Kipp's Meme of The Day: Todd Standing Met Up With Survivorman And...
Our friend Kipp M. shared this hilarious meme today in the Squatchers Louge Facebook group. Though fans of Standing believe Canadian Bigfoot researcher he has one of the clearest footage of Bigfoot, others believe the "Bigfoot" filmed is actually a Muppet created by his sister.

For those not familiar with Standing, he's the Bigfoot Hunter from Canada who claims to know of a secret valley where he believes a group of Bigfoots are living. The natives refer to the place as Sylvanic, located between Kootenay National Park and Banff. During previous expeditions to Sylvanic, Standing had captured videos and photos of the the creatures as evidence, but skeptics called them hoaxes.
Standing is now Les Stroud's official guide for a new show titled, Survivorman Stalking Sasquatch.

If you have witnessed a bigfoot that has a 'gap' where it's mouth is, just like the one in the first picture then you too are also being hoaxed.
The Sylvanic story has so many flaws and inconsistencies therein. It is quite rightly dismissed by virtually all.
Standing has a full gallery of close up pictures of 'bigfoot'. If any of these were vaguely credible then these pictures would outstrip the PGF as evidence. As it stands, Todd's pictures do nothing but harm those who truly seek the truth.
You are a good man Rush. So many good, honest researchers out there that could have done with your backing.

ReplyDeleteShow me a forest valley that doesn't have a clan of Bigfoot in it. The author above appears to be interested in casting doubt on Standing's claims, that are hardly extraordinary. Bigfoot are everywhere. Bigfoot most likely live inside the city limits of every major city in America and Canada, as well as all of the isolated smaller cities. They are everywhere.

Seriously if you zoom in and have a good look you can clearly see a huge thick ass mask seam round the mouth that is if you managed to suspend your disbelief after seeing that top left black marble used as an eye. DeleteI remain one of Standing's most ardent critics. However I am also after the truth. That said, the second photo above should not be discounted so easily. HOWEVER, as I recall when it was first published, I do not believe it was taken by Todd Standing. Without going back through the materials, I seem to recall him saying it came from someone else in British Columbia. I suspect it was someone who contacted Standing due to all the publicity he was getting. Maybe this blog should verify this directly with the source.
ReplyDeleteI am open to that particular image being real because it does look like an actual bigfoot. How would I know? Because I've come within 25 feet of one and looked it in the eye when almost running into it in my vehicle in the 70's.
I wish Standing would stop playing the big promoter. In all his bigfoot endeavors, he never willingly volunteered information about his video production company under his alias name Todd Rockwell. He never clarified just what that company's video production capabilities were. As such, I doubt he will ever come clean about Sylvanic, the so called expeditions where his little sister was along, and many other claims. If he has one real image at his disposal its likely because it came from someone else who sadly bought his stories.
Due to the manner in which Standing has concocted stories in the past, he has damaged his own reputation, and thus very little coming from him (and unfortunately, now Survivorman too given the prior history) will be believed. Standing has succeeded on his own in tarnishing his own self image and credibility.

*Claiming there was a '2' X 2' (or sometimes it was 2' X 4') hole through a mountain chain". (The picture with him on his back in some rocks is the one he originally claimed was the hole through the mtn).
*Having never heard a vocalization as he stated on a certain radio show
*Sylvanic taking 3 days to reach on snowmobile
*Alias Todd Rockwell with ownership of a sizable video production company.
*Claiming that he had to rent a 16mm camera on his first expedition which caught footage of bigfoot but that magnetic fields somehow destroyed the film (magnetics have no effect on film).
*Having only a 3 megapixel camera operated by the "woman of the expedition" (lil sis).
*Claiming a near 50 megabyte image file of bigfoot that nobody ever saw.
