This Tale of a Captured Bigfoot In Kentucky Is Actually Pretty Good [Video]

Author D.L. Soucy currently has a series out on YouTube featuring old tales of Bigfoot from different parts of the country. At first glance, his videos all look like they would suck, but Soucy's story telling is pretty awesome once he gets into it and we're now hooked! His latest tale is about a a Kentucky Bigfoot capture that was reported in the newspapers back in 1892. Watch it below:

A Kentucky Bigfoot Capture?

The April 2, 1892 issue of the Toledo Bee newspaper makes front page mention of a wild monster having been captured in the woods downriver from Brandenburg, Kentucky. At first, the article simply calls it a monster, but then calls it a gorilla. Was it a gorilla? It would seem so, however...

The description of this beast says it was fully seven feet high, had hands and feet, not paws, and was sought for because it had been eating dogs and calves around Meade County. Gorillas are primarily herbivores, and have never been known to seek or hunt down meat for food. Further, I have not been able to find a source that claims any gorillas to attain a seven foot height, and that even six feet in height would be a rare occurrence.

The big question is, how exactly did a gorilla come to be roaming around the backwoods of Kentucky, chasing down dogs and cows, especially in the year 1892? Is it possible that this story instead tells of the capture of what we call a Bigfoot today? And if so, what happened to the creature after its capture?

An interesting side note here is that my research efforts brought to light a brief piece from a 1962 newspaper that plaster foot castings made by a six foot tall, black hairy ape-like creature that had been reported in the Bedford, Kentucky area. As the crow flies, this wasn't all that far from where the beast in the article was captured in 1892. Was this a descendent?

  4. Seriously where is the fucking monkey?

A lot of people make a lot of wild fucking claims but you seem to be missing something... an actual fucking monkey.

DWA cant produce a monkey or any evidence of a monkey.

Sweati yeti cannot produce a monkey and no amount of drawing in ms paint on blurry stills from a hoaxed film in the 60s is going to change that.

    Got monkey?

Nope. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Nowt. Sweet fuck all.

    3. Lol..The PGF grows more sacrosanct with every year that passes without physical evidence..

That is bubble that will eventually deflate if no evidence is forthcoming: after a few decades almost all will say "There is no bigfoot, so the film is a hoax."
Better that it burst and Al DeAtley publishes his memoirs...

    4. True dat.

Pgf isnt even a decent argument for footers. The film looks like a bloke in a suit and not even a good suit. The ridiculous static butt that detatches from the legs is hilarious. Ive never seen a single decent argument from a footer that addresses that. Its ignored. Just like rogers shady back story is ignored. Everywhere roger went there were bigfoots. He told stories of a bigfoot picking up his truck while he was in it. He drew a picture of a female bigfoot and later on went out and filmed an identical female bigfoot. Yea right. Its incredible how people are so willing to believe that they will brush all these facts aside.

So there we have it. The pgf IS a hoax. That is not even questioned. Without the pgf footers have nothing. And they know it.

      Pwned.

    6. Anon 8:33/true dat/bloke,

WE dealt with the static butt issue recently when BE posted the video of the African girl with the enormous buttocks. If you watched that you saw sometimes movement of her thighs and hips didn't transmit into or affect the flesh of the butt.

Further, if you watch rear-view footage of Patty walking away, the butt does move from side to side; it's not static. You might also study the spinal erectors while you're at it.

The claim that no one has dealt with that issue is false. The claim that no one has explained that issue is false. On top of it, the claim of that issue in general is exaggerated, as I just pointed out, which you'll see in the rear view footage.

Patterson's drawing of a female bigfoot was one of his illustrations for the Ostman story. This drawing was per Ostman's description, not Patterson's. If you read Ostman's story you will understand that.

This drawing is not "identical" to Patty. The breasts are dissimilar and Ostman's old lady was a flat-top, a flat topped skull, while Patty is a conehead. They are not similar enough for that drawing to anticipate the appearance of Patty.

It's incredible how you are "so willing to believe that you will brush these facts aside."

Since you are suffering from brush-facts-aside-itis, please follow these directions:

With a gentle backward pulling pressure, remove your skull from the dark dank wet orifice in which you've inserted it. There will be a popping sound when your skull emerges; do not be alarmed.

With your skull now free of the black orifice, look around you.

Please follow these directions immediately so that we may be relieved of your ignorance and lies.

    8. Back it up, you are being misleading with regard to Rogers drawings. He also had an illustration portraying the alleged Roe encounter. That picture also was a female and did not have the flat head.....

  5. It's because there isn't a monkey, only a type of wild human. Coming across so angry only makes you sound more ignorant as you don't know the facts or have the time to look at the evidence even if it was pointed out to you.

    1. Sleeve aversion? You mean how Larry the Cable Guy has an aversion to wearing sleeves?

By the way, it's awfully arrogant to write things such as "Tale debunked." It causes people to dismiss you. Do you like being dismissed?

I guess that means you have nothing. We dont know if you like it or not.

  9. The truth is, you need to have developed quite a bit of knowledge about this subject to come across pockets of evidence that confirms the existence. I just love the way that skeptics come on this blog, voice their ignorance and then jet off again without taking any notice of the offers of facts. Put it like this... It took 60 years to confirm the existence of the panda and the search was given up half way through time, thinking they'd never find it.

  11. Why has no one used dogs to track a Bigfoot in modern times?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There are countless accounts of dogs being very scared and fleeing in the presence of Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People, whilst there are also many more accounts of dogs being attacked or killed post Bigfoot sighting with the same creature thought to be responsible. The non compliant behaviour of dogs in the wilderness around these creatures has on several occasions been used by experienced hunters to highlight the presence of something very odd, as the same dogs are trained to attack bear and mountain lion. If you have not seen anything by David Paulides, check out some of his radio discussions on his 'Missing 411' books, as there are many accounts from experienced trackers that have had trained dogs to search for missing people in national parks, act very strange and refuse to act on what they have been trained to do.

  12. Sykes and Meldrum have knowledge that there are indeed Sasquatches living amongst this. They only speak about it and wont confirm it. They believe in it but wont put their credibility on the line to say for a fact their are some bipedal creatures roaming around. Look at Indian drawings in caves, in Indian literature, and Scriptures. at one point had to be something out there. Maybe these squatches were the last of a dying breed. I respect Sykes and Meldrum for drawing their own opinions and if there is a body or a legitimate video brought forward instead of all these blurry ones, then you will keep having this debate. It sparks the curiosity of people. The legend and the myth will live on. Its fiction until proven otherwise.I'm split down the middle on this one.
