After Hours with Rictor (The #1 Bigfoot Webcast): Bob Gimlin

On October 20, 1967, two cowboys, Roger Patterson and his friend Bob Gimlin, went down in history in the paranormal world by being at the right place at the right time... Frame 352 from Roger Patterson's movie camera is the most famous, iconic Bigfoot image ever and it has enthralled audiences across the world and frightened children growing up in the 1970's, motivating the next generation of Bigfooters like Cliff Barackman, Bart Cutino, Kathy Strain, and so on. Little did Bob Gimlin know that his involvement with his late friend's fascination for Bigfoot would change his life forever.

In the 47 years since they filmed that female Sasquatch in Bluff Creek, a lot has changed in the world with technology, science, and ethics... what are Bob Gimlin's thoughts on the current state of Bigfooting? IS HE KILL OR NO KILL? And what advice does he have for the next generation? You will also hear him detail the events that lead right up to their chance encounter in the woods with "Patti" and what his favorite memories are of the late Roger Patterson (February 14, 1926 – January 15, 1972). Did you know Bob had a second encounter just a few years ago? You will hear about that and why he doesn't do interviews.

  2. Really nice interview with Bob. Did not know about his second experience but having heard a bigfoot scream from close and then 15 years latter a ohio type moan from long distance Bob is correct how one can not imagine the volume from their lungs until you hear one.

Agree with RICTOR totally on why these creatures stay to the woods. After witnessing the havoc we brought upon the Neantherdals with our use of weapons it is better to stay away and survive. Besides their genetic make up and anatomy and strength and intelligence is perfect for the hard life in the bush.

I agree with Bob about on wanting to make contact by being submissive and non threatening and no kill however this would be better accomplished by woman.

A special treat for me this year was meeting and conversing with Bob at Salt Fork Lake in April. I asked him a question I am sure he is seldom if ever asked. During this interview he talked about how Patty walked away in an easy way. When you watch the film this is evident and it is relaxed and a normal gait, however I could tell that she was still covering a lot more ground than what a human would in a relaxed walk. So I asked Bob how much ground did she cover during the filming. He immediately rose from his chair and had a gleam and sparkle in this eye. He told me it was about 200 yards. I said two hundred yards in 29 seconds is really moving. He said you have to understand that there was some time elapsed before Roger was able to film her. In all told between the time they surprised her until the film ran out it was about 58 seconds. When I got home I did the math. 200 yards in 58 seconds relates to an average speed of 7.07 mph. Having used a treadmill quite a bit I already new that at 4 mph I was walking at a fast speed. At 5 mph I was in a jog. At 6mph it was more of a run. I looked up speedwalkers, still an Olympic event, and they are capable of what is called walking at this rate, however go and look and it is no normal walk, it looks more like a fast run and definitely is not anywhere a normal gait. My conclusion is that Patty and therefore bigfoots in general are able to walk at a far faster pace then a human can and this has been talked about in many many encounters by others.

When one is talking with Bob he comes across as so genuine and honest. there is no illusion of a person that has been lying for all these years and every scientific excursion into that film backs him up. Ms. Murray found out for herself. I

Hollywood has missed the boat on this for far to long. Now is the time to make a big production movie about the PG film and bring it to the world while Bob is still alive and can make his honest input into the movie. Ro you have connections in this world, get them to do it.

    1. Bob could have been rich by telling a lie according to Doug Hajicek, very well known hollywood producer. Instead his honesty would not let him do this. Get schooled, meet the guy or continue to make stupid and foolish statements. I am quite certain the route you will choose.

    2. There is nothing to show at all regarding bigfoot but stories and hoaxes and the imagination. The Patterson film was a 1st class, grade A hoax. It was a brilliant hoax.

    3. ^ there is much more to it than you pretend - but as all denyers you wilfully ignore much evidence - and certainly cannot rationalize what is in front of you - but no change there, huh ?

    4. LOL. Let's argue about a hoax about something that doesn't exist in the first place.
