Bigfoot dwells deep in the human subconscious when humans were one of a dozen or more hominds that our homo sapien sapien ancestors shared this planet with. Modern "Booger", Booger Man, and boogey man are campfire tales that the First Nations tribes used to scare their children into coming home or wandering off while it's dark out. Today the same thing occurs within the Developmentally disabled community for the same reason. An excellent example of this phenomenon would be "Mattsquatch", an adult male who's childlike simplicity due to Down Syndrome serves as a reminder of how and why myths likecSasquatch persist through out history.
