Sightings of Bigfoot in USA based on information from the BFRO Geographical Database of Bigfoot/Sasquatch Sightings and Reports. This map is about two years old, but still depicts a pretty accurate map of sightings and reports in the different states throughout North America.
Below is a density map of reported Bigfoot sightings the History Channel had put together for one of their TV shows:

You know, it seems like the NE should have just as many sightings as other heavily wooded and wet areas. It seems hard to believe they aren't seen in the Dakotas, except perhaps with a smaller population, there are less people to happen upon them, but if BF is traveling and spreading out over the US, he should be cutting through the Dakotas at some point.
ReplyDeleteThe NE was nearly clear-cut in colonial times. What you see today is mostly re-forested farmland, with a fairly high population density even in wooded areas.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I can't believe even a Bigfoot would want to live in Ohio.
I live in South Dakota and I hear about more reports then are listed on any Bigfoot page that I can find.
ReplyDeleteThe Missouri River has TONS of heavily forested areas and not much population in most parts.
The Black Hills and the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
This area is very conservative and most people who do see something will not report it for fear of being ridiculed.
