Woman Photographs Mountain Lion On Porch After It Slaughters Her Animals

Texas Cryptid Hunter shared a report of a woman claiming that a mountain lion has killed several of her chickens and a pot bellied pig at her home in central Texas. A place where mountain lions aren't supposed to exist. Not only are they apparently there, but she has the photos to prove it.

“We live in Bremond, Texas. This cat was on our back porch last night and killed 14 chickens and one of our mini pot bellied pigs from 4:30pm to 6:00pm... we left at 4:30, pig and chickens were fine, came back home about 6:00 and chickens were dead everywhere and pig was tore up in the flank. Then this cat was on our back porch."

The woman was also able to get a photograph of one the cat's tracks, show below.

    1. Well, if you define bigfoot properly as something misidentified, imagined or fabricated to be a large, hairy apeman-like mythic creature, then we have plenty of photos of bigfoot.

    2. Are you talking "blobsquatches"? If so, there are plenty. DS knows something about those types.

... Nothing blobby here. When myths turn into physical sign, you have an awkward reality to try and explain away... I won't hold my breath.

      Delete
    4. Most people don't find it awkward- simply not compelling.

      Delete
    5. "Compelling" to anyone with a brain, would be something like forensic sign of something that's supposed to be a myth.

Sorry it didn't work out for you.

      Delete
    6. Plenty of intelligent people don't find it compelling, Joe. I'm sorry that this doesn't "work out" for your worldview. That includes plenty of scientists, amongst people of all walks of life- indeed the vast majority.

      Delete
    7. Ask your "plenty of scientists... Everything they accept as scientific fact is exactly that by a select few of qualified people (peer review process). You can be the most intelligent person in the world, if you haven't looked at the evidence, not to mention present a reason not to consider it, then things probably aren't working out as best as you would have hoped for.

      Delete
    8. There are plenty of people in Biology, Zoology and related fields who know a decent amount about the evidence, or I should say the lack of it. Do you realize how many universities there are in America that are relatively near supposed Sasquatch habitat? Many of these scientists are in the field studying wildlife to begin with. Shouldn't they be finding the compelling evidence that believer's do?

    9. It's a shame that for those aformentioned fields, that none would account for the field of forensics, that would be the required profession in having a qualified opinion on the physical evidence. Oh, and it's funny you should mention Universties. Some of the most comprehensive in being affiliated with this field are the likes of Colin Groves of Australian National University, Chris Loether of Idaho Sate University, Pocatello, Jeffrey McNeely Chief Scientist IUCN - World Conservation Union, Lyn MilesUniversity of Tennessee, Anna Nekaris Oxford Brooks University Oxford, Esteban Sarmiento, Human Evolution Foundation, East Brunswick and Zhoua Guoxing, Beijing Museum of Natural History Beijing.

Oh... And who's to say your feild biologists don't?

    13. These field professionals would certainly see clues as to what an eight foot, eight hundred pound animal would do to the environment. No forensics needed to look at few hairs or whatever in this case. As been said, they can capture evidence and photographs of much smaller endangered animals but not such a huge animal?

It's all well and good that you have a handful of academics in your corner. That is a drop in the bucket to those who would have a negative opinion. Besides, it's not hard to find a handful of academics that will lend credence to other scientific questionable ideas.

So you are saying field biologists may be getting evidence but are hiding it? they are afraid? Is the Government pressuring them? Forget Meldrum, the people who actually discovers an unknown primate will reap unmeasurable rewards.

      Delete
    14. to much money involed for the Goverment to recognize that bigfoots are out there!
Park Rangers seem to take bigfoot reports and then it just goes away!
one report by two campers were driven out of camp by a group of bigfoots! they called the Park Ranger Station and they wanted the GPS location where it took place! After given the information to the Rangers, they then called back a few days latter and the Ranger Station said the issue was closed!!!

      Delete
    15. "These field professionals"... Does this mean that you would trust the credentials of one whom was an adviser to the UN? What 800lb "animal" does to the environment, we in fact have in physical, forensically verified evidence. Hairs? Would Dr Paul Fuerst of Ohio State University & the Oregon Regional Primate Research Centre do it for you? The hairs were collected by forest rangers at a sighting where tracks were accumulated too. Dr Frank Poirier, chairman of the Ohio State's department of anthropology confirms this. Plenty of photos and footage of Sasquatch, would you like some?

Questionable or pioneering? Or in your case, not so qualified?? Nobody said about anyone hiding anything, and those who help to uncover an unknown primate most certainly will.

    16. Those one sided anecdotal reports don't do much for me. Maybe it will for those needing reassurance.

    18. 3:10... Anecdotes that are supported with accompanying physical evidence, is what does it for me... Forget reassurance when you have the confidence in facts.

    20. Whether it be an 800 pound animal or "person", it's going to leave evidence that is observable without need for a CSI style investigation. If that exists also, cool, but don't make Sasquatch out to be super ninjas. Sorry Joe, I've seen the photos and videos. They don't convince me or the majority of non believers. I'm sorry but they just don't. It's not personal.

      Delete
    21. It's not that this "person" doesn't... It's just that some people require to dismiss the consistent scientific method of acquiring track impressions (suddenly contradict themselves by denying the same methods they a minute before celebrated). So, the next natural step is to use more reliable science to verify that source as authentic.

I don't make Sasquatch out to be ninjas. But considering chimps have fewer motor neurons, each neuron triggers a higher number of muscle fibers and using a muscle becomes more of an all-or-nothing proposition. As a result, chimps often end up using more muscle than they need, but they can in theory lift about 16 people over their own head... Imagine what a primate three times the size of a chimp could achieve? Think how quicky that could evade?

Well that link to a paper I linked up top has at it's focus a source of footage that shows organic tissue in comparitive photogpraphs, I suggest you give that a whirl, and please sir... I never for one second would have taken anything personal.

Goodnight, I'll return to answer any comments in the morning.

    26. Early human ancestors and most other mammals' brains are wired with straightforward circuits that pick up information from the surrounding environment through the senses and relays that information to motor neurons so the body can move and respond to the surrounding environments. Sasquatch's terrain requires them to be able to negotiate it with ease to survive. Sasquatch can't do things like this like thread needles, but you don't need to have a different chromosome count, merely more or less motor neurons.

Oh! And 5:47 didn't know humans were primates.
