DeleteThose clinging to supernatural beliefs are trying to rationalize the inconceivable fact that we have become unaware of a branch of our own species coexisting next to us.
Occasionally evolution produces a design that is wildly successful if measured by the longevity of the species. Archaics are the crocodile of primates, a machine so perfectly suited to our environment that it would undoubtedly survive cataclysms that would easily wipe us out. I find that thought comforting.
