Dr. Melba Ketchum Versus Matt Moneymaker Tomorrow Night?

Editor's Note: This is a guest post by Bigfoot Evidence contributor Dirk Taylor, a Sasquatch enthusiast.

Well by now everyone has heard the news. Melba Ketchum has issued a press release containing the findings of her study.

What is most interesting about this is the timing. The Saturday after Thanksgiving Melba Ketchum issues a press release, which just so happens to fly in the face of her tight lipped nature over the past two years. Remember Ketchum went so far as to engage in a disinformation campaign in an attempt to undermine the trustworthiness of what was reported by Robert Lindsey. Now all of a sudden Ketchum issues a statement that confirms most, it not all of what Robert Lindsay has reported.

Now Ketchum’s sudden need to inform everyone just so happens to take place the day before an episode of Finding Bigfoot, where Matt Moneymaker and company are provided a large portion of what is believed to be Sasquatch hair. The previews make clear this hair was sent out for DNA testing, with the results scheduled for release on the episode.

One has to believe that Moneymaker’s DNA test has to show something that has never been seen before. Why else would Ketchum choose today to issue a release? Could it be that Ketchum is worried about being usurped by Moneymaker? Could it be that Ketchum is concerned that Moneymaker’s findings will render her paper an after thought, with all the credit for discovering Bigfoot DNA going to Moneymaker and Animal Planet?

Think about it. The discovery of Bigfoot DNA will be major news. Those responsible will not only be credited with a major scientific find but will also likely be afforded many opportunities to profit from their findings. Finding Bigfoot is an extremely popular show and their findings are sure to garner a great deal of attention. Is today’s release an attempt by Ketchum to prevent herself from being completely ignored when people talk about who discovered Bigfoot DNA?

I think Ketchum’s actions are very telling when anticipating what the world will see tomorrow night. I think it shows congratulations will be in order for Moneymaker and company as they have made a major discovery.

If only Sally were still around to let us all know for sure.

Dirk Taylor

    2. Well, that'll be interesting if Matt now admits his favorite beast isn't some big wild ape after all but some kind of human. If that's the case, I really admire he's been able to keep that a secret.

    3. First off, Lindsay got only one thing right. As far as this Disinformation, that also came from Lindsay so he could have been making that up to cover his own ass.

Secondly, this episode was most likely filmed last year as they were doing two seasons at once. What makes you think that the DNA from the hair was not sent to Melba? In interviews with Bobo, he has named Melba's DNA Study. He did it on that Pod cast and he did it again on news networks.

Really?? ROFLMAO. NO one will believe her story, regardless of where the "paper" is published. Rubbish...as long as there is MtDNA that is HUMAN tied with it. Can you say CROSS CONTAMINATION??

    1. Moneymaker couldn't pass the BAR in California, went to work at Kinko's and founded BFRO, hoorah! No, he's not writing any papers and only bought DNA from another researcher because his group couldn't find any for the last 8 years!! Fact! The only thing Moneymaker is going to release is an "I'm Sorry" to Bobo for calling bigfoot animals and apes for all these years...Eating crow is a har thing for old Matt, be ready, should be enlightening!!

    2. I believe that it was stated in one of the other posts that the went to great lengths to rule out that possibility...

    3. Did you ever think that cross contamination is the first thing they think about dumbass? That's why most DNA tests like this take so long because they double and triple repeat the test... idiot.

      Delete
    4. Why do people say that Moneymaker "couldn't pass the bar"? After law school he became a webmaster and never took the bar. Saying he "couldn't pass the bar" makes it sounds he took the bar and failed.

I distinctly remember him saying in the Ohio episode that he started the BFRO web site while he was in law school.

  6. That dumb episode of FB was taped at least six months ago and if they actually found verifiable proof of bigfoot DNA, we would have known about it already -- because there is one thing that these media hogs can't resist: major headlines and undeserved attention for themselves. Do you really think they would sit on such a discovery all these months just to reveal it during a crappy cable TV show? No, we will get an hour of suspenseful build up with stirring music and faux melodramatic narration all leading up to a giant turd of a climax with some fake biologist in a lab coat talking about how the DNA test results are "inconclusive" or some BS like that.

