Is This Photograph of a Family of Bigfoots In a Cave?

This photo was taken in 1895 by an amateur spelunker/photographer named Oren Jeffries while exploring an unmapped section of Grand Caverns, in Southwestern Virginia.

At the time it was taken, Jeffries was conducting photographic experiments, using super long exposures to see if anything at all could be captured in the total absence of light—otherwise known as “cave darkness.” He would situate himself on level ground, extinguish his lantern, and then open the lens of his homemade box camera for as long as he could stand the darkness.

During one of these experiments, he heard something approach from the deeper recesses of the cave. Frightened, Jeffries abandoned his experiment and set off one of the Blitzlicht flashes he used for taking traditional photos underground.

According to the report he later gave to a local newspaper, Jeffries saw three “humanoid” creatures staring at him from the shadows and took off running in the other direction and didn’t stop running until he was topside. Several days later, he returned with three other men to retrieve his box camera. This is the image that was recorded on the film inside.

(Brightened)
One of the "humanoids" raised an arm -- as if to throw something.

    13. An Unusual Human Skull From Near Lovelock, Nevada" by Erik K. Reed - Photographic work from the paper one by Dennis Van Gerven;

"The skull is categorized as "New World Material," a general archaic type referred to by Georg Neumann's term "Otamid variety." It resembled early period central California material from the lower Sacramento Valley (Neumann 1957) and from Tranquility in the San Joaquin Valley (Angel, 1966). It also resembles the the Ophir cranium from Virginia City, Nevada (Reichlen and Heizer 1966) - even having the strange os inca."

      Do you even science?

You see... Denying a hominid skull study that is directly linked to an Indian Bigfoot legend, a Bigfoot legend that is exactly the same as nearly every native legend in North America, and then asking for evidence, is pretty much self obliterating.

Your rhetorical denialist mess of a mind does not account for an accumilation of evidence like tracks & dermals, hair, scat, footage, archeological & anthropologocal studies, verified and published audio recordings with language, unknown primate DNA, ten thousand years of native culture, tens of thousands of eyewitnesses many of whom are multiple person. But forget all that... Let's see you try and explain the hominid skull study that's been archived...

Why doesn't anyone have a decent comeback for this?????

    17. "A skull was found in the Humboldt Sink Flats about 2-1/2 to 3 miles southwest of Lovelock Cave in Nevada. This was turned into the University of Nevada in 1967 by a student who discovered it. It was found near a site with stone tools that appeared to be Paiute in nature. This site had previously been partially excavated in 1965 by the University of California. Other items were found such as numerous Pinto points.
This item had some unusual features including a very prominent brow ridge, a markedly developed protruding nuchal crest with a distinct inion process, and a true os inca or interparietal bone. The skull was large, ovoid, with high vault but low retreating forehead and marked postorbital constriction with a massive occipital torus or crest. The mastoic processes were quite large and the supramastoid crests were well developed.

Sutural complexity was high with several Wormian bones in the lambdoid suture. The occipital was divided by an intricate suture just above the torus from asterion to asterion; a true interparietal bone. The pterion area is arranged in a fairly narrow H. There were broad supraorbital notches and infraorbital foramina were moderately large.

Glabella prominence was very strong with a large continuous brow ridge over the medial halves of the orbits which were squarish and horizontal. The malars were large and prominent with moderately developed zygomaxillary tuberosities. The suborbital areas were nearly flat. The root of the nose was high and narrow.

The mandible was large, strong, masculine and square. The teeth were very severely worn with no signs of cavities or crowding. It was believed to be an adult male, but not elderly."

"In the ancient world, and even later, when the number of sciences was smaller, when scientists were philosophers and encyclopedists, they well knew of the existence of wild hairy bipeds whom they called troglodytes, that is “cavemen”. One of such philosophers and lumenaries of natural history was Carolus Linneaus, the author of the terms Homo sapiens andHomo troglodytes. For the latter he also used the terms “silvestris” and “nocturnus”. Thus Linnaeus is the forefather of our direction of science.
Anthropologists are still unaware of the remarkable historical fact that the central and pretentious term of anthropology –Homo sapiens – appeared in science just in contrast to Homo troglodytes, the Caveman, whose existence was known to naturalists of antiquity and the Middle Ages."

