Giants, Trolls, Werewolves... Arizona Is A Crazy Place!

Giant skeletons unearthed, trolls in the mountains, werewolves lurking about, I had no idea Arizona was such a happening place when it came to monsters! They have something for any cryptozoologist. Check it out:

Giants

Gigantic human remains, sometimes with red hair, have been reported across America, many of them in the Desert Southwest. A giant human skull was once found in a cliff dwelling south of Winslow, Arizona, according to “The Complete Guide to Mysterious Beings,” by the great paranormal investigator John Keel. “It was so big that a size 7[E] Stetson was placed on it and ‘looked like one of those tiny hats merrymakers wear on New Year’s’.” The skull also had a gold tooth.

Workers reportedly discovered a huge stone coffin in Fort Crittenden, Arizona, in 1891. The coffin held a skeleton that measured 12 feet tall, and had 12 toes.

A man named Samuel Hubbard is said to have found the mummified bodies of two giant humans (15 to 18 feet tall) in a cave in the Grand Canyon in 1923. This is 14 years after the Phoenix Gazette published the account of explorer G.E. Kinkaid who said he discovered a cave in the canyon filled with Egyptian artifacts, including mummies.

    Gee thanx for this great post! We have a lot of mysterious beasties and places which is why I adore living here. Bigfoot hunting in the mts by Flagstaff is what keeps me busy.

    I met John Keel once - nice guy but towards the end did not believe Bigfoot were real in the sense of being physical but more like distortions of reality that could pop in and out. I always felt he took some liberties when reporting stories as well.

    I always have to raise my eyebrows a bit when words such as "reportedly" and "is said" are used. Not exactly confidence building words.

Bigfoot injured by a forest fire was taken away and hidden by the authorities, not even Robert Lindsay can top this story

This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. This story was so disturbing and so shocking that nobody believed it at the time. It was the Robert Lindsay " Bear Hunter: Two Bigfoots Shot and DNA Samples Taken " story of the time. And like Robert's Bear Hunter story , this witness didn't have a name. The only thing known about the witness is that this person was a government employee, anonymous of course. The author of the story was a science teacher named Thom Powell who believe it really happened and that the whole story was an elaborate cover-up. Powell said the anonymous government employee alerted the BFRO about a 7.5 feet long/tall burn victim with "multiple burns on hands, feet, legs and body; some 2nd and 3rd degree burns".