  7. I don't think Melba was to worried about Moneymaker but I do think she wanted to get ahead of the Oxford study.

    2. I'm sorry but if any one of Meldrum's footprint casts are real, then this thing is not a "modern human". No "human" in the genus homo that is represented in the fossil record has a foot structure that makes those prints.
The left topo map of a foot imprint in the link below is of A. aferensis. Notice the full foot wide mid-foot arch. The print to the right being H.sapiens, the two middle prints are H. erectus.

      http://archaeology.about.com/od/prehumanhistory/ss/ileret_footprin_6.htm

Seeing how no DNA samples of any Australopithicines exist, this thing could be a robust form. The other possibility is that it is or is a direct offshoot of a progenitor species (either A. robustus or boisei being one). One directly in line with us but not totally us. If the mtDNA is human and it appears to be a hybrid, then maybe the old Native American stories of Sasquatch carrying off women is true for they have the ability to mate with modern humans.

But, I cannot believe they are "modern" homo Sapiens.

      http://voices.yahoo.com/bigfoot-dna-report-hypothesis-2011-8786601.html?cat=58

The Patterson-Gimlin film shows what I believe to be more of a robust Australopithicine. Of course if the DNA hybrid theory proves out, then it may not be a pure form.

Whenever these freaks have information they claim, or imply, that will shock the world... and then they sit on it, and wait, and wait, and drag out for dramatic effect... whenever this occurs, my B.S. detector immediately is set off. It's like that time the fool stuffed his rubber costume in a freezer, called press releases, contacted that Vegas conman, or more recently when some bubba claimed he shot a baby bigfoot. Basically put up or shut up. And why the delay? If I had undisputed proof, I'd let the world know and then I'd be on Letterman in two days talking about it.

    A tater is a potato.

A hole is an empty space.

Therefore, the word in question means a potato with a hole in it.

Alternately, it means a hole in which you insert a potato.

Either way, the term involves a potato and an empty space.

    Okay?

  20. I think there could well be some juxtaposition among seperate studies to be first with the scoop, it makes me wonder about the timeline of unfolding announcements.
The first announcement seemed to be the suspicous claim of a Russian Professor Valentin Sapunov :

"Analysis was conducted in the Russia and US and 'agreed the hair came from a human-like creature which is not a Homo sapien yet is more closely related to man than a monkey', said the Siberian Times, citing claims made on a regional government website in Russia in the area where the hair samples were allegedly found."

Are the Russians trying claim the scoop.

This was reported on the 30th October but was considered as suspicous by another Russian Dr Igor Birtsev, who strangely enough was the person who leaked the results of the Ketchum study.

Is Birtsev a sleeper for the US efforts or is he managing a false Russian story to force Ketchums hand.

Clearly the Sykes study could well be putting pressure on the whole shooting match but exactly where the truth lies regarding group dynamics is fun to speculate.

  26. As the beard of Bob Titmus i can tell you this is the current battle of the titans with respect to bigfootery and bullshit in general.

In one corner we have Moneymaker. He has the backing, the public profile, even the start of a real beard.

In the other corner is the Melba. Never one to be fucked with. She deals in the 'real' world of bigfoot DNA.

As the beard of Bob Titmus I predict a lot of cuntpunching and a draw. Right down the midde so neither side loses.

    And the argument goes on...

    ReplyDelete
  27. If no one really cares enough to report what everyone thinks is earth shattering news does it matter whether Melba of Moneymaker take credit? Maybe believers and sceptics have both over estimated the importance of this study to the world because you'd think that some news network would be saying something and I don't think there's a cover up going on just it's not been deemed newsworthy which is kinda crazy because the Falcon Project got a lot of press even here in the UK

Yeah very true as there is a whole load of "real" news going on at the moment (Problems in Egypt, Gaza Strip and Black Friday sales madness) but you'd think that at least there would be a story on all their news sites ? Or at least on Reuters? I'm amazed that a story hasn't appeared yet just as like you said a fluff piece for the news anchors to mock the Footers? It just seems weird that no one has deemed the possible verification of a new humanoid spiecies as worthy of placing on their news website at least, hell the mapping of the pig genome got press on the BBC's website and a woman in Sweden getting arrested for necrophilia was on Reuters but not one line about Melba?!!!
