Les Stroud of Survivorman and Bigfoot North Project Dealing with Family Tragedy
Les Stroud posted recently that his son Logan, pictured above, has been diagnosed with Leukemia AML. We wish Les and his family the best, and we look forward to seeing Logan get better.
"Well folks I have been dreading this post. First the good news: never fear for the future – there will be much more of Survivorman yet – in all its variations – I will be heading back out in the near future to resume filming. As well I have two new albums in the works due out this year and supported by as many new concerts and appearances as I can get in. (At the moment I am looking at concerts at the Sturgis Bike Rally in ND as well as shows in Minneapolis and St Loius). I’m working on developing the first official Survivorman survival kit as well as updating the Les Stroud knives. However the hardest and saddest news is this: If you have been watching the Survivorman shows this year and you watched Survivorman and Son then you got to briefly know my son Logan. You may have even noticed he didn't quite have the get up and go or enthusiasm that I usually have. We now know the reason. He was diagnosed a month ago with Leukemia AML with a cytogenetic classification of 8:21. He has had his first hit of Chemotherapy and I have been at his bedside for most of this past month. I am going public with this for one reason only. I would appreciate your prayers, your positive thinking and your remote healing and visualizations of him healthy and strong again and able to make more Survivorman and Son shows. Please, I ask for no advice at this point as we are certainly focused on the good doctors at Toronto’s Sick Kids hospital and that is where you can send get well cards and wishes if you feel so inclined. He will be fighting this fight for the next four months. My deepest feelings of empathy go out to those in similar situations. If you had noticed I have not been posting or tweeting as much as usual, now you know why. Thank you and sorry for this kind of news today…Les"
My prayers are with your son and you Les.
ReplyDeleteLet's collectively pray for him.
DeleteWhat an awful thing to wake up to. My thoughts are sincerely with the Strouds.
DeleteI just wish it was Joe Fitzgerald with leukemia and not Logan. Get well soon.
DeleteSad news.
DeleteThe kid is young and strong and has every chance of pulling through.
MMG
Ah man, that is sad. I hope he pulls through this.
ReplyDeleteHealing <<>> to Logan!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, the good news is more Survivorman episodes.
ReplyDeleteHave chemo. Get healthy. Blame it on the prayers and remote healing. Sorry but this shit is irrational.
ReplyDeleteGoof!
DeleteOh yea of little faith! Google Ronnie Hawkins remote healing and read that incredible story of surviving.
DeletePRAYERS TO LES AND LOGAN!
ReplyDeleteALL CAPS
All good, positive thoughts to Logan.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for Logan and the whole family. Prayers as well.
ReplyDeleteWanting the very best for Logan, Prayers for them to have wisdom and strength, with a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteAll well wishes going out to the Stroud family and especially to their son, Logan. Kick some chemo ass, Logan! Stay strong!
ReplyDeleteFor Shawn, who apparently never studied English, or at least did not stay awake in class, a "Tragedy" is a bad event that is over and done with, for which no other outcome is possible. On the other hand, a "Challenge" is some event either currently looming or looming ahead whose outcome could go either way but a successful outcome is a real possibility. Let's try and get it right next time.
ReplyDeleteACHTUNG!
DeleteVery impressive mein apprentice.
Prayers....thats funny...just like alot of people....Any other time it"s God who???....Then trouble comes...then it's "oh pray for me"....I don't see Les doing any "Lord's work" until the hour of need...So many people just want a God that is only "there" for them..totally one sided. Sad.... Just remember one day....your only going to have what you've given to God...For alot of people thats a scarey thought.....Ahteist get all dressed up when they die, and no place to go....except down..
ReplyDeleteta... (don't worry..I won't be here to read your stupid comments)..
