Rare White Deer Spotted in Monterey By Bart Cutino's Wife

Kim Cutino (wife of Bart) snapped some pictures of an albino black tail deer feeding in Pacific Grove CA neighborhood last month. The last time an albino deer was photograph in this area was back in 2010. According to this article they are exceptionally rare:

Throughout history people have been fascinated by rare sightings of albino whitetail deer. In fact, these mystical ghosts of the woods have been the center of many ancient Native American legends and folklore. Encounters with solid white deer were even documented in journal entries by early European explorers in the big woods country of present day Wisconsin. The natural intrigue with white deer can probably be best explained by their unusual appearance that catches both the eye and our imagination. According to biologists, the recessive gene that causes albinism in whitetail deer is very uncommon. The chances of an albino deer being born are only 1 in 20,000. In addition, the solid white coats of the deer make them more susceptible to attack from predators, which dramatically decrease the overall survival rate of these special whitetails. With that being said, very few people will ever have the opportunity to catch a mere glimpse of these white ghosts. However, there is a unique place in Wisconsin called Boulder Junction that is home to an unbelievable number of wild albino deer.

  6. They aren't that uncommon. We have one or two around here every year or so, we also get pie bald's all the time.

In fact, my cousin had a full body mount of his pie bald (almost all white) 6 point whitetail in his living room

    1. Nah. TBH the reason many people don't see albinos or pie balls is because they stand out like a sore thumb to ALL predators. They are often a bit smaller in stature and have other abnormalities as well.

In other words, they don't have a long lifespan anyway regardless of hunting.

    1. When has he ever stuck to bigfoot stuff?? Now that Shawn has censored things, he will find that his blog hits are going to sink faster than the titanic. It will be the same 4 goons talking back and forth and most people will leave. Then Shawn will uncensor things again and us trolls will return and nail the goons. Watch and see. This site was all about the comments and the trolls, no one cared about the topics. This is the biggest bigfoot spam site on the net. How could you not realize that, have your eyes been closed this whole time?
