  1. I saw one but it was short, even shorter than a person.

I believe but I think all this talk of 7 ft tall Bigfoots is a bunch of hyperbole.

    1. I don't think so. The adults are likely over 7 feet tall on average.

    2. Well, they obviously come in varying heights depending on the age of the creature.

    3. John Green's database shows sizes from 3 foot to an average 7 foot. Then a sliding scale though slightly skewed down to 14 foot.

    4. I really think this nothing but a bunch of CRAP!!! Even an idiot can understand that things are hoaxed daily. Costumes, pictures, film etc... is what we have come to know as "Let's see if we can fool people & get away with it. Just like all of the Elvis sightings - a massive load many people have come to believe in. Come on folk, wake up to reality. How come over the past, say 100 years, no one has ever found a body, a skull, a dead one anywhere in the world? If you can not get a grip on life & see between the line, you are a bigger JACKxxx than most people. When I can officially see a skull, torso or better yet, one in captivity, that is when I will make an apology to the public for my ignorance!

      Delete
    3. Uh expenses? Its his hobby, his interest, nobody is forcing him. You pretend that he's doing some sort of charity work. He should stand back, he.could've continued to have been a well respected man. Now he's just part of the fly by night craze. Its disappointing at the very minimum.

    4. I find it highly amusing yet very "double minded" of most everyone posting negative comments on here about Meldrum. Any of you would gladly take money for items/works that you have completed (Wood working, painting, come to mind) yet you want to bash this man for doin the same.

No where did I read that Meldrum is demanding we send him money or the MIB will show up at our door step tonight. Further, I think it would be cool to own a replica of an alleged Sasquatch print. No different than collecting diecast cars in Nascar, or buying baseball/football cards.

If Meldrum makes a little cash to further his research; or if he uses the cash to go to Hawaii---great for him. You know what you are getting when you send in your money, a replica sasquatch footprint with his autograph. Whats wrong with that? I think its cool.

    3. Are you donating to his research? Good for him. It's the USA not a communist country! I myself would love to own one. Why do people get bent out of shape when someone in this country tries to make a living. He spends a lot of money out of his pocket to bring more credibility out so people like u can come on sites like this and make comments. How about you go work for nothing? See how long u would like it. University pay doesn't cover his additional research

      Delete
    4. He is a tenured professor; they rarely retire till very old age-its not HS where they teach 5 classes a day. Also, money for research comes from grants, not public fundraisers. It is probably hard to get research money to investigate this topic, though.

    6. Anon 12:20, there is a difference between honest business and charlatanism. I suppose you wound also have us believe that Allison DuBois is a businesswoman and that her victims deserve to be swindled because they are stupid enough to fall for it? DuBois and Meldrum are both parasites who prey upon the weak minded, and a parasite and a capitalist are not the same thing.

      Delete
    7. Meldrum A parasite? Get real? And you know him how? Better back up your claims! Your making a character opinion! He brings more credibility to the subject. He's not preying on anyone and holding a gun to their head to buy! Get over it. How is he not honest? Name a factual account that he was not honest?

    9. Back up my claims? His actions back up my claims. He is trying to make money by selling junk to a bunch of red necks who are too stupid to figure out that Bigfoot is just a joke, therefore he is a parasite who exploits idiots.
The properties of apes are known to science, they eat, shit, mate, die, damage their environment, have bones, are visible to the naked eye, and a sustainable population of them cannot exist in north America and go undetected. Meldrum knows all this, but if he told his followers then he wouldn't get to charge $50 for a plaster cast. So no he isn't honest.

      Delete
    10. @anon 2:09
As an obvious closet bleever it sounds like you've been burned before, is that why you're so concerned about other people being duped like you have?

Red necks ? you ain't kidding. Take a look at JREF footer's AlaskaBushPilots' latest picture. It looks like that skank hasn't brushed his teeth in 5 f'n years.

      Delete
    11. No actually, the reason I'm “concerned” is that I spent thousands of dollars getting a masters in zoology, so when people treat my science like their whore it pisses me off. Biology is not psychology, it will not cater to special interest groups. No matter how hard you believers try to get it to say something that isn't true you will never succeed.

