New Bigfoot Sightings Map Show That Bigfoots Avoid People And Mexico
Here's a new map generated by Josh Stevens showing 92 years of Bigfoot sightings in the US and Canada. Using data from the BFRO, Stevens was able to generate this incredibly detailed graph from all 3,313 sightings that were reported from 1921 to 2013. Stevens writes:
Right away you can see that sightings are not evenly distributed. At first glance, it looks a lot like a map of population distribution. After all, you would expect sightings to be the most frequent in areas where there are a lot of people. But a bivariate view of the data shows a very different story. There are distinct regions where sightings are incredibly common, despite a very sparse population. On the other hand, in some of the most densely populated areas sasquatch sightings are exceedingly rare.

DeleteWell I live in an area that those mapped out sightings show lots of past reports. That's news to me. I know of one sighting reported or otherwise EVER, around this area. Somebody is pulling a leg or something. We all know each other, lots of small communities with families and friends(GOSSIP), now I'm starting to be a skeptic myself.

ReplyDeleteThe timeline has an error that I'm sure will be pointed out to him, but aside from that minor quibble this is pretty cool...He says he is a PhD candidate and his field of interest is Geographic Information Science and visualization. I think his PhD will be in Computer Science, but I'm not 100% sure...
