If you've never heard of The legend of Boggy Creek, here's the full movie. The Legend of Boggy Creek is a 1972 horror docudrama about the "Fouke Monster", a Bigfoot-type creature that has been seen in and around Fouke, Arkansas since the 1950s. The film mixes staged interviews with some local residents who claim to have encountered the creature, along with fictitious reenactments of said encounters. Charles B. Pierce, an advertising salesman from Texarkana on the Arkansas/Texas border, borrowed over $100,000 from a local trucking company, used an old movie camera and hired locals (mainly high school students) to help make the 90-minute film. It has generated approximately $20 million in revenue:
FIRST, AGAIN?!!
ReplyDeleteALL CAPS
Ok quit shouting already!
DeleteQuiet, it's my nappy time.
DeleteSecond! Hey that's a thing right guys?
ReplyDeleteNice second-- you are on the only site in the whole world wide inter-webiverse that still honors the tradition of firsting. Some here will scoff at you, but pay them no heed.
DeleteGot wood ape?
ReplyDeleteGot ape wood?
DeleteGot woodie?
DeleteIf I was trying to track down the elusive donut stealing, peanut butter sandwich eating, giant ape beast, I wouldn't waste mg time where one was supposedly seen 40 years ago. Just one of the gazillion reasons why this show is a joke.
ReplyDeleteI guarantee you they only go to places on this show they can "burn". They plan on concocting their own excitement with editing as needed. These guys know they will basically get nothing with the mass of people required to produce the show so. The good reliable places received by witnesses are not put out there like that.
Delete^^I thought you meant Fatsano. My mistake.
DeleteThe fake Monster, er, I meant the Fouke Monster was proven a hoax many years ago. In the 40 years since that film came out, ther have been very little activity (Sighting reports) from that area.
ReplyDeleteWhy t Animal Planet would pick this location for the start of their FINDING BIGFOOT series, I can't imagine why?
Why would anyone, any RESEARCHER start tracking a 40 year old track. Even Rick Dyer THE BEST BIGFOOT TRACKER IN THE WORLD wouldn't be able to track something that's 40 years old! Even John Wayne. . . . .
I predict this after all 16 episodes are aired, they will still have found nothing!
I predict more dubbed in sounds(sounds the viewers can actually hear) More hoaxd scenes, More hoaxed Thermal Images, More Drama, and more: WHAT"S THAT? OH MY GOD! This series will be Epic!
What are you trying to say?
DeleteHey unbelieving jackass skeptic, just how was the Fouke Monster proven to be a hoax?
DeleteYes, do tell.
DeleteTHANKS RICK FOR YOUR INPUT.
DeleteOh, so touchy, I must of hit a nerve! Scan the internet fools, it's been proven a hoax. The Ford family said they made up the story.
DeleteNo, I'm a knower. This show makes all serious researchers and believers, look like idiots!
You believe what the Ford family says?
DeleteI know the Ford family. They lied about lying in order to protect the Fouke Monster creatures that live in the swamp. The son said that they said it was a hoax in order to try to keep
Delete"bigfoot tourists" from coming to the area.
It's not the show that makes all serious researchers and believers look like idiots.
DeleteThanks for that piece a non 6 37. I know the first encounter shook the family up so bad they moved out within a week and on member was hospitalized for shock.
DeleteThe local authorities found tracks and destruction they could not understand. I could not blame them for the cover up as this place came alive with hunters and several several hoaxers, and someone was going to get shot.
Chuck
Chuck old Smokey Crabtree never met a person he didn't personally threaten to kill. Still. Monster Hunters have captured all sorts of images in sulphur river bottoms. From Black Panthers to possible squatches. M
DeleteSurely they aren't looking the same creature, if they are there, there must be a breeding population, so it makes sense to look in the area
DeleteI was able to find 20 reports in a very limited search for Miller County, Ark. that last one being in 2012. . If you take the surrounding area in AR, and TX, there are quite a few more. Take the number of reports and multiply by 10 as most people do not officially report their encounters ( of all the people I have talked to and that is a lot only one person filed a report ) and you have an area rich with Bigfoot activity. This is a swampy area and Bigfoots are quite comfortable in swamps. In fact the first one I saw was crossing a swamp.
ReplyDeleteAs for your predictions, no argument here. Its the nature of the show. The crew will not allow the producers to hoax things, but they are highly dramatized.