      Delete
    12. So now you're pretending to have a master degree in Zoology ?

Only an under achieving simpleton with alot of time on his hands would be obssesing about how a mythical creature affects his alleged science.

      Delete
    13. You don't have to believe that I have an education, your comprehension of my motives is irrelevant, but my argument still stands.

And no, a mythical creature cannot affect biology, but a group of moronic zealots can. If that wasn’t the case Richard Dawkins wouldn't bother arguing against creationists.

      Delete
    14. He obviously interested on Bigfoot if he spends so much time on a Bigfoot evidence page. Lol! I cant believe this guy. Oh it doesn't exist and Meldrum is a parasite wha wha wha! Then go on your zoology site and stop wasting your time here unless your just filled with hate . If people like Bigfoot and want to buy something so what ! Go find Something else productive in your field !

      Delete
    15. 2:09,3:42; Thats really harsh. He may cater to the hobbyists a bit, but how can you be so sure what he actually thinks? Also, you don't think its possible that there may be an exceedingly small population, say 150, and that the few real sightings gave rise to all the nonsense? If a legend can cause all this, why not a small population?

      Delete
    16. Anon 3:57
No, I don't think that an extremely small population is feasible. It might seem feasible, superficial, because it doesn't break the laws of physics or chemistry but that isn't the way populations work in the real world. My ecology teacher talked about this when we discussed the concept of population stability and how predictable it is. 150 Organisms could comprise a population for a little while, but ultimately it can't stay at such a low number. It will either slip into extinction or climb back up to the carrying capacity of the environment. Also with 150 the lack of genetic material would be crippling. Look at what's happening to the cheetahs if you want to see the effects of a small gene pool.

    17. @Anon 3:53

If you're really a Zoologist (which you're obviously not) I bet you're an unemployed one and anyone can see why.

But have you considered gathering a group of your pretend colleagues to march on Washington in protest of how Bigfoot is negatively affecting Biology ?

      Delete
    18. Dude, I don't think you understand the terminology. Not everyone who graduates with an economics degree is an economist. Similarly not everyone with a zoology degree is a zoologist. My zoology teacher was a zoologist, she had a PhD and studied animals as part of her job. I am not a zoologist, I have a degree.

      Delete
    19. So the march on Washington isn't a consideration ?

      Delete
    20. Anon 4:13. Thank you for answering my question. I threw that number out there because it was the low end(150-250) of the population estimate given in the cross river ape article posted here a few months ago.

    21. March on Washington? What the fuck does Washington have to do with you guys trying to screw with biology?

      Delete
    22. @ Anon 3:53

Why complain about Meldrum ruining biology on an obscure Bigfoot blog ?

Why not man up and take your closet bleeving ass to Idaho State University and complain to the staff there that one of their professors is ruining the world of biology as you know it or better yet contact Meldrum personally and while you're at it show him your credentials ?

      Delete
    23. I think he should march on Washington.

      Delete
    24. It's not ruining biology! Give me a break! Sounds like a disgruntled zoologist . Yeah what's this guy so bent out of shape with us? Complain to everyone but the one he's complaining about!

      Delete
    25. And what the fuck would that accomplish? Do you not understand how biology works? Do you actually think that people with biology degrees carry credentials around? Are you 12? Because you seem to think that people who don't like other peoples theories should run to their bosses and tattle on them. That’s not the way biology works. If I don't like what he says the thing to do is to argue against his theory, to point out its flaws, to decry him.

      Delete
    26. @ Anon 5:31
It was obvious you were a fraud...lol

Although I don't agree with any of his theories at least Meldrum is who he says he is.

      Delete
    27. Anon 5:27
I didn't claim that a bunch of hicks out in the woods searching for an eight foot ape is “ruining biology”. You're attacking a straw man. My claim is that you guys are trying to prove something to be true that simply isn't true. You have no credible evidence, just like Meldrum's theory is not based on any fact. He started at his conclusion and worked backwards.

