Man In Ohio Claims To Have Shot A Bigfoot

From The Confessionals podcast with host Tony Merkel comes an amazing interview with a man who claims to have shot a bigfoot while Turkey hunting.

Brian lives in southern Ohio near the West Virginia border where he has seen the creature known as Bigfoot on several occasions. On his third encounter, Brian's experience was not a pleasant one when he found himself in a dangerous situation. He was calling for turkeys while hunting and instead of a bringing in a turkey he gets a bigfoot that was not happy to see him. Faced with a decision to make, Brian knew it was going to be either him or this giant creature that was going to die. So, he raised his gun and fired.

    1. People don't generally have proof of seeing any number of recognised dangerous creatures, when in situations where they've needed to ensure they've extracted themselves safely.

For people who aren't afraid of the idea, tens of thousands of reports from people whose word would not be questioned on any other subject, as well as physical evidence that is found to be repeatable across continents, footage, audio, thermal... A body is only as far away as it is to arrange a consorted expedition.

The expedition to source a body is where? We never got around to extracting an answer from you yesterday...

    11. Good point MMC.And even if you caught one how would you ever feed a bigfoot? You'd need big giant spoons that won't even be invented for another 100 years. The whole thing is impossible. It might be 500 years before we iron out all the logistics and technology to catch a bigfoot, and even then another 100 years to implement it. We're talking 600 years minimum and that's not even factoring in the evasive skills bigfoot will develop in that time. It could be 1000 years before we catch a bigfoot.

Unfortunately, the design for the boot remains confidential and has not been shared with the general public. Sadly, this amazing hiking boot is not available for use by bigfoot hunters!

    17. That is unfortunate. Researchers are very proprietary. The explorers that contacted every single Indian tribe in the US, and those that captured grizzly, Kodiak, black, and polar bears, never released the patent on their footwear, which was designed for rugged outdoor use.

As luck would have it, Bigfoot are more social and intelligent than Indians and faster and stronger than bears, especially 10 ft tall, 1500 lb Kodiak bears, so Bigfoot can never be captured until footwear and gun technology are a match for a creature most acknowledge doesn't exist.

You know, that adult level stuff that couldn't be the case if "Bigfoot" didn't exist? 28. Um, no Stuart. Wakey, wakey. If you remember, you've been educated too many times to count on how every tribe has these creatures at their cultural core.

If a modern hunting rifle is repeatedly referenced as not being sufficient in taking one of these hominins down... Then bows & arrows, muskets, the first rifled muskets, and so forth along the evolution of more primitive weaponry to this point, isn't gonna do anything different. With the amount of crazy people who are happy to kill beautiful animals in the US, it's pretty obvious that some percentage of those people wouldn't think twice, given the millions it would mean to bag one... Kathy Moskowitz Strain

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this article is to examine the association of prehistoric pictographs with contemporary stories told by the Tule River Indians about Hairy Man. Located on the Tule River Indian Reservation, the Painted Rock Pictographs are approximately 1000 years old. According to members of the tribe, the pictographs depict how various animals, including Hairy Man, created People. Other stories tell why Hairy Man lives in the mountains, steals food, and still occupies parts of the reservation. Since the Tule River Indians equate Hairy Man to Bigfoot, the pictograph and stories are valuable to our understanding of the modern idea of a hair-covered giant.

And that's just one example of so many. I could comfortably publish an example every comment for the next few hours. As beautiful as elephants & lions are (cough, cough) they have never been on the American continent (oh dear lord, he did think beards roamed wild in the UK after all), and whilst bears are solitary... None have the intelligence of a hominin that evades in social groups. The sheer frequency of physical evidence that supports thousands of anecdotes attests to this.

      Delete
    33. Joergy is delusional and ignorant as always. He has no grasp of what the outdoors are like nor what hunting is like. You profess thousands of encounters of bigfoot from forestry workers, hunters, and law enofrcement? Show me those thousands. You can't. There are a few databases on the net that total a few hundred in total, and of those less than half are from any of the afore mentioned groups. And of course, making a report is anonymous and anyone can make one at any time they wish.

And isn't it convenient that every time one of these creatures is supposedly shot that absolutely NO biological evidence is gathered? And when it does, it "mysterioulsy vanishes". A flesh and blood creature, when shot with any caliber rifle, save possibly a BB or pellet gun, will leave spore at the scene. This is fact. Shoot a grizzly or polar bear with a 22 LR, you will find some hair, and some blood. Maybe not much, but some. Not to mention that a 22LR will easily kill both species of bear placed properly. It may take longer, but it will do the job.

A turkey hunter, regardless of caliber or choke, or shell lenth would absolutely leave plenty of blood and other spore on the site of any shooting of a large game animal, including one that supposedly is 1000lbs.

