Poll: If Dr. Melba Ketchum Proves Bigfoot, Will You Apologize?

Nobody wants to see Dr. Melba Ketchum fail. Some of us have been following her journey to discovery for almost 5 years now. At her highest point, she had most of the Bigfoot community's support, and few would dare to challenge or question the validity of her ongoing study. Ketchum received a huge influx of support from all over the world after her interview on Coast to Coast AM calling for Bigfoot enthusiasts to donate whatever form of psychical evident they have. Two years after her interview, and 100 samples later, she now holds the key to unlocking one of the world's biggest mystery, Bigfoot.

However, this all went downhill after years of promising and delaying the results. It didn't help her cause when she decided to share a "stick structure" photo, and made claims about a playful family of five Bigfoots. These wild claims gave credence to gossips by bloggers such as Robert Lindsay who wrote articles about Bigfoots horse braiding her horses, and her Bigfoot rape fantasy.

Now, we are here at the end of the year, The Year of The Sasquatch. Ketchum is finally delivering on her promise, or at least appear to. Some of her early supporters have now defected after two years of unclear progress. These former supporters are now referred to as "skeptics", "doubting Thomases", and "naysayers". Even Bigfoot Evidence blog is now considered to be an "anti-Ketchum" site even though 95 percent of our articles are in support of Ketchum.

With that all said-- If Ketchum's paper does pass peer review and prove that Bigfoot is a living, breathing, being, should defectors and skeptics apologize for their criticism? That's our poll question for today:

If Ketchum Proves Bigfoot, Will You Apologize?

Here are the latest statements from inside and outside the Ketchum camp:

"I just wanted to address a great question that was asked. We are currently awaiting for the peer review to be done. We are confident it will go thru and be published. However many are asking if something were to happen what would we do about the paper. Let me reassure you THIS PAPER IS COMING OUT. If something were to happen (we feel it will be published) and it isnt Melba will still bring it out for the world to see. This paper is solid and can stand on its own if necessary." - Robin Lynne Forestpeople

"When Dr Melba Ketchum's Bigfoot DNA report is finally released, the "Naysayers" and "Doubting Thomases" will find a new issue to be negative and mean about toward their fellow man. They can't help it because it's their "nature" to behave in such ways. One could say it's in their "genes".

Hey, there's a new DNA study for Dr Melba Ketchum and Dr Sykes. Studying the derisive "Mean Gene". Everyone knows there's a lot of available samples out there to collect." - Dr. Matthew Johnson

"I think EVERYONE in Bigfooting wishes she would succeed in this DNA project. However, many have lost faith, and they have lost it because of what SHE and her allies have said and done. For years we have stood up in support of this project, but now we have reached the point where we feel either betrayed or deeply suspicious of their motives and sincerity, if not their very sanity." - Steven Streufert

  2. I cannot wait for the publication of Dr. Ketchum's paper. She is going to validate so many aspects of Sasquatch behavior: wood knocking, calling, hair braiding and so much more. Hopefully when she is doing the tv circuit after publication she will let us know more about her firsthand experiences watching Sasquatch move objects with their minds. The scientific community will be fascinated by hard evidence of telekinesis. Lets hope they don't try to sabotage the study.

    1. Ketchum is def a loon. Her weird ass theories about angels or nephilim, and possible sexual thing with bigfoots. This all came from HER, not from outside sources. Shes nuts... It won't make the "paper" or results any more real.

Watch how the real scientists interpret those same samples and results to mean something completely different. and THAT is how this will play out. Stupid bleevers... don't get your hopes up. The train crash is coming.

She's said enough times lately that it's within weeks not months anymore, you can start foaming at the mouths again if nothing happens in the next 2-4 weeks. Real bigfooters with the species' best interest im mind should continue to stand by this study, when it's out voice your piece then, not that I think you'll be listened to much if you're critical because it does contain the species goods ladies and gents.

  3. It doesn't matter what type of hype is blown onto this. It's still crap, and there is no bigfoot. You need to have the actual bigfoot in your hands to declare it. (a specimen is REQUIRED) Shes just mis interpreting results to mean something it doesn't contaminated, or degraded samples of regular old humans does not equate into bigfoot no matter which way you try and spin your yarn...

Poppycock. As they say. All of it.

    1. DNA doesn't lie. If it shows unknown hominid, then there's some out there right now. IF, it's replicated results from several different labs, with same results, then it's good data. It would never be contaminated in the same way at several different labs. That is what you're implying. Something out there right now, is producing the same unknown dna. There is no declaration, there's just intelligent extrapolation of the data. That's what science is and does. Extrapolation: bigfoots are out there now, and the poor little piddly brained humans are not smart enough to catch them.

"unknown hominid" could maen modern human not in genbank. It could also mean "unidentified primate" which is the same old terms used for decades describing "alleged" bigfoot samples.

It will be vetted, and her claims will be a big pile of poo in the believers face for trusting this persons theories. Look into the person and her claims specifically. Not just the washed down version. If you still feel like supporting the claims, then have fun washing the poo off of your faces.

      Delete
    8. @1:58....the nuDNA will likely show a new species of hominid. It's that simple. genetic sequences never before seen. Can't be modern human. There will be many more studies, this is just the first. Only the data has meaning, not what person sequenced it. Many different labs sequenced this study, so what does it matter what Ketchum's personal past is? The "decades" of testing was always mtDNA, not nuDNA. Big difference. This will be the first data from nuDNA testing of suspected bigfoot samples. All the witnesses can't be lying, all the footprints can't be faked. Some are for sure. People may lie and deceive, but DNA does not.
The data is not washed down, it is not yet available. Having not seen it, we're both guessing. If the data can be duplicated several times by different labs, it will then be a matter of interpretation. For that the experts in the field will have to do it for us. That will be most interesting. Just what will they agree or disagree on? Wait another month or two, enjoy the Christmas season, and the great debate will ensue. Hybrid? Unknown hominid? How do they do what they do? What type of mental processes do they posses? What do they eat? How do they maintain their huge body mass? Do they have to pursue food all of their waking hours or do they spend most of their time playing like dolphins?

