A shopper bought this strange looking yam traditionally used for medicine in the Quanzhou, Fujian Province in China. The yam is known as the Shanyao root and practitioners say it's good for the kidneys.

The tallest man in America is a Minnesota resident from the Ukraine named Igor Vovkivinskiy. As a result of an overactive pituitary gland, his height is 7' 8" at 29 years old.

After finding the back half of a hog in the Florida swamp a few days ago, the Seminole Project (Tim Fasano's team) is now claiming that they're close to tracking down the elusive Skunk ape. A few trail camera's have been set up near the Green Swamp area and they are pretty certain that the ape will appear in one of the photographs some day.

Bigfoot Evidence contributor  Damian Bravo , while browsing YouTube looking for funny cat videos, inadvertently stumbled onto a Russian video filmed by outdoorsmen hiking around the countryside. Damian didn't pay too much attention to the video until the hikers started showing tracks in the snow. The title of the video is in Russian and after putting the text through Google Translate , it gave this confusing translation: "Bigfoot is a fact or a joke".

SuperSoylent2, the guy Melissa Hovey filed a copyright violation claim against on YouTube uploaded a new video today about the Ancient Aliens Bigfoot episode that aired on the H2 channel last week. His sock dog does a pretty good job mocking some of the different theories some ancient astronaut theorists believe about Bigfoot and aliens.

Watch this amazing video of the Papu tribe in New Guinea seeing "white men" for the first time. The YouTube description says it was filmed in 1976 and shows genuine reactions of fear, intrigue, and joy. This film reminds us that there are still tribes out there in the world with little to no outside contact. The reactions are amazing to watch in this video. It proves how fragile and bonded humanity really is and strikes hope and joy into our hearts.

As any scientist can tell you, the cornerstone of maintaining the quality of scientific papers is the peer review system. This process ensures that the information in any scientific publication is verifiable and meets quality standard. Papers that are submitted to scientific journals are reviewed anonymously by experts in the field. The paper either gets approved, rejected or sent back to the editor, with recommendations for improvements. Most papers require some degree of modification before publication.

Florida Skunk Ape hunter, Tim Fasano has been involved in a new project called the Seminole Projec t . They've been setting up trail-cams and are very successful at picking up images of wild life in the swamp. During a hike, Fasano and team member, Kevin found the back half of a hog that appeared to be twisted in half. Fasano suggested to Kevin that Bigfoots are known to twist their prey in half (He heard this from Matt Moneymaker).

No, we didn't make this up: A Seattle heating specialist and a customer in Mount Rainier is claiming that they had a strange a encounter with Sasquatch. According to the story, they said the thing looked like "a huge hairy ape" and it made these weird "almost human-like" sounds. What makes this story even weirder is the part where the Sasquatch handed them a picnic basket before running off.

Humans are the only living mammal to walk to two feet. Photo above is the partial foot of a 3.4-million-year-old hominin from eastern Africa that was published in this week's Nature Journal Online . The fossil hints that more than one hominin species may have existed between three and four million years ago, each with its own way of moving around.

Java Bob is putting in question none other than Dr. Melba Ketchum’s Bigfoot DNA study and has made some very wild accusations. He claims he has the documents to prove it.

Back in September 2011, a YouTube user named irvinyork , recorded this audio of a haunting sound while camping outside Conway, NH. It was recorded by the Saco River using a pocket recorder. This person does not believe in Bigfoot but posted the audio in hopes that someone can help identify the call. "I have brought this to members of the New Hampshire forestry service and none could identify the animal in this recording," wrote irvinyo r.

With the popularity of the Finding Bigfoot show skyrocketing and expecting to increase even more this June when season 3 airs, the number of reported sightings will certainly increase as well. In recent months, there have been many Bigfoot sightings reports where witnesses have made reference to the Finding Bigfoot show on Animal Planet, suggesting more people are feeling more comfortable coming forward with stories.

Matilda the sleeping sasquatch (From Erickson Project: Sasquatch the Quest documentary) The Los Angeles Times published a really good article about Bigfoot in the media. Rather than tell us there's no such thing as Bigfoot, the article acknowledges the rich history and lore surrounding the Bigfoot legend. "Campfire stories, eyewitness reports and grainy videos have kept the legend alive for decades in the U.S. and worldwide. (The mythology goes back much further if you take cave drawings into account.)" The article quotes a number of prominent Bigfoot researchers like Dr. Jeff Meldrum and Cliff Barackman. Dr. Meldrum is apparently working on an "expanded" version of "Legend Meets Science", which in our opinion is probably one of the best Bigfoot documentaries ever produced. I had a long debate recently with a friend of mine in Atlanta who is a Professor of Anthropology (We both were in MANY of the same Anthro classes in College). We started the conversation about Bigfoot being sighted in Georgia and the episode of Finding Bigfoot that showcased our home state. We both agreed, having both spent many a year camping in the areas scouted, that the idea of Bigfoot in Georgia was a farce. I want to just iterate that growing up in georgia, there were never reports of Bigfoots anywhere in the 70's or 80's when we were kids. There just weren't.