    31. Anon 5:48 You have " I love to argue syndrome" I guess your the one who walks into a bar and starts a fight with everyone because your so ticked off everybody else is having a good time! Your not here for debate your just here to pick easy targets. I happen to be out in the field a lot. What do you mean no evidence? Thousands of sightings over many years, film, photographs, millions of acres of wilderness, poop, hair , blood, spit, saliva, ect. How come so many people from every walk of life including wildlife specialists, forest service people , law enforcement , and just common folk all describe almost exact features? There is nothing in my state that craps a pop can size scat we find by hot spots here. Ok mr biologist what animal has a pop size colon in the great lakes region? Can't fake that! We even bring it in to the DNR and they say nothing here can produce it. Dnr also took casts here. I've been out at night in areas that are miles from any people and have had close encounters! Guess what I never told anyone I was going so they couldn't hoax! Tracks in areas that where almost impossible to get to and places no barefoot person should be! If someone was trying to hoax why the heck would they head out 2 miles into a lowland and the near zero chance they would find it and before it wilted away. Unless you have spent tons of hours in the field you have no reason to say it doesn't exist !

Trolls are merely operating against a discovery, they've made up their minds there's no such thing as Bigfoot because it makes them sleep better.

  8. You know people spend tons of money out of their own pocket to do research because skeptics keep universities from writing grant money for research . So people have to do something to raise some money to cover costs. Do all people who write books sell out because they earn money from their work? Heck no. It's called making a living doing something u like! There wouldn't be all these nice sites and research being done if only they relied on their own money. It barely costs u anything to site and make cheap shots every day. How do you think any research gets done? Bartering? This is the US. Yes since it's the US you can make cheap shots even if you never left you living room in Manhatten . So unless your going to Donate for his travel, research, and time don't get all out of whack. Heck Since it is the USA nobody is forcing you to purchase it! I myself will buy one because it's cool, Supports a great cause, and I like to go out myself and research.

  17. Some of you folks need to show a bit more respect to Dr. Meldrum. He is one of the few educated researchers who has remained open minded about the subject of sasquatch. He has willingly taken professional criticism from other intellectuals because he believes (in my opinion, correctly I might add) that the evidence points more toward the existence of sasquatch than against it. I also think that Dr. Meldrum is objective when it comes to stating when evidence looks to be more hoaxed than plausible.

There are fishermen who buy shark jaws and hunters who buy moose heads. Why not bigfoot casts for bigfoot enthusiasts? I'd rather have a cast endorsed by Meldrum than by one of the many serial hoaxers out there.

  18. Guys, how is this man "selling out" anyone? There is absolutely nothing wrong with a person wanting to send in money to purchase a replica print with Meldrums signature on it. This man has worked/studied Sasquatch for several years and I assume most of his work has been self funded. If you do the math, Meldrum isn't really making much money by sending out replica prints. In my opinion, this is being done more so for the Sasquatch enthusiasts rather than for Meldrum's wallet.

After considering the materials purchased and labor hours spent by Meldrum reproducing, packing and mailing this casts, he is probably "going in the hole."

I use to collect Dale Earnhardt merchandise. I once paid $20.00 for a Dale Earnhardt coffee mug. (Without anyone's signature) Call me a fool, but I really like Nascar and Dale was my man. I gladly paid for the mug and his people made some money in the process. Whats wrong with that? I say nothing. Many, many people enjoy the subject of Sasquatch and Bigfoot like I enjoy football and Nascar.

Just like J.G. Wentworth says, "Its your money, spend it when you want to." (and how you want to IMO)

  21. As for the Discovery film, how can a live speciman be a missing link? If it exists concurrently with us then it was not in our evolutionary lineage. Meldrum is between a rock and a hard place. He stuck his neck out because he saw something years ago that made him sit up and take notice. It convinced him of the possibility of a real animal. For that he took and is still taking a lot of shit. He tried to play it close to his vest. As more and more bigfoot players became aware of his knowledge he was brought into the limelight. If he's going to be there he has to go for it and try to prove this thing or become another closet nutcase.
