SquatchDetective Steve Kulls Analysis on Todd Standing Bigfoot Image with Surprising Results

The SquatchDetective Steve Kulls has been very busy lately. Today he released his analysis on one of the Todd Standing bigfoot images. The image was from a series of photos and videos showing what appears to be a bigfoot type creature. In one of the videos the creature even blinks. Controversy has surrounded the images since Standing first released them years ago. Many feel that the images are fake, nothing more than a prop, but still others adamantly support Standing and believe the creature is real. So what did Steve Kulls' analysis determine? Check it out below:

"Section 1 – Examining Camera Settings

1. The still of the video is not a still at all but in actuality was a photograph taken with a Canon model EOS 60D.

2. The photo was taken on May 9th, 2011 at 4:59 PM (Believed to be in the same time zone as Edmonton, Alberta, Canada).

3. The ISO speed was 100, meaning you are in need of longer exposure time. Not a speed you would set your photographic equipment for something that would move fast such as a Sasquatch, Deer or a student running a track race (something I have had experience with.) This is the LOWEST ISO setting. Also needed for this exposure is ample light which the plant matter in the front appears to have plenty of unlike the subject in the background."

  3. Steve Kulls "analysis" is a joke.

-Mr Kulls claims an ISO of 100 means "you're in need of longer exposure time, and not a good setting for what Standings was doing. WRONG!

On a nice, sunny, day, using an ISO of 100 should be fine, except for maybe shooting in a really dark, shaded area (which it wasn't.) And even then you could get a good shot by opening up your aperture and slowing down your shutter speed.

The truth is; Standing probably had his camera set to Auto, which means his camera would have taken care of all this.

    - Kulls incorrectly used the common photography term "depth of field." And instead said "field of depth."

This is camera 101, day one stuff. No camera enthusiast worth their salt would confuse that, especially an expert like Kulls is claiming to be.

And probably his most inexcusable mistake of all: Kulls said:

"5. The exposure time is 1/30, by standard “1/30 s: Used for panning subjects moving slower than 30 miles per hour (48 km/h) and for available-light photography."

Someone should explain to Kulls that 1/30 means that the camera's "shutter" is set to expose the film or the camera's sensor for 1 - 30th of a second (which is pretty slow,) and has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with miles per hour or panning. (this guy is WAY off)

Steve Kulls might be an expert at other things, but photography ain't his bag.

    5. Only thing funnier and sadder than a Bigfoot Hoaxer, is a Bigfoot "expert" trying to bust or discredit them when they in fact have no expertise or backround experience themselves.

    6. Kulls is hired to keep this phenomenon in the dark and continue the ridicule. There are many people out there who do this, They will spit out intelligent analysis to sway your mind back to the species being fake. This is known for YouTube. Fake accounts that will explain a controversy, for example: a ufo story, the comment will deeply explain how it was light reflecting off a flock of seagulls ... etc

  14. Kulls appears to have an honest interest in finding proof of the species. Despite his intent however, he is an idiot. As if the subject in the photo couldn't have been standing in a shaded area beyond the lighted branch in the foreground? Ever been in the woods, Kulls?
Never mind his presumptuous attempts to debunk the pics with his "photo-expert" analysis of the camera and it's settings, etc., he's trying hard to make a point and connect dots that just aren't there.
He's an attention-hound like many others in this realm, hence why he'd bother posting his "extensive analysis" of the Standing pics. Thing is, he applies his own ignorant, flawed logic to things he knows little about like light & shade, nature photography and camera specifications. He obtusely stands by his own assessments, thus showing that he's wrong, that he's debunked nothing and,...that he is an idiot. Gawd Bless him if he's truly in the hunt but damn, he's missing the boat altogether. Period.
