Black Bear or Sasquatch?

On page 2 of the Bull Run Mountains Conservancy’s Shooting the Breeze newsletter, there is an interesting article by Michele Thieme on a new scientific article:

The researchers in this study compared the potential distribution of Sasquatch with that of black bear (Ursus americanus). The species showed remarkably similar distributions and the same bioclimatic variables that determined where they were located…
So, next time you suspect you might be seeing a black bear in the nearby woods, it’s possible that you’ve sighted a Sasquatch instead. Wishing you much adventure and many exciting wildlife sightings in the year ahead!

  1. Nice new site; the photo above is from my trail cam in Virginia... pretty sure it's a black bear close to the lens, but you never know :-)