Lets play devils advocate and say this did happen. In todays world, everyone (even those who have never heard of bigfoot) would know what such a body or evidence of one would be worth. They may be scared to go back to the scene. But with one click of the mouse or one phone call, many people could be brought together to go back to the scene. And try as hard as a bigfoot might, it would not be able to cover up every sign of spoor. Blood would be at the scene and would be collected. And likely hair would be too, even with shotgun pellets.

Also, if the creature was any closer than 15 yards, any turkey hunter would be able to tell you the damage such a load will do to any animal large or small at that range. The pellets don't have time to expand and remain in a tight cluster. Upon impact on a large animal it does MAJOR surface damage. Often blowing out large chunks of skin. And a shotgun at under 10 yards fired at a man size target would blow a hole roughly the size of a softball through a creature using normal turkey loads. These are facts!

It always amazes me how non outdoorsman, non hunters, and foreigners will comment about hunting, or after the fact biological evidence of such a shooting. They have no idea what a shooting scene is like nor of what is truly left behind in its wake. In today's world people would ABSOLUTELY go back to the scene of the shooting and get evidence. It WOULD be there to collect as well. No bigfeet will have disposed of it. Such evidence would then be turned over, likely to bigfoot groups such as Moneymakers, who would pay top dollar for it, if they thought it was real. Such a thing would probably command many thousands of dollars if not more.

Yet each and every time a shooting is reported we always have people saying, "i was too scared to go back", or "i was afraid to go to jail", or "the gunshot didn't seem to effect it at all", etc. All those excuses, used time and time and time again. And yet footers still believe them. Its sad really. Joergy, you are beyond helping. Just as you think there is 1 troll on this site. You are pathetic and a sad little man who dreams about muslims raping his wife.

... Um, yes I can. There are three databases of reports, the BFRO, John Green's and the Track Record. Add to that the man thousands of people who are too afraid to come forward out of ridicule, as well as the thousands of years Native American and First Nation's people have had this hominins in their cultures... Do the math Stuey, I think thousands of encounters is being rather modest. Also, making a BFRO report isn't logical for hoaxers. There is absolutely nothing to gain for the time it takes to file a report.

Stuart... How many instances can you list where one of these creatures has been shot?

"They may be scared to go back to the scene. But with one click of the mouse or one phone call, many people could be brought together to go back to the scene."
... Agreed, but aren't we forgetting something Stuart? "Bigfoot" are not solitary animals. They are highly social like all primates. So even if a hunter WERE to take one down and get away without big brother coming along, I very much doubt a wild human is gonna go fishing & let his kin sit around with a bullet in its head? "No Bigfeet would have disposed of it"... Is this attributing a type of specific behaviour to a creature you don't even acknowledge to exist? Is that logic, dear Stuey?

So I'll ask you again, Stuart... How many instances can you list where one of these creatures has been shot? You've shot a couple of turkeys... I don't think that really qualifies you as a "big bad hunter" now, does it Stuey?

It's the need for extraordinary evidence, without the extraordinary effort to source one... When someone actually looks, then all the pea brains who want to be rhetorical about it can sing it from the rooftops. Private individuals can raise money for expeditions. The US isn't the UK.

    79. Yeah bigfoot would be more dangerous than 1500 pound bears, mountain lions, and packs of wolves? People that believe in bigfoot go camping and they're not scared, at least of bigfoot. So, the US gov is hiding bigfoot knowledge and thereby putting citizens in danger because bigfoot could pop campers heads off?

    85. I'd say there are zero instances of bigfoot being shot because there are zero bigfoots that exist.

Or maybe there are countless packs of enraged bigfoots teeming the forests in pursuit of thousands of hunters who have shot bigfoots!!! Yeah, that's it! Ha ha ha!

    86. Hey Stuey, if bigfoots do not exist as you claim why do you waste your time on this site ?

    87. Stuey at 11:50... So why have you had an utter meltdown on this very comment section about, "every time a Bigfoot is shot"? You seem to be in a bit of a mess there? While you're running around contradicting yourself and failing at anything coherent... Remember that you still havent managed to explain away any level of evidence for American hominins.

Joe has a good point... One can only assume that you're nowhere near satisfied with how you're getting on with debunking his subject, and need to come back time and time again to try and attain some level of satisfaction... You're not doing a very good job at convincing people, Stuey.

    94. Hey Stuey... I'll just refer you to my previous comments up top. Sorry it appears to have caused you just a meltdown that you need to repeat yourself. Also... I know you like to project, in this instance because you didn't enjoy being asked about what "Mars Tech" would be needed (creased), but you've missed the boat again. How much money it would cost at this point is irrelevant, if the government wanted something badly enough, there is not limit. But when nobody is willing to even plan an expedition to foresee the expense, then it's another futile stance (you're good at these). The cart before the horse. How much did it cost to find the Bili Ape? Use a little imagination, dear boy.