      Delete
    9. If a sample is contaminated, it is contaminated, no matter how many different labs analyze it.

    10. You do not need a specimen. You need actual DNA that does not match human DNA but is close. We already have early human types of DNA: Denisovan and Neanderthal and it is believed that we may have mated with them long ago ( Many scientific articles on this on Smithsonian & Nature online).

    1. It's not anti Melba, it's anti misinformation that she is putting out.

For those of you who cannot understand how DNA works, you cannot have a reading that says 100% Homo-Sapien + unknown primate. Now the results could say 100% primate with Homo-Sapien and unclassified Hominid traits, however, this still would not make it a modern human as Melba has implied.

Another thing is, she has not given any deviance timeline for the unknown hominid, which should have clear genetic markers which tells us it's placement in the evolutionary tree, all live forms on earth has this embedded in it's DNA.

We all would like to have an answer to this Sasquatch mystery, but it must be the correct answer and right now, Melba's findings do not add up correctly. Take the Liger for an instant, it is not a 100% Tiger nor is it a 100% Lion. It is seen as a 100% Panthera, with both Tiger and Lion traits.

Looking forward to seeing the paper that started, and lead the way in Sasquatch DNA research. Its seems to have given Sykes some interest anyways?

    1. What happens to this paper? The three most realistic possible outcomes are:

      1. (Least Likely) No journal publishes her paper. Dr. Ketchum decides to post a summary of her "results" on facebook and says that mainstream scientists blackballed her out of being published anywhere respectable.

      2. (Moderately likely) Her journal passes "peer review" or whatever constitutes peer review at one of Igor Burtsev's sketchy Russian crypto-journals. The scientific mainstream will ignore it as quack pseudo-science.

      3. (Most Likely) Dr. Ketchum's paper is accepted for publication at a major journal, such as Science or Nature. Her findings regarding sasquatch DNA, as well as their telepathic powers RE: mindspeak, mind rape, moving objects just by thinking about them, and their ability to emit Electro magnetic pulse burts, cause a worldwide awakening as biologists and anthropologists throughout the globe struggle to comprehend what the existence of sasquatch means for both the scientific community and military industrial complex, as the Pentagon seeks to harness the mental psychokinetic powers of the sasquatch for military gain.

  12. The problem could be in her scientific writing, not in the raw research. In other words, to get a paper published, you might have to produce some science to support the science that you have found.

When you write a term paper, you have to produce other research, and write well. If it is sloppy, then it won't get published. It is not enough for her to identify hominid DNA, she has to write about all of the science involved and write a thorough, professional paper.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good point. It may be that the reviewers and editors are actually leading her through the rewrite to produce something they feel comfortable with. That would slow down the process considerably.

    2. 11:29 Would it be enough to find something new: human dna with previously unseens variations in some genes? Publish that, with little to know speculation on why; i.e interpret the data later.

12:06 How long do you think the reviewers would do that? 1 semester and an intersession break, tops. Maybe something like that went on with collaborators or advisors who she brought in after it got started...

  13. I don't have any problem about identifying bigfoot DNA. Reading report and process to identify DNA will made difference. This is just a matter of objectivity and proceeding. My problem is more about hybridization and newborn specie around 15000 years ago. Cannot buy it.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We'll know soon enough. 15.000 years is actually enough time for this to have happened, would also explain well some of the no bones questioning I think, a new smart species taking care of itself knowing full well it's in constant danger from enemy species and must survive the best it can largely in hiding. This smartness is still in their genes, from the US to the Caucasus say.

      Delete
    2. I don't deny the fact that BF can be smarter than any other great ape, using a form of "language" and live on basic social rules but some of these behaviors can be observed in some others species living in group like bee, wolves, gorillas and ants (that said with all the nuances required). My guess about the problem analyzing BF behaviors may comes from the fact that we see him more human than he can be and this prevents to see for what it really is: a beast, an animal. This don't means go after and shoot him. It's a very special animal with seemingly human behavior but still an animal. We often wonder: why do we not find bones or remains ? Have you ever thought that BF could be cannibal ? Seeing him as nearly human, it is difficult to consider it as such.

About hybridization, we have to consider that one of the parents was already bigfoot or something close to it. A giganto or some other unknown great ape ? Perhaps, but not easier to demonstrate. In anyway, considering this fact, what impact would this have on mixing one offspring, maybe two ? Would have had to do this hybridization of dozens of people to observe a change, not only from one or two individuals. Moreover, even assuming some contacts with homo sapiens, how is it that Bigfoot has apparently not learned to make tools or use fire? Sapiens could effectively defend against bigfoot and I do not see how it could venture to remove a "female" sapiens, or even reverse. An orphan ? Perhaps but it stay speculative. Anyway, the offspring would have mated with another bigfoot? and for what result ? Another bigfoot with a little bit more brain ? We now entering in the Planet of Apes myth.

My opinion about Bigfoot is that it is an animal from a common ancestor between apes and Homo sapiens, who had the ability to move up, but also retained some characteristics of primates and for which the fossil making this connection, has not yet been found. For this, we don't talk about thousand of years but hundreds of thousands.

Regarding DNA samples dated of 15,000 years, I do not know how they did it and I hope to read the report because I believe DNA can be dated only from a sample that has already been dated. This dating is done only from bones that have preserved traces of DNA that have been dated. So, from where do come these samples and comparison specimen which they belong?

You're right we'll know soon, but the debate remains open.
