Deadly Virus Outbreak In California's Yosemite National Park
Tents at Yosemite Park's Curry Village. |
Yosemite Bigfoot Researchers: It's probably a good idea to stay away from the Signature Tent Cabins in Curry Village right now. California state health departments have confirmed that multiple people have been diagnosed with a rare but serious disease called the Hantavirus (formerly Korean hemorrahgic fever).
The National Park Service (NPS) announced that there were 3 confirmed cases and 1 probable case of Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) in visitors who stayed at Curry Village in Yosemite National Park since June of this year. Public health officials believe that these visitors may have been exposed to Hantavirus while staying at the Signature Tent Cabins in Curry Village. Two people have died.
According to Gizmodo.com, these are the symptoms:
First, the symptoms seem like influenza mixed with gastrointestinal problems: "fever, chills, sweaty palms, diarrhea, malaise, headaches, nausea, abdominal and back pain, respiratory problems such as the ones." These start "three to seven days and arise about two to three weeks after exposure."
After that it goes to hell, with a phase that includes tachycardia (abnormally rapid heart rate) and tachypnea (abnormally rapid breathing). Then patients "will develop difficulty breathing, coughing and shortness of breath." At this point, the patient could enter into the "cardiopulmonary phase, where cardiovascular shock can occur, and hospitalization of the patient is required."

Did Bigfoot cause this?
ReplyDeleteCall me a sceptic, but I would say no :)
DeleteAh, the good old theres a virus in this area stay out approach. Why can't they think of something new?
ReplyDeleteIt might be bacterial, and could come from stuff inside the tents/cabins. I'm sure they will do the research to discover what is going on inside the cabins and the park area around the cabins.
DeleteYosemite NP also has the highest number of people who have gone missing under strange circumstances. Some crazy shit happens in national forests!
ReplyDeleteoccasionally
DeleteIsnt that the plague?
ReplyDeleteyersinia pestis is the plague.
DeleteSounds like something out of a zombie horror flick. Poor people.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's from all the Bigfoot orgies in the cabins.
ReplyDeleteYou know, from all the bodily fluids being ejected everywhere.
Trying to connect this to bigfoot.
ReplyDeleteIf squatches are in fact closely related to humans, do you think we can transmit illnesses to them and vice versa? Do apes and monkeys share illnesses with us?
Just AIDS.
DeleteYou opened that can of worms...so yeah HIV would be the big one. lol
DeleteDon't tell Rictor :)
DeleteThose poor people. They suffocated to death. That is one horrible viral illness, and does it become bacterial after starting as a virus? I'm calling my local expert to ask about this stuff: my hubby, who is a Pathologist. This illness scares me. We enjoy camping and visiting state parks, and this illness is a terrible thing to have to even consider needing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteSimple solution, stay out of the woods. :)
DeleteIt comes from the fecal matter of rodents. When you sweep up an old cabin, barn, tent, etc. the dried rodent poo gets airborne and you breath it in. Hence the pulmonary infection. Nasty stuff sho' nuff
DeleteMichaela, I would not be surprised if BF and humans could share viral and bacterial illnesses. I believe that they are close enough to us to share the same traits when it comes to becoming ill from stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo bigfoot spread AIDS? Man, that's some sore assholes or vaginas kicking about.
DeleteNo, gays spread AIDS. Bigfoot are too busy not existing.
DeleteHow dare you! Bigfoots exist!
DeleteIN your imagination!
DeleteGod damn koreans! trying to kill us with their filth.
ReplyDeleteI got the clap from a yeti once.
ReplyDeleteThat's nothing. I got a standing ovation from your mom!
