Check Out This Book Review of "Sasquatch Tool Use"

Daniel Dover writes: "Here is a book review on "Sasquatch Tool Use" by David Claerr. He found evidence of sasquatches chipping away flint to make cutting tools and stone hand axes. Bones that were split open to reach the marrow showed impact points matching the edge of a crafted "hand axe." Other squatch made tools were also discovered. The book also speculates on sasquatch being a species of man, citing DNA findings."

    1. Breaking open bones to reach the marrow has been observed many times with deer kills. They seem to favor the liver, the hind quarters, and the marrow inside of bones.

If this is true, that some flake off stone to make a tool to assist in extracting bone marrow that places their intelligence with primitive man.

    2. Many nutrients in bone marrow as with livers. Sometimes they just want the vitamins and nothing more.
It is interesting in Albert Ostman's account of his six days with a family. He said he had never seen them eat any meat, however a lot of sweet roots which they offered him and he ate them also. Mike had emailed a couple months back about evidence David had found on his ranch of tool making. I would suspect they witnessed Native Americans over the past centuries doing this first.

    3. I'm interested on what was found on Mike's property in Texas.

I agree that is where such activity was likely first learned and then passed down among their kind. Some learned behaviors are likely regional though, as are resources for making such tools, and it's probably more prevalent among certain groups.

I read of evidence of them using a broken bottle to cut hair off. Glass would be the next likely progression if any of them had previously used the glass like obsidian stone to cut with.

    11. Whoa - that sounds like some scary stuff Mike! I hope you don't mind me being informal and calling you by your first name, I just feel like we are friends now. No more comedy jokes - let's move on to building a closer relationship. I'm a bigfoot novice - perhaps you can enlighten me and turn me away from the dark side of skepticism. It sounds to me like you may have a special relationship with them . . . the bigfoot I mean. So are they flesh and blood? Paranormal? Are there lots of them? Spill the beans Mike - I'm all ears. I'm betting you have some great stuff to share! Thanks hombre!

    12. :). I'm paranormal. They are quite flesh and blood, after all, the paranormal don't require tools do they? At least from my experience, I discount no others that see "other things". You know what. I think I'm quite done with the jokes too. Look. Between you and I ...ummm, it is. Scary I mean. As scary as the thought of exchanging personal pertinent information on a Bigfoot Blog in the Comments Section. Sadly despite MMGs cryptic warnings I have pledged to go into the field for six months with the FP. Despite my fun time here I do take the Subject matter quite seriously. Dover had a much deeper history than even I was aware, for example. If I had time to cultivate relationships that started here, for example, I would begin by limiting my true involvement in such an exchange until the fall. When I could give it my undivided attention. Suffice to say I'm willing to take the willing. Oh and I don't mind researching with others either. You let me know if you've "changed skins" or merely "changed pens".

    14. So your a flesh and blood man - good, we have a starting point. My take is that if it breaths, walks, eats and defecates it can be caught. Now despite my skepticism (does it show?) I'm interested in the subject. I'm also interested in which side of the court you are on so to speak. Are you protective of them and are satisfied with your knowledge they exist or are you ready to prove to the world they are real? Honestly, wouldn't you love to shut up us skeptics? I mean one body and BOOM we are done, eating crow and begging forgiveness (well, some of us anyway). It sounds like you may have them on your property in Texas - yes? You do realize that anyone who brings in a bigfoot is going to be very, very, very rich if he plays his cards right. I may be talking to a future millionaire who knows?

Sorry for so many question - remember I'm a bigfoot novice. I'm trying to cram. Thanks hombre - buddies for life!

    15. :). Let's assume I'm all for proving the species. Let's assume money is always an issue, it's not the issue. I'm much more skeptical than you might imagine. I don't have a problem with skeptics. Eric Collier was a skeptic. So was my nephew. If you spend a liitle time with me that too shall pass. That leaves what though? I've been down this hole of discussion before. I wouldn't be going out with FP if I wasn't serious enough about proving them.

And let's further assume that I'm very close to high fence ranchers with armed 24 hour security patrols. They are quite used to me and the ococainsional bad girl I rescue from the dangers of the winery. But they grow quite leery of strangers and especially ones bearing arms. Look. I'm all for a catchy way to catch their DNA. But I couldn't shoot one in the head. Sadly, I'm not yet certain I can say the same about all of our modern cousins. Besides. 21. Ahhh- I'm just having a little fun Mike. I'm a lover not a killer. Besides a live bigfoot would bring in a much higher bounty. Since I do not believe in bigfoot any humanoid figure that I would set my sights on would have to be a human (modern day) and spending what's left of my life in a penitentiary for murder is not what I want for my golden years. Frankly I surprised some damn fool hasn't pulled the trigger on some unsuspecting hiker thinking it WAS a bigfoot. I'm fascinated by you believers and that is why I come here (and for of course the humor). I am going to buy that book and I will report back once I've read it.

