When you hear stories about the Make-A-Wish foundation, kids are usually meeting sports heroes, Hollywood celebrities, or going to Disney World. But a young man named Brandon had a different wish. Brandon wanted to go on a bigfoot hunt.
On the day of his wish, Brandon and his family met Cliff at the Mollala River in Oregon, site of one of the first Bigfoot investigations the show featured. Under a full moon, and armed with a thermal imaging scope and red-tinted LED headlamps, they climbed to the top of a hill, where their Bigfoot calls echoed through the valley. “It was really awesome getting to meet Cliff,” said Brandon. “He gave me a casting of Bigfoot footprint.”
They didn’t see Bigfoot that night. But Bobo, who couldn’t make the hunt but called Brandon the next day, told him that he’d seen Bigfoot four times. “I’ve never seen it, so it’s hard to imagine,” Brandon said. “But I don’t think he’s lying to me.” His mom, Lindy, chimed in: “We’d love for it to be real. We’ll be watching out on all our camping trips.” She continued, “You guys took really good care of us. We had a really special time.”
