Photo Of The Wales Cryptid The Barmouth River Monster Surfaces
Is the photo above the first real photograph of the Wales cryptid known as the Barmouth Monster? The Beast of Barmouth, as it is often called, has been sighted and reported for decades. Now a sighting in the River Aeron has resulted in a possible photo of the beast.
The Barmouth Monster made headlines back in 1975 when an unidentified creature was reportedly seen on Barmouth beach by a group of school kids and a policeman. Now some believe a recent photo of an unidentified monster like figure in River Aeron may be the return of the mysterious cryptid. Reports and sightings of the Beast of Barmouth or the Barmouth Monster have been documented for decades. Some of the reports of the creature describe it as being large and crocodile like. Could the image taken by Llanarth pensioner Mohammad Tahla be the first ever Beast of Barmouth photo?
The 1975 Barmouth Monster sighting report described the creature as having a long neck and square face with the black patchy skin along with a long tail with a flipper at the end. The River Aeron is approx 60 miles from the these previously reported sightings so it would mean the elusive sea creature has migrated south. The witness told the Cambrian News “I took one look and thought: ‘Blimey, that looks just like the Loch Ness Monster’.” He says they he returned to the river a couple of days later, but the creature had gone. So could this possibly be a Barmouth Monster picture or perhaps just a floating log or even an outright hoax?
