Swamp Dweller shares these true and scary stories of cryptid encounters. All of these stories come from incidents that took place in State Parks. The kind millions of people go to every year.

  1. I would have never had believed these stories but Swamp Dweller says these are TRUE cryptid encounters so it must be so. Sure glad he doesn't share fake cryptid encounters.

  2. Just read where Dr. John A. Bindernagel passed away today. I don't know much more than that but thought some here would like to know.

    2. Bindernagel passed on the 17th. Hopefully Joe F. will stay off this blog and not assert his arrogance at this time.

The generation of creators who put Bigfoot on the map are now looking down in shame at the Bigfoot role-players who, an ocean away, make a mockery of US lore.

    4. "When we talk about the Sasquatch as just another North American mammal, you know I always think of my work doing wildlife surveys, & especially mammal surveys, where we are able to determine the presence of a mammal in an area on the basis of its tracks. Mammals are not like birds, they're not so easily seen. They're elusive, they're often nocturnal so we look for sign. We look for tracks, we look for scat, we look for feeding sign. On the basis of bear tracks we say, "yes there are black bears in this area or grizzly bears", and this is [in my opinion] the same with the Sasquatch."
      - John Bindernagle, PhD

I’m sorry, your comment was riddled with narcissism & typical shortfalls in shifting burdens. For example, in eight years, and in over a thousand references to John Bindernagle’s work, you have never even delivered one logical case against to support your cyber-vomit piles. Nor have you offered one case to substantiate your theories about “role-players”. You would have people believe that for thousands of years, there has been a culture hopping secret society of gorilla suit wearing role-players, all out to gain. These role-players, spanning different cultures, and through finding each other's customs undesirable, have managed to role-play up the same creature with non-human primate features, when they didn't even know what one looked like, and have in fact managed to cheat experts with fake morphological traits that span decades and continents!
"Bleevers" live in such a fantasy world, eh?

“American trolls wrap themselves in the American flag like nobody I've seen. They consider themselves patriots as far as the Constitution goes. There's a sense that if we can, we should. That's still the narrative of America. Trolls are taking [a] much-lauded American ideal and turning it into this grotesque satire of itself.”

    13. John Bindernagel was Canadian (Cringe)... He’d also be able to appreciate anyone, regardless of their heritage, celebrating the oral histories of a people who for 14,000 years have Sasq’ets at their cultural core. Oral histories that have been shown to manifest in physical evidence, documented in North America or the past 60 years.

    14. Canada is part of North America (cringe) you dummy, ikdummy.

    15. American: a native or inhabitant of North America or South America

One of several definitions of "American". Educate yourself, ikdummy. MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY

      Delete
    16. You didn’t generalise him as being a North American. People the world over refer to people from the US as “American”. Even people from Canada. In fact, I can find a quote from a well known Canadian researcher who refers to Bill Miller as an “American colleague”. Would you like that, Stuey? Shall we bunch this one with “humans aren’t apes”, and “wild bears roam in the UK”?

      American
      əˈmɛrɪk(ə)n/Submit
      adjective
      1. relating to or characteristic of the United States or its inhabitants.
"the election of a new American president"
      noun
      1. a native or citizen of the United States.
      2. the English language as it is used in the United States; American English.

      **** me, you’re dumb.

    17. "American" was generalizing, you idiot. Specifying North wouldn't be "generalizing" then, ikdummy. Educate yourself, ikdummy. Calling Bindernagel American was MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY dictionary definition #2. Deal with it. I determine the context and usage of my own words, not ikdummy.

MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY... 1 : an American Indian of North America or South America
*************2 : a native or inhabitant of North America or South America**********
      3 : a native or inhabitant of the U.S. : a U.S. citizen

    18. NOT according to the Oxford Dictionary!

Ooooh, so angry... And Nargh! You simply need to learn the basics about the people you’re trying to disrespect on their passing. On layman's terms, people the world over refer to people from the US as Americans.

      What a dumbo.

      : )

    19. You lose, ikdumbo, Oxford also has a definition that fits my usage:

      https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/american

1.1 Relating to the continents of America.

    20. Oh I “lost” : (

Nargh! You simply need to learn the basics about the people you’re trying to disrespect. It’s just one little example of tooooooooo many to list, where you initiate an exchange about a topic you know nothing about. On layman's terms, people the world over refer to people from the US as Americans.

      What a dumbo.

    21. So Canada is no longer part of the Americas? Is this the "basics" you preach?

Sure, they do ikdummy, they also refer to people in the new world as Americans. It's contextual. Oxford doesn't put definitions in the dictionary to be ignored. I'll go by Oxford's acceptance of words over ikdummy's. No offence, your royal nincompoop.

    23. LOL Bigfoot would be accepted as real today if ikdummy had just known American geography better. It all hinged on whether Canada was located on an American continent. It all was dependent on Bindernagel's nationality. Who knew that Canada was at the crux of declaring those 10,000 giant apeman real?

    24. Canada is in North America. Hope you are writing this down, ikdummy.

Meanwhile 10,000, 10 foot tall hairy 800 lb men are hiding in American woods. The US is also in North America, ikdummy, BTW.

      Oh dear.

Sorry Stuey, I don’t have that type of ability, must be a glitch. Here it is again for you... Now that you know that Binderz is Canadian, come and see me today and I’ll go through the basics of his research with you. Maybe you can dip into your vast wisdom and use it to conjure at least one logical case for your obsessive time spent?

    27. Q. Why do U.S citizens call themselves Americans even though their country is the U.S and the correct way to say it is unitedstatesians?
      A. We were called Americans by the British before we became the United States of America. The name goes back to our roots. People from other countries call us Americans also preferring the shorter moniker. Once we became an independent nation called the United States of American we were faced with a quandary. What do we call ourselves? Calling ourselves United Statesions was a clumsy mouthful so we continued to use our original name, Americans.

      http://bigthink.com/articles/why-do-people-from-the-usa-call-themselves-americans

... I could have gone on, and on, and on, and on. Odd that someone from the United States, should make such a profound error with his heritage, eh Stuey?
