Man Has Arm Bitten Off By Sasquatch

When people think about bigfoot, often times they picture a large, gentle giant of the forest. Like Harry from Harry and the Hendersons. Some think of Patty. gracefully striding across the sand bar at Bluff Creek. Others let their imaginations run wild, and see a large hulking beast with glowing eyes. But does anyone ever imagine a bigfoot biting a man's arm clean off?! This story originated from Sasquatch Chronicles with Wes Germer and a man named John Sweet. I have to admit, this story is a little tough to swallow. See what I did there?

No, as we know, there is in fact plenty of scientific sources of evidence that point to an as of yet very large unclassified bipedal primate leaving it's sign on the environment of the US. What we don't have is a specimen.

    1. But with that critical approach comes a burden of explaining away thousands of years of contemporary and cultural anecdotes that are supported by physical forensic evidence, biological evidence, audio & video evidence, as well as 150 years of science journals that have documented very large human skeletal remains.

Your story appears to end with that burden.

      Delete
    2. What burden?

Stories are stories and there is zero biological evidence.

You put a lot of words down but everytime it proves nothing. Run along now and get on with your life.

      Delete
    3. If you had met your burden, the world would have blown up with the news that Bigfoot exists. Instead you're arguing with turd guy on a two bit entertainment blog.

    4. Your burden...

Stories that transmit into eyewitness reports in the tens of thousands, that are accompanied with forensic & biological evidence (hair fibres verified by different camps of primatologists), leave you with the burden of demonstrating they are not what they are. If you cannot do this, but instead insist their is no evidence for Sasquatch, then you are left with explaining what other very large unclassified bipedal primate leaving it's sign on the environment of the US?

My burden is to present evidence, and your daily prayers don't get around to wishing it all away I'm afraid.

    8. Well to put your little angle into perspective... The "world being unaware" of the scientific evidence doesn't get around to explaining it away... And considering not even enough enthusiasts know about it, then this is why I'm happy to use archetype ignorants like you around her daily in getting the message across.

      Oh... And Sykes is coming.

      Delete
    12. Has it? Well maybe you can reference what consorted professional effort by primatologists has occurred in the US during the past 50 years to establish this then?

What I'll have fun with, is referencing the evidence to which has largely been accumulated by amateur researchers, and leave you in perspective as to what might be achieved with a research effort akin to what was aforementioned.

      Delete
    13. If your evidence was worth anything, the world would be all over it. The world isn't. I'd say you've failed your burden of proof.

      Delete
    14. If my evidence is "not worth anything", then this is a your burden to demonstrate how... My burden is then a little bit closer to being lifted, son.... That's how this works.

The world would be all over proof, I don't claim to have that, only the evidence for a bipedal primate residing in the wilderness of the US... But we both know what that means, right?

    19. I'm with you 9:16. I find the psychological aspects of Bigfoot belief the most interesting at this stage of my interest. I seldom post here however I do drop by as time provides and had to comment on your post. I was once a believer (many years ago) now I'm skeptical however the field still holds interest for me.

      Delete
    20. 9:16... That link I provided was for the likes of you, at least you have a genuine psychological diagnosis out of the two of us, right?

Curious... Sorry to call out your cringey efforts at condescending others, again, but people like me have no reason to invest mere belief when there is evidence to be convinced by.

      Delete
    21. You seem to have a pattern of taking little info and making large leaping conclusions as demonstrated both by your conclusions about bigfoot and your conclusions about my "psychological diagnosis".

      Delete
    22. Well sorry to voice my opinion.

Believe what you want to believe that's your privilege. I was once there with you but now it's my belief that Bigfoot does not exist. In spite of the evidence you cite I just cannot reconcile myself to why a creature as big as Bigfoot is supposed to be has not been proven by now. Even you have to admit this field does have it's share of crazies and I have to say that is what now interests me the most. I will say this site has become pretty juvenile but every now and then there is some interesting discussion. I'm not here to convince anyone but simply to observe human nature when it comes to belief in Bigfoot.

      Delete
    23. 9:46... That would be a bold statement considering I have yet to reference the sources of evidence, how would you know if it is "little" or profound? Don't you think that a little ironic, not to mention slightly hypocritical, considering the little leap you've made about it in naivety... That's a major indication of the way you might think, along with your failed attempts at condescending me. Anyone would think you suffer from a little superiority complex?

Curious... You know I like you, I mean no offence. Someone who has invested as much time into this topic as you have should probably receive a little more respect from people like me... For that I apologise.

We have had many exchanges over this and for me the answer remains the same; for something as large as this we have a level of evidence, and if this creature does exist (and in my opinion it most certainly does), then it would naturally have to have evaded classification for hundreds of years... So what is 50 without a major consorted professional effort at getting to the bottom of this "mystery"?

    25. The Bigfoot enigma continues to interest me even if I have grave doubts concerning it's existence. I don't raise my eyebrows if someone professes a belief in it being real but I have to admit the talk of dimensional portals and telepathic ability does cause me to roll my eyes. I have no animosity towards anyone but simply disagree with some conclusions so you won't get any "turds" from me. It simply fascinates me to listen some of the stories and to hear the eyewitnesses recount what they seen (or thought they seen).

Yes lktomi I especially remember our debate about "giants". You didn't convince me however it was fun to discuss. I'll continue to monitor this site (as well as others) for any new developments. I'm especially interested to see what Dr. Sykes produces.

    27. it is healthy to have doubts but also to be open that there may be a real creature out there. I agree some of the talk can get a little out there and while I can understand someone's doubts I also can't ignore the fact that not every witness can be lying or was mistaken and that is where the mystery comes in. The debate will continue until a body is brought in and examined and there can be no doubt but for a lot of us believers we still have faith despite the lack of body.
Before bigfoot became such a huge cultural phenomenon people didn't know what to call it so giants, wild men, forest creatures , wendigos etc would have been used instead of what we familiarly call them

    1. Here's an interesting legend:

Two-face is a malevolent humanoid monster of the Plains Indian tribes. In some cases Two-Faces are described as ogres, but most often the Two-Face resembles a human except for having a second face on the back side of his/her head. If people make eye contact with this second face, they will either be struck dead or paralyzed with fear until the Two-Face returns to murder them. In some traditions there is only one Two-Face , while other traditions suggest a whole race of Two-Faces. The misdeeds of Two-Face range from murdering and mutilating people, to cannibalism, to kidnapping or even just frightening misbehaving children. In some Sioux legends, Double Face Woman is to blame for childhood fits and night terrors.

    3. This is interesting;

"Red-Woman is an ogress from Crow folklore. Although she is sometimes identified as a cannibal, in many legends, she is a malevolent monster who kills just for the sake of killing, sometimes mutilating her victims in horrible ways. In some stories she used witchcraft to hypnotize people or affect their minds."

      ... This appears to be similar to the Basket Lady (Ogress);

"The Basket Ogress is a marauding giant common to the folklore of many Northwest Coast tribes. She catches humans, especially naughty or careless children, and carries them off in her enormous pack basket to eat them in her lair. Luckily she is rather dim-witted and her prey usually manages to escape."

Both rather ugly, hairy, smelly, aggressive and howls at the moon does, but Melba is dangerous while bigfoot runs in fear of her. Because of Melba and her appetit, David Paulides was able to write his Missing 411.
