This Bigfoot Video Is Fake, But Creepy As F**k
Though this video is fake as hell, they got a few things right. The subject appears to to have the look of a juvenile Bigfoot, and can probably pass as one if the video was blurrier. The costume looks really good, and it's even got the correct posture and a really nice "bum". The scream at the end of the clip sounds impressive and quite terrifying.
Confirms:
All over auburn color, coned head, rise-pause-fall, observing from a strategic position, nose to nape of the neck, cupped hands, brow ridge, backwards sloping forehead Ostman's pads, grey on face and palms of the hands, uh uh uh compliant gait.
What you are looking at is a real living breathing sasquatch. It's powerful.

If you click/pause a lot the proportions in profile both still and when it runs off are strange. The butt is huge (the acclaimed diaper butt of Patty?), the head and arms are odd. The whole thing is odd. A serious breakdown a la MKD would help.

ReplyDeleteThis isn't a costume. the reason it's looks so creepy is that it's CGI/composite. The "give-away" is in the stiff pose in moving forward, the terrible feet (typical low quality model), and how when it moves through the bushes it fails to block the sun/create shadow on the leaves closer to the camera. You can also notice the bad attempt at motion blur in blending with the bushes. Keep practicing, one day you'll get it right . . .

It's easy to render a ground/cast shadow, but when compositing the CG and the footage they failed to correct the bushes and create shadow across the vegetation. You're more than welcome to believe it's a 10' skinny monkey with a big butt. Go at it! I'm just telling you my opinion and what I see.

Aside from all the telling problems in the clip, of which there are many, if you look at the clip on YouTube you'll notice that the original poster (topstick02) has a total of 4 videos, including this clip. The other 3 clips are all CGI test clips and it looks like the poster is maybe a 1st year CG student in San Diego.