None of those techniques introduce detail that is not in the original film because no such technique exists. You can not magic up detail that doesn't exist. The best you can do is interpolate but that is false detail and does not help your cause.

Wheeling out bill munns doesn't either.

It starts of ambiguous, apply your effects and yep its still ambiguous.

Watch any wildlife documentary... hell no... actually just look at any amateur photography of wildlife. THAT is unambiguous. Not patty.

      Delete
    4. Nope!

For all your special pleading, you still have digitalized & stabelized footage where all the detail needed is there for you to see... You can't even see these imaginary zippers that all your theory group claim are there, oh how lonely you must feel when you realize how dumb your argument is? & with a primatologist, wildlife biologist, anthropologist and a SX professional on board; job done.

Suggesting that a presented case should not be tested is in fact supression of evidence and is in fact, also special pleading... No area of scientific research get's excluded for a preconceived notion.

Wildlife photographers are assigned specific instruction and are allocated specific areas that would imply specific results. They are also professionals with professional equipment that usually erect little hideouts that don't do much for hiding against a creature with the wilderness awareness of five green berets, whereas the majority of this field are people from the general public who have to capture images of a far more evasive and intelligent creature than that of the projects of most wildlife biologists (the innumerable blobsquatches testify to this).

I said that the Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project would prove Bigfoot... And that's still in full swing. The documantary did nothing but show that early samples, were not what they were thought to be.

      http://youtu.be/foOjH0nJpPA

I think what's particularly interesting in the link I've pasted you, is the part when Rhettman Mullis says that the study has two significant finds. Also, it was quite interesting to hear of an anonymous person who they located who had a sloping forehead, longer arms, wider feet, bigger hands, was incredibly strong with an amazing tolerance to the cold. What makes it even more interesting, is that this individual was identified by others in his community that knew of old family members' stories of a female family member being taken; completely oblivious to this individual.

Sykes is an active member of Bigfootology of which Mullis is the founder. Sykes has been in close affiliation with Mullis in attaining research accumulation for the Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project.

    3. Associates in the accumilation of research in the said study ain't so poor though... And requesting that submitters find their own samples would be because he's folked out on his own finances to fund the study so far... Perfecty natural to request what he has done and the only weak thing is using that as an excuse for the info presented to you up top.

As was explained to you in the previous thread, there are in fact three studies in one. What Bigfoot actually is, living Bigfoot hybrids and of course; the Zana study that has in fact been delayed off the back of investigating the relict properties of Kwit's skull (though I'm not suggesting what he's concluded upon).

    5. "An open letter to the Bigfoot research community

Now that the “Bigfoot Files” television series has aired, I can talk more about it. I must first preface my comments by saying there are still things I cannot say because Bryan’s paper is in peer-review and his book is scheduled to come out in the spring.

With a fundamental understanding that Bigfoot do exist, we take a multidisciplinary approach to learning more about the species. When we began working with Bryan on the DNA project we had one goal in mind – not to prove or disprove that Bigfoot exists, but to answer the question, “What are they?”

We knew the project’s outcome would be conditional on what we received as samples. If you have seen the TV series you saw that 12 samples’ results were revealed. All were known animals, with the exception of some glass fibers sent from Russia. As you can see, a lot of money and effort was wasted on some samples. It must be noted that Bryan generously self-funded this project all on his own, including all of the travel. I can tell you that this has not been cheap and I doubt if he will ever recoup his investment, so those who claim that he is in this for the money don’t know what they are talking about. Neither Bryan, nor Bigfootology, charged anyone for processing, shipping and analyzing the samples for this project.

The results aired on the television shows do not compromise Bryan’s paper in peer review. The show is purely entertainment and as I said before, we had no control over it. So the concerns of some people who think that results revealed in the show are leaks from the paper are unfounded. We kept things quiet for so long, why would we suddenly “leak” anything? We are a professional organization and adhere to the proper scientific process."
