How long does it take them to edit one episode of Destination Truth?

Brad Kuhlman is the Executive Producer of Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot and SyFy channel's Destination Truth. While we wait for the premiere of Finding Bigfoot to air in October, we often wonder how long it takes them to edit one episode.

According to Brad Kuhlman it takes 10 weeks to edit an episode of Destination Truth. We can assume it takes Finding Bigfoot just as long.

On August 17, Matt Moneymaker tweeted about being in a helicopter circling the Bald Hill area near Bluff Creek. Now that we know a little more about the season premiere, it's possible they were filming this area for the 2 hour special planned for October. Word on the street says the premier will be titled "FINDING BIGFOOT: BIRTH OF A LEGEND". The episode takes us back to the old Patterson-Gimlin site where the famous footage of Bigfoot was filmed.

The actual premiere date is conflicting however. The October date is actually pretty close to the 10 week editing timeline for a show like this and we're confident about the October schedule. But one thing we don't know for sure is the actual date of the premiere. We've heard October 15th, but the latest press release says October 30th. Which one is it Animal Planet?

The latest press release published last Friday (Sept. 23) said this about the premiere:

FINDING BIGFOOT: BIRTH OF A LEGEND

World Premiere Sunday, October 30 at 9 PM (ET/PT)

Just in time for Halloween, Animal Planet plants its viewers deep within the dark forests of Northern California with a two-hour FINDING BIGFOOT special, “Birth of a Legend.” Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) investigators hone in on the most infamous and disputed piece of Bigfoot evidence ever – the Patterson-Gimlin footage. Captured more than 50 years ago, the footage has been the center of the Bigfoot debate and has driven conspiracy theorists and Sasquatch enthusiasts on a quest to prove the creature’s existence. Now, the BFRO researchers take Animal Planet cameras to the site where the footage was captured and scout out new sites where the best and most convincing Bigfoot footprints have been reported.
