Finding Sea Monsters is What The New Deadliest Catch Spin-off Special Is About
The Hillstrands Hunt for a Sea Monster
Bigfoot isn't the only monster known to be lurking near Alaska. Witnesses recently caught on film a prehistoric sea animal long thought to be extinct. The Discovery Channel has a new special that's going to start airing called "Alaskan Monster Hunt". Featuring Deadliest Catch's the Hillstrand brothers, it's probably going to be an action packed adventure. The special will premiere Tuesday, July 19, at 10 p.m. after a new episode of Deadliest Catch.

Two of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch captains are trading crab fishing for a different kind of prey: Sea monsters. Brothers Johnathan Hillstrand and Andy Hillstrand have signed on to star in the special Alaskan Monster Hunt, which airs next month.
Alaskan Monster Hunt will follow the Hillstrand brothers as they search for clues to the mystery of Alaska's own version of the Loch Ness Monster. The brothers — normally the captains of the Time Bandit, as seen on Deadliest Catch — travel to sea after viewing footage of an unusually shaped eel-like creature dipping in and out of the water.
Cameras will follow the Hillstrands as they hunt the sea monster, which cryptozoologist Dr. Paul LeBlond of the University of British Columbia says could be a prehistoric sea animal long thought to be extinct.