Chuck
No your wrong about the crew not accepting hoaxing. That track Ranae and Cliff found along a trail, was hoaxed by the production company, as the ratings were falling. (they the production crew admitted it) Maybe the crew wasn't in on it, maybe they were. Also in an earlier episode, where Matt shouted THERE'S SOMETHING ON THE HILL. Matt said it was local trying to Punk the crew. Cliff said he thought it was the closet he came to seeing a bigfoot!
DeleteThe Crew to they're credit, swore they would never hoax anything.
But now with rating dropping, and competition from the show MOUNTAIN MONSTERS, they will be hoaxing alot!
I also perdict, this will be they're last season.
Well, many shows don't make it fornfour seasons. Even classics. The Honeymooners only lasted one season, and the Dick Van Dyke show only ran five seasons.
DeleteYes the Honeymooners and the Dick Van Dyke will always be remembered as classics, but FB will soon be forgotten!
DeleteAnd. . . back then, there was a lesser population of Idiots!
The crew is not going to accept hoaxing and have pointed it out. I would not doubt for a minute that the producers would try to hoax some things for ratings. It is not the intention of the producers to do any more than sheer entertainment and drive ratings, actually finding a bigfoot and filming it is an afterthought, and with the amount of people in the woods making noise this is not going to happen, although an unprovable thermal is a possibility.
ReplyDeleteChuck
There is zero hoaxing going on. I am confident that they will find bigfoot.
ReplyDelete^YES! that's the sort of positive thinking this field needs...
DeleteWhat planet anon 6:32 were you born on? I am from Mars!
DeleteIf they ever find irrefutable evidence of a Bigfoot, the show is over. Why? Because what do they do after that in order to up the treat? They would all be out of a job since it would be a hard act to follow. Since there is nothing that can trump finding irrefutable evidence, they therefore won't find irrefutable evidence. They will continue to find maybe evidence, and in the process, inadvertantly prove that what they are pursuing is paranormal. Without admitting that it is paranormal, of course.
ReplyDeleteShow over after finding a bigfoot? No of course not!!!
DeleteI see Patty. I want to see Patty more. I want to see hundreds of Patties. I see one Sasquatch. I am fascinated. I want to see more more more!!!
If they got good footage of a bigfoot, the ratings would smash through the roof and we all would look forward to them finding and filming other individuals.
You see the PGF, and ho hum, you don't want to see any other bigfoot footage?
That makes no sense.
You see the PGF, and you want to see more more more footage and evidence!!!
BFRO is basically CIA funded via black budget, Matt's just a puppet like Disotell is for science.
DeleteThey will capture a few images this year. MM and Bobo have already confirmed that. As has the extended trailer. Chuck. Take it easy bro!
ReplyDelete^images of what? vague, nondescript taterholes?
DeleteIt looked like a paunchy out of shape "bigfoot". Reminded me of a beer bellied squatch hunter, just sayin.
DeleteIs there any other kind. I imagine your room littered with their imagery. Hard to find a good comic book in that mess...just replying.
DeleteI like the mountain monster guys. They take a different gung ho no nonsense approach and these guys are woodsmen. However I have a very difficult time with them always finding their prey every episode and I think the production team is way overboard, but it is fun and I would love to be on a chase with these guys.
ReplyDeleteDon't let those monster axis bucks run you over, Mike. They may be more dangerous than what is pushing them. I had a doe that wanted to jump in my ground blind once a long time ago.. That was strange.
We got a sunny day in the mid 50s today here in southern Ohio and a day off so I am going to do the Montrose thing and jump on my bad motor scooter and ride. Talk to you later bro.
Chuck
Ronnie(so sad) Montrose...R.I.P..but not a big Sammy fan after that < B-)
DeleteWhen did Ronnie die?
DeleteI believe march of last year(2012)...suicide.
Delete< B''- (
The man could play the guitar. Just sad...
DeleteWatching Finding Bigfoot is kind of like watching a vicious ghetto assault that was caught on camera. You know you shouldn't be watching but you are afraid to look away.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I feel when I'm here at BE. But I keep coming back.
DeleteThe Legend of Boggy Creek is the only video to take with you on a camping trip.
ReplyDeleteHey anybody! What ever happened to those old farts from Ohio, Dallas and Wayne, are they still talking to the bigfoots, what happened to their show?
ReplyDeleteWayne is still shitting in a bucket and Dallas still watches porn 24/7.