Now I'm going to get serious for a moment (just a moment) and tell you this. If I DID believe in bigfoot and I DID believe they lived in a certain area and I COULD get fairly close to them as you have insinuated and they WERE flesh and blood - I would stop at nothing - NOTHING to prove it and gain fame and fortune. Surely you realize the gold mine that is at your finger tips if what you say is true?? Hell- why not invite the Falcon Project to come down there. Spotting one in that terrain has to be easier than a dense forest. I will be anxious to see pictures of the terrain once I get that book.

Your a strange cat Mike but I like you. I realize we got off to a bad start but believe it or not I hope you or others prove bigfoot exists and rub my nose in it. I enjoy talking with you and others here but I still on the unbelievers side of the court.

But I think the record is clear from books written and those yet to press and publish that I have no problem taking people out to the ranch. And you say you'll stop at nothing? Well. I hope you don't. I would love to see someone find them. I'm going to watch Better Call Saul and rest. I have a small rodeo after-party headache. Do take care. M

    26. 9:23... Next time you've got a day time bear at the wood line, go and get us some "conclusive evidence" of the encounter. Now... You might be able to accomplish that considering how experienced I am lead to believe you are (if you are HG). However, this is not true of a significant amount of the population who are not experienced in such a manner. Now... Consider hypothetically that this is indeed the case with you, that you are bot experienced with wild animals and are naturally very cautious, next time you've unexpectedly got something growling at you from tree height in the middle of the night, throwing rocks at you in the middle of the woods, go and fetch us some "conclusive evidence".

I hope that articulates how idealist someone suggesting someone else goes get the evidence is. To some around here, the existence of this creature is not even a question. Knowing what they can do to a normal human, equally as realistic.

      Delete
    27. Hi Joe and thanks for your commentary. I'm taking a few minutes away from work to check in. Interesting that you "know" what they can do to a human. So your headed to Texas one of these days - what's YOUR plan to prove they exist. Wouldn't it be great if you could prove to all of us ignorant skeptics they exist? Wouldn't it be sweet satisfaction to have all of us skeptics acknowledge you were right all along? You guys bring in a body - dead or alive and WHAM - we have no argument or ground to stand on. Your a smart guy - what's your plan? This may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I have some suggestions but let's hear yours first. Let's talk brother. Well, back to work . . .

By the way - who is HG? Seriously - whose initials are those?

      Delete
    28. ^^^Just to chime regarding your comment bringing in a body a live one or dead body, I would think/assume most of us on the fence or totally skeptic believers would settle for a clear photo(s) and or a good quality video of this species(Sasquatch) existence at this point, would you agree...........

      Delete
    29. I'm afraid I do not. With advances in video technology even the best video or high quality picture would be questioned. With a body - live or dead, there would be absolutely no questioning it's authenticity. All this talk and bravado of "knowing" where they are and their habits but not even a clear picture. After all this time with hundreds of video/still pictures of dark and shadowy figures the time for pictures has passed. As I stated in the post above - just ONE body and the debate is over.

    32. 10:46... "HG" is in reference to " Hunter Guy"... A really knowledgeable guy who posted around here about two months back. Was hoping he'd post more often but I see similarities in your comments. Though footage is and has been good enough for me, I agree that in this day and age, people naturally "use" angles of the most unrealistic, expensive Hollywood techniques in trying to explain them away. Footage holds no promise for proof; however a necessary cog in the wheel of evidence no less. We also have people coming forward with claims like this;

      http://bigfootevidence.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/watch-interview-with-retired-forest.html

      http://bigfootevidence.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/watch-this-retired-forest-ranger.html

With regards to a body. I think I put this into context with my comment above. It's not as simple as shooting one and dragging it out of there, though I'm sure people have indeed come close over time. It's also a matter of either wanting to kill one also... This would not be a policy for Mike and I know sure as heck that it wouldn't be mine... This is therefore a grey area with regards to what would constitute proof and how would we go about it. I really wouldn't like to make some rather major claims to be going to get proof either, I think research at any level would suffice and is what is most important here. And how do I know what they can do to a human? Think about it for a moment... Think what a chimpanzee can do to a human, now what something ten times the size could.

      What's your ideas?