Bama has been watching SnowWalkerPrime's videos on YouTube and he's pretty impressed with TeamTazerBigfoot. In many sightings of Sasquatch we hear descriptions of glowing eyes, most commonly red glowing eyes. In the last article (How Sasquatch May Be Primal & Feral Yet Intelligent) I wrote about how Sasquatch could possibly be a mutation that occurred sometime in the evolutionary tree of hominids. Many of Sasquatch’s physical attributes have been spoken of as super human and unbelievable. Now let’s take a look at the eye shine many say they have seen in their sightings, but we will take a look at it from a biological and scientific point of view.

Recently I've observed an emerging similarity of the Bigfoot community's rising group of proclaimed experts to some of the established elite in science academics. There is an increasing number of individuals coming to the forefront as authorities on Bigfoot by researching the internet and having little or no field investigative experience. This is similar in many ways to what critics portray as the scientist who becomes an expert in his/her field of study without ever leaving the hallowed halls of the university library.

On the morning of Friday, February 24th, National Park Service law enforcement rangers entered the base camp of a BFRO expedition near the Buffalo National River in Arkansas and issued a citation to organizer Matt Pruitt. Pruitt was cited for "conducting a business operation" in the park without a permit. He admitted on his blog on Sunday that he was wrong for assuming he had all the necessary information related to the usage rules and regulations of the park. "I was wrong, and I paid for that mistake," he wrote. When the story broke about Pruitt's citation, BFRO president, Matt Moneymaker responded and issued some statements regarding the February event. Although he cleared up some questions concerning the rules and regulations of national parks, there were still lingering questions about the accuracy of the original report by Chief Ranger, Karen L Bradford.

We love it when the community comes together to show their support, especially for a critically acclaimed Bigfoot film. After launching the KickStarter Project  in hopes to get funding for the  "Letters From the Big Man" home video distribution project, director-writer, Christopher Munch will have a lot to be thankful for next month (April 1st at 8:12PM EST, -- this is when the project will receive its funding from money pledged by backers).

Florida Skunkape hunter, Tim Fasano, is now part of the Seminole Project and has been setting up trail cameras in the Florida swamps. Since his involvement in the project, he has been receiving comments on his YouTube channel about his research methods. One commenter suggested that Bigfoots can see infrared and will try to avoid trail cameras that emit infrared light. They say its ability to see infrared light is why it's rare to capture a Bigfoot on a trail camera. Fasano disagrees with this notion and uploaded the video below telling those people to support him or stay off his YouTube channel. "Ignorance has reached pandemic levels in the Bigfoot world. Support me or stay off my site," Fasano wrote.

On February 24th, BFRO expedition organizer Matt Pruitt was cited in Arkansas for not having a special use permit for camping in a developed campground in the Buffalo Reserve. The report was submitted by Chief Ranger, Karen L Bradford and she stated the following:

Two brothers, Brent and Sean like to talk about everything paranormal. Brent claims that he has been a Bigfoot and is convinced that the creatures exists. Sean, on the other hand, insists Bigfoot is just a guy in a Gillie suit and is tired of reading on blogs about Bigfoot tree-twists and wood-knocking.

This latest video posted on Facebook Find Bigfoot by Jack Demosthenes Barnes is about some kids freaking out in the dark about a glowing eyeshine in the distance. The FB/FB guy says he has no idea how how this could be faked.

A lot of times when you talk to someone and they swear about what they saw, it's difficult to judge whether or not they're telling you the truth. We've heard stories about bear hunters and fishermen and their encounters with Bigfoot, but how can you tell the difference between what's true and what's not when you finally meet them in person?

Early last year, Les Stroud was interviewed on KZOZ by radio hosts Jeff and Jeremy about a Bigfoot encounter he had while filming an episode of  Survivorman . During the interview, Les Stroud mentioned he had two possible encounters with Bigfoot, but due to time constraints, he only told the first story. Shortly after the show aired, Les Stroud's interview was posted on Facebook Find Bigfoot where it was heard by countless Bigfoot enthusiasts who visited the site.

Big Foot Bear: The bear photo above was posted on PNW Bigfoot's Facebook page. The photograph notes that bears could produce "Bigfoot" like tracks in then snow. When the temperature rises and falls, the snow changes the shape of the tracks and can be mistaken pretty easily for a Bigfoot: "Foot looks like in snow it could produce what one would assume was a BF track."

Thank goodness it's Friday again. Since the season Gold Rush Alaska ended, we haven't had much to look forward to on Friday nights-- until today. Tonight at 9 PM Central on the H2 History Channel, a new episode of Ancient Aliens will be airing about aliens and Bigfoot. This episode is only available on the H2 Channel though, so you might want to check your TV guide to see if you have the channel.

Last month, on February 24th, BFRO expedition leader Matt Pruitt was cited for "engaging in a business without a permit or written agreement" by running a Bigfoot hunting expedition at the Buffalo National River in AR. According to the report from the National Park Service (U.S. Department of the Interior), 30 participants had paid between $300 to $500 each to be lead on a 3-day expedition. If you're wondering about the prices, the BFRO charges "newbies" the higher rate of $500 bucks.

Loren recently received word on Facebook that the 2008 Georgia Bigfoot Hoaxer and self-proclaimed "Best Bigfoot Tracker In The World" is planning a trip to Loren Coleman's International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

A few days ago, a purported cell phone footage of a Sasquatch from somewhere in the Pacific Northwest was uploaded to YouTube by a user named designperfxion . According to designperfxion’s description of the footage: "I was startled by a noise then saw this step out from behind a tree. I stumbled for my cell phone camera & took this video as it was walking away from me."
