U.S. Military Encounters Giant
From Strange But True Stories on youtube comes a tale about the U.S. military encountering a 15 foot tall giant in the caves of Afghanistan.
Bigfoot injured by a forest fire was taken away and hidden by the authorities, not even Robert Lindsay can top this story
This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. This story was so disturbing and so shocking that nobody believed it at the time. It was the Robert Lindsay " Bear Hunter: Two Bigfoots Shot and DNA Samples Taken " story of the time. And like Robert's Bear Hunter story , this witness didn't have a name. The only thing known about the witness is that this person was a government employee, anonymous of course. The author of the story was a science teacher named Thom Powell who believe it really happened and that the whole story was an elaborate cover-up. Powell said the anonymous government employee alerted the BFRO about a 7.5 feet long/tall burn victim with "multiple burns on hands, feet, legs and body; some 2nd and 3rd degree burns". This summer I will have been researching sasquatch for 27 years. Athough not my profession I have held a keen interest in biology especially ecosystems. I have spent countless hours out in the field, reading literature, even interviewing eyewitnesses and following any bigfoot related media I could find.
ReplyDeleteAs the years fall behind me my enthusiasm for the subject has slowly faded with each and every disapointment, dead end, charlatan and wild claim.
Despite having an open mind in all my years I have never come across a single piece of evidence that has convinced me it could have come from such a species.
With my own shortcomings in the field I looked at what others were doing who could perhaps get into the more remote areas that I couldnt. But nothing has come from these people either. Blurry tree pictures? No thanks.
Each promised "evidence will be released soon" has turned out to be nothing. Biscardi, Dyer, Meldrum, BFRO, Standing, Ketchum, Sykes, Smeja, Brian Brown, Johnson the list goes on. No end in sight and ultimately no definitive bigfoot evidence.
I always held out hope that in this sea of madness technology would catch up and these elusive creatures would no longer be able to hide (how can a 9 foot hominid hide its heat signature from an aerial thermal survey for example). What we actually find is further excuses from proponants, of which I myself am guilty, of applying impossible attributes to try to explain away why we have no substantiated evidence. This which I have now realised is a one way road to insanity (see dr johnson).
With everything said and done I have made up my mind on the subject. There simply is no such species.

RW, ikdummy is from Wales, never stepped foot in the US, and mentions alcohol in his posts frequently. He is also not formally educated but goes overboard compensating by trying to sound scientic, his overuse of terms like morphology can become annoying. In actuality, he looks at the existence of bigfoot as his "intellectual" exercise where he "proves" a fantasy creature as being real through "logic", plaster casts, and anecdotal evidence. It's a drunken, uneducated fool's way of getting back at the world.
DeleteI can sit in front of the TV 4,000 miles away, communicate with people who have spent 20, 30, even 50 years in the American wilderness that you're too scared to venture and ask their educated opinions about these "fantasy creatures". DeleteRW I have reached the same conclusion after an interest in the subject of over 50 years. Although I never did the research that you have, I can no longer even entertain the possibility (at least here in the continental United States). My interest now extends to those who continue to believe. I don't believe they can all be outright lying however I think they are mistaken in their assertions. In spite of what is being put forward there is NO strong evidence to prove conclusively they exist - period.

For the past 27... 50 years even, there has not only been an adequate flow of eyewitness reports from very reliable, very experienced people in wilderness areas... But the footprint evidence has equated to something that is pretty much irrefutable as far as evidence goes.

In the above link is a paper published in the Journal of Scientific Exploration, Vol. 30, No. 3, pp. 356–374, 2016. You'll notice that Dr Jeff Meldrum presents the exact same foot morphology from two casts found in North America, with that of one sourced in China.
Essentially, this provides irrefutable proof that the track impressions are from the same species of biped. Hoaxers from different continents would have to have guessed a shared morphology of Sasquatch foot inline with bipedal evolution that only very few academics understand. To see this evidence as inadequate, is to see it through agenda-ridden or bitter eyes. It's really all that simple. And that's without even getting into the footage, audio recordings and hair samples.
The amount of people who spend a lot of time in the wildness who don't come across anything, compared to those who do, is exactly what one would expect from a hominin that has evaded classification for hundreds of years. It's left a lot of people flat but that's unfortunately the way it goes. The rarity of those sightings and sourced evidence, does by no means tarnish the evidence that does exist. If you wanna spend time watching the kooks, that's cool... But step up to the standard of experts starting to publish solid evidence, or end up just as bad as he kooks for giving them the attention they crave.
If you review ikdummys own posts on this page alone, you'll note he mentions alcohol, incorporates his go-to big science word "morphology", goes on about the "all important" plaster casts, and returns to his worn out debating schtick...he even says he "schools" people...ironic because he lacks formal education beyond high school but seems desperate to compensate for his obvious lack of schooling. If you've read my above posts you'll see I hit the nail on the head regarding ikdummy.