Ideas & research evolves... And after speaking with many people who you could only dream of having the social capacity be to approach, I've merely come to the conclusion that the government can't admit to something they can't put in a cage. There is no cover up, because they know as much as we do. But the subsequent repercussions of the potential classification of a wild hominin on the country's economy is not fantasy, and is something that would have to be considered if one were to be captured. For example...
"National Park Visitation Generated $32 Billion for National Economy in 2015. WASHINGTON – National park visitation generated $32 billion for the U.S. economy and supported nearly 300,000 jobs in 2015, according to the National Park Service's annual report on the effect of park visitors' spending released today."
      https://www.npca.org/articles/1195-national-park-visitation-generated-32-billion-for-national-economy-in-2015

And yes Stuey... A group of hominins that can think like humans would be far more dangerous than 1500 pound bears that are solitary, mountain lions, and packs of wolves that don't like guns. Just look at what we as humans have done to those animals you listed... Now consider humans twice, maybe three times the size of us that know their environment ten times better... And think what they could do to us. We're not the apex predator in their environment Stuey.

iktomi says gov not in on it...
      So, Joe is wrong?

The gov says they don't believe in it and the gov is irrelevant as far as private citizens organizing and funding an expedition. US is not the UK.
Answer your own question. How much was the bili ape expedition? You ask because you think it relevant.
You keep going on about gov...
You conclude with bears, m.lions, and wolves don't like guns..implying bigfoot like guns? Humans are not apex predators in bear, m. Lion or wolf environments either unless humans have guns. Bigfoot can't get shot?

Leave gov out of it. US is not the UK. How much to privately fund an expedition to capture a bigfoot body?

Don't hide behind anecdotal tales and faked prints all your life.

    104. I'm sorry Stue... I couldn't understand that. What I could understand is answered as follows. No, "Bigfoot" do not appear to be scared of guns. The innumerable bluff charges and hunters being flat out chased out of the woods attests to this. A human with a hunting rifle IS the apex, only until someone three times the size and in social groups comes along. "Bigfoot" can be shot at, plenty of missing hunters remember.

I'm really trying my best to understand your comment about "gov"... Maybe you should drink yourself back to sleep? You might even dream up a hoaxing method to explain away evidence that transcends continents while you're at it?

      Delete
    105. I give up, ikdummy. Bigfoot is impossible to capture because they can bluff charge and are not afraid of guns. No amount of money can change capture one. Gov as an abbreviation for government is impossible to understand. You win.

    107. Stue... That's all I can say, is take a long look at this comment section. All your attempts at worming have been covered. If you're too dense to understand it, get an adult to help.

When an adequately funded, adequately resourced expedition occurs to source a "Bigfoot" or a body, & fails... Then you're little angle would apply.

      That simple.

      Delete
    108. You are correct, that is all you can say:

No amount of financial and human resources coalesced by private individuals could ever apprehend a single bigfoot because bigfoot bluff charge and are not afraid of guns.

Since you realize bigfoot is imaginary, it's 100% necessary to stick to faked footprints and anecdotal tales to keep the hoax alive. Reality just gets in the way.

    109. Sure Joerg, take a look at the number of comments you've deleted and you'll plainly see that I'm in your head so deeply that you're nervously self-editing your own inane ramblings! Ha ha ha!

Hey Stuey, stop talking to yourself a second and let's try this then... Can you name one organised, consorted effort from any known government group to harvest a "Bigfoot"?

IktomiFriday, August 18, 2017 at 1:09:00 PM PDT
Precisely!! How do you know that one couldn't be bagged with all your space age tech, if such an expedition hasn't occurred? That's unless you're gonna tell me one HAS occurred under the radar? So... In the meantime, the matter of bagging a hominin is down to the average hunter who on a collective level, come in contact with these hominins a lot and report how aggressive hey can be, how they refuse to shoot something so human looking, or how they do open fire and they move too quickly. And we have a lot of missing hunters. Hopefully this time I've helped you see how futile your drivel is... Now maybe we can get down to what would really substantiate your stance, the actual evidence?
      http://bigfootevidence.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/ghostly-passengers-at-thailand-airport.html?m=0

"Nervously self-editing"?? (Cringe) Stuey... You'd need to show me footprints are fakes and anecdotes are hoaxes, first ma boy. You're only gonna get angrier with this stuff Stuey. I'm not the one "giving up" only to return soon after... I'm in your head boio.
