Hair-raising Interview with Ron Morehead And How He Captured The Sierra Sounds

Ron Morehead is the father of the "Sierra Sounds". It's one of the best evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot. Morehead gave this hair-raising interview with Dreamland not too long ago. Morehead explains the strange creatures and their personalities:

When the other hunters and I first encountered a family of these creatures in 1971, although we had guns, we were still concerned. Their aggressive, intimidating vocalizations were huge and extremely disrupting. However, after the initial intimidation we realized their intentions were not to harm us, but perhaps toy with us. So we relaxed a bit.

That being said, a few years went by, never captured a picture, but were fortunate enough to capture their vocalizations. By 1974 their intimidating sounds moved more toward communicative. We looked forward to interacting with them, we left food for them to eat and they left pine-cones for our fire. I felt a definite kinship developing, but I always wondered, “What are they? Why won’t they come out from behind those big trees and really make friends with me”…rarely did we catch a glimpse, but after all this time they still kept their secrets at bay.

For years I've heard reports of them harassing people by throwing rocks, stalking them from the bushes, or just messing around. And for so long I've carefully kept those reports inside, thinking, “What’s missing from these pictures?” They haven’t attempted to hurt me or any of the others at our Sierra Camp. They are like a reclusive, hidden, aboriginal people…they must have a very pertinent reason for being the way they are.

Like most animals, they are different in their personalities, yet from my experience around them, they are also cognizant. I've written about this in several articles and included many of them in my book, “Voices in the Wilderness.”

    2. In fact they do JOE. 40 years later and still the best, although I am hearing some pretty good one lately, it is just nothing comes close to catching the volume of one unless you have heard it yourself and I have heard a few from 30 feet to well over a mile.

Toying with us seems reasonable, however I am certain some do want to make friends. The clan master makes sure this does not happen Whether it is learned, inbred or probably both, it could just be the survival of their species depends on it. After seeing the white man come and shot everything in the woods ( I have no problem with responsible hunting, I have been one myself ) for 500 years, making friends does not seem the logical route. I am certain it can be achieved though I am clueless how to make this happen. Someday I will give it a shot, but I like what a few people are doing today and maybe perseverance will pay off.

    6. That was a fascinating interview and those Sierra sounds are quite some thing and i think your right Chuck, some of them probably do want make friends, they're probably just as curious about us as we are about them.
Also i think Dec 2012 was the beginning of a shift in consciousness to a higher vibration which is not before time because heaven knows we need it xx

    7. Chuck that's exactly what I was going to say. Is that whenever a good piece of audio comes out and we all strap on our headphones and go to soundcloud, this is still the go-to standard bearer that we compare these new submissions to and that says a lot about the quality of it. And Ron Morehead is nothing short of one of my heroes in this genre. Good Stuff!

    13. Been gone all afternoon. I really like that observation you made EVA R. Something I have not associated however there seems to be a change taking place because I know of several habituations going on around this continent and some have been going on for over two years. The human landowners have had a higher consciousness and treating the sasquatch more like guest and not a pest and that is my optimism.

      Bravo indeed Eva R

And MIKE B if anyone would know it is you. Your input has helped immensely in this field.

  8. This still is some of the best evidence out there. I wish Ron would get with someone who could verify, and document the evidence he is collecting. Its obvious they have a relationship with this tribe, they recognize Ron and his associates. So go up there with a small team of scientists and his old group to make sure the scents are right. This might seem weird but to cover up the scents of the scientists, I would make sure the known components of Rons group not shower for days prior to going up and the new members say the scientists practice scent removal hourly prior to trekking up there. What ever Ron and Co. probably have a workable procedure to introduce new team members to the clan. But GET UP THERE!!!
