listen to her wack scientific bull science has no credibility when it comes to subject

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm glad to see there are some here that have the same opinion of Renea as I do. Her comment to Lorena about finding it very difficult to believe her story because this does not fit the mold of Bigfoots being shy and elusive. She seemed to just dismiss the encounter much as she did to Jenna in the Minnesota episode. Had Renea done 25% as much research as most of the people on this sitehave, she would soon realize that these kind of encounters happen from time to time ( and probably much more frequently, but people are afraid to come out for various reasons ). Bigfoots seem to be much more curious and at ease around women and children, and this alleged female Bigfoot probably saw the same motherly instinct in Lorena as it has. Matt was also right on calling Renea out on the either human or Bigfoot heel track in the creek bed. This is just another example of the biggest factor holding back Bigfoot research. That being the so called scientific community, not being able to see the forest for the trees, and the mainstream media that today can do no more than read a teleprompter.

I will check out the Squatchmaster's full video in more detail as you good folks suggest, as it is inacts a theory I have of something I found two years ago. I found a tree not 5 miles from my residence in March 2010, that was about the same size. It was 20 feet tall, six inches in diameter, and had been pulled down intact with the root exposed. At the 14 foot mark of the tree the bark had been scoffed up, and next to where it lay was a track in the small ditch next to the road,( St. rt. 721 outside of Laura, Ohio ). This track was 17 by 11 inches and two inches deep. I jumped up and down next to it withen 12 hours of this tree coming down ( I know this as I passed by this tree every day in the morning and very late at night and it fell down next to the road ). Although the ground was somewhat soft due to the record snowfalls in this area in February 2010, I could due no more than just make an indentation in the ground, to 1/4 inch.

    Chuck in Ohio

  29. To Anonymous at 12:16:00 AM above, someone of her "low caliber" is aggravating, but you don't mind the incessant "It's a squatch." "You see that broken branch, definitely a squatch." "Its well documented that squatches love playing monopoly in monocles and tophats."
Until the finding bigfoot crew attempts to either 1.) Stop spouting nonsensical BS about bigfoot or 2.) Attempt to offer some kind of evidence for the absurd claims they make, I would argue that they have way less credibility than their token "scientist."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Is it just me or are Ranae's boobs getting bigger? It seems like they get bigger every episode. Keep on squatchin!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I adore the show. I had a blast and I barely got buzzed which is good because I'm a lightweight. I still want to see the Hobo BoBo show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. i am anonymous 12:16, my name is steve from california, and i agree with you chuck, totaly im the bs on the show and they aer screwing over some of the best evidense that ohio has to offer

    ReplyDelete
  33. I still can't figure out why Jeff didn't zoom in.
I've seen the video countless times and always wonder why.
The tree is not that big around and many tree roots are shallow, unlike many plants that have deep roots.
    Another good live blog kids!.
Between this, the field notes, and debrief,I get a good sense of what went on.

  34. is it me or are the so called legit scientist the dumbest fucks on the scene of any bigfoot show on tv ie rene f#%%^king corprit ringer i feel bad for bobo he's a real bro california steve