      Delete
    33. Okay - first of all I'm not Hunter Guy although I read the posts and what he wrote made sense to me especially about using dogs. I'm also done with the references to Mike Brookreson comedy genius stuff - it ran it's course and I'm now bored with it and told Mike so. As you can read in the posts above I'm probably even beyond claiming to be a skeptic, I now flat out do not believe it exists. So I'm a tough crowd to convince. I think we can both agree on this - what is presented as evidence is not proof of it's existence. It may certainly be evidence in the eyes of some but is not conclusive proof. Let's review:

Witnesses: Not conclusive. People make mistakes, People lie. Some just like attention.

Video/Pictures: Not conclusive. Video and pictures have and can be faked. Technological advances and savvy hoaxers can manipulate visuals.

Footprints: Disputed. Dermal ridges have been seriously questioned. Footprints can be made and hoaxed.

Hair: Disputed. To my knowledge nothing conclusive and without question has come from what is offered as sasquatch hair.

      Scat: Disputed. Same as above.

DNA: Inconclusive and disputed. Everyone had high hopes for Ketchum and Sykes study. In the end everyone was disappointed. Even among some of the most avid supporters.

So you have this evidence and yet we are no further along then we were since the PGF in proving to the world it exists. I hope we can agree we need a body live or dead. Even though I joked above I agree with you guys about not shooting one. Since I do not believe they exist, I am more afraid of a mistaken shooting of a vagrant, hiker, hoaxer or someone just out for a stroll enjoying nature. I am also not for the unnecessary killing of anything. But we do need that body.

Now Mike interests me and I hope he will read this post in that he seems to infer he knows the area where some dwell and is familiar with their habits. You seem to be convinced he is on the level. From what I can surmise this seems to be somewhere in central Texas? I am curious about the terrain down there so I plan to order that book and hopefully there will be some pictures of the area. If you ever do make it to that area and confirm what Mike says without proof than most will simply say it was a case of preaching to the choir. In others words you were disposed to believe in the first place and would not be objective with your findings. So - we all know you need a body for final proof.

What's my idea? I'm glad you asked. You and Mike both agree on it being a flesh and blood creature. Mike infers that he is aware of what it eats, tangerines being one of them. Why not try a sedative mixed into the food and then have trailing dogs and posse pursue. Sure there is a danger of overdose but that is a chance one has to take for proof and would not constitute an outright killing. I understand the logistics however if I was convinced it exists I sure would spare no expense and that it why I cannot understand why Mike is not being more aggressive in pursuing them. We are literally talking a payout of millions of dollars. Hunter guy was correct in his assessment of tracking dogs in my opinion and I for one do not believe they would be deterred by ANYTHING if properly trained. For those who come up with the argument that dogs are scared of bigfoot, or it can sense that food has been doctored or it's too intelligent or any of the myriad of excuses given I have no time for because NO ONE really knows for sure.

It may not be the right solution but if this is a flesh and blood animal it CAN be caught or (regrettably) shot. By the way Mike never did answer my question as to why he doesn't lobby the Falcon Project to come down there. I would think the terrain would be more conducive to spotting it and Mike says they are certainly in the area so it would be a good place to start.

Oh oh - lunch has slipped away and time to get back to work. Hope that has given you something to think about. Regards.

When you can provide enough evidence of the existence of Bigfoot to satisfy the majority of the scientific community that they do, in fact exist, your claims regarding their behaviors may be of some interest. But claiming to have evidence of tool use by a creature you can't even proves exists is nothing more than delusions stacked on top of fantasy. You are building a second story on to a house that doesn't have any walls or foundation.

    7. "Haints"... How about you man up, grow a braincell and show us that the scientific evidence doesn't stand up? Forgive me, I forget that it's your intellectual level to dismiss something rhetorically and demand more... We know this from how you last only a two comments at the most when it gets too advanced for you. You see, by your very failures to show that the evidence is none existent (not yours directly, but those of your theory group who I'm sure you would love to aspire to), this is a means to invest enthusiasm on the authenticity of such a creature. You see... We have schools of archaeology to draw from in applying to theories regarding tools found in and around areas known the exhibit activity.

So... Though you would love to rhetorically demand we show proof before anything of the sort is discussed, it quite frankly is none of your business being so uneducated and stupid, and it is no more than a convenient bypass from discussing very real physical evidence that we already know you struggle to content with. You are no more intelligent than the average troll who craves cyber attention, to grasp that in an environment where people are not as equally in denial of the matter, that we can draw on recognised past hominid customs in relating to this immediate topic.

Hope that cleared it up for you a little.
