The Seminole Skunkape Location Project

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Florida Skunk Ape Hunter Tim Fasano. You can visit his blog, Seminole Project.

This short video will give you the general idea of the Seminole Project and what we are attempting to accomplish. We take the responsibility seriously that the Olympic Project has bestowed upon us by lending us the cameras and we are doing our best to make this a success. We have put in a tremendous amount of work to secure the perfect areas for a possible finding. Let me explain.

The areas we have found were test run first after scouting the areas for evidence of natural resources. Water, vegetation, cover and seclusion were high on the list. If we could go for hours without ever seeing another human being then we knew we were in the right areas. Test runs of the Reconyx RC60 stealth cams proved the areas were teaming with wildlife. We then set a permanent deployment for a November media card and battery change out.

All is set and now the areas are full of swamp water and bugs. We could not realistically get back there which is good. Nobody else could get back there as well. With the change of season in November, all should be well.

    1. Tin Fasano + OP xoxox kissing cousins, after first cousin once removed Justin Smeja returned the cameras. This is sure to be productive, can't wait for the comnbined results and study.

    1. Yeah because cameras sometimes take really good pictures of stuff and it would be awesome if they could take a really good picture of Bigfoot.

  9. Tim seems quite relaxed in this video. It's good to hear what his project is doing and the time frame involved for checking back on the cameras.
It looks like the exercise is paying off for Tim as well. I hope his future videos are as positive as this one.

    1. SN how do you manage to see the positive in everyone including Fasano?I wish I could do that but with him ,Dyer, bascardi I just can't do it.good for you though.

    2. gnrfan, I have nothing good to say about Dyer and Biscardi, that'll never change. Those two are the poster boys for everything that is wrong in Bigfooting.
The problem I have with Tim is his ranting and name calling. His association with Dyer is a sore spot with me as well.
I happen to think this is a decent video because of the content and Tim's attitude. I've said plenty of negative things about Tim and in my eyes I was justified. In this case his video had good content in my opinion, so why not give a kudos?

    8. Thanks Nation. The technical is what is exciting. The camera gives an objective rendering of what it saw, unlike humans, who are subjective. The camera at night uses thermal imaging allowing it to work 24/7/365. How could a researcher do that?

Any images of Bigfoot would belong to OP and I would send Dereck the original media card. We have been doing this in secret since January. Now if we get the image, you know who owns it. Not me.

  10. *Derek Randles' thoughts as he talks to himself*

It's been a rough summer the cluster F of the shooting yarn, not to mention the DNA debacle, I need something to keep the buzz going and rebuild credibility. I know, we can hook up with a youtube star, Taxi Tim, yeah, that's the ticket. Wonder if Dyer is available, he'd be great to have at the knock off camp out.

    1. Who (other than Timmy) would call Fasano a youtube "star"? Notorious, yes. I think it's more like, "Hell, we've got these two cams we aren't using at the moment, who's got time to monitor them?"

BTW, it's typical Fasano that he's named the cams "C" and "D" so we'll assume he also got an A and B. Hahaha!!!

  12. Some of you folks take the cake. No the Olympic project is not desperate after dumping Justin. I actually told Justin he could hang onto the cameras and keep using them. I loaned Tim F these cameras quite a while ago. I knew he would put them to good use. Yes, he can be a loose cannon at times, but I'll tell you, at least he gets off his ass and does research, and I respect him for that. The man puts in his time and I wish him luck. Also, yes, Justin is out of the Olympic Project due to his actions. That is true, but the sample is still a very large part of the DNA study. I completely believe Justin. I'm quite positive this event happened, and I have my reasons. Justin and I are still friends and hopefully it will remain that way. I removed him from our research group for his actions, not because I don't believe him. He is telling the truth as far as I'm concerned. Another thing. The Olympic Project is conducting much work at this time. We have multiple investigations going and we're still maintaining and monitoring over 50 remote cameras. Some of you here engage your mouths before you engage your brains. My father always told me, " if you don't know what your talking about, it's better not to talk ". It's very clear some here don't have any idea what they're talking about. Peace,

    1. Pardon me MR.Randles I have nothing rude to say about you but my father always told me "if ya got something to say just say it".When you are dealing with Fasano you are 2 steps away from Biscardi. with all the negative things people say about Justin and hoaxing and how long it is taking to get some results, you may want to ask yourself if you are so confident in the final outcome of this, whenever that may be,that you want that mans name anywhere near this project. You know the media will jump on anything negative when this comes out. It's your deal not mine but you did come hear and say that we "engage our mouth before we engage our brains" and although I dont agree with some people here and some dont like me.Being involved in the big secret that we are not allowed to know yet doesnt make you any wiser than some here.and just for the record saying that it's very clear some here dont have any idea what they are talking about. It is very clear to some of us no nots on here some involved in your project dont seem to know what they are talking about.peace

    2. I will clarify this for you. I'm not working with Tim F, I simply loaned him some cameras to help with his research. Fact of the matter is, they are my personal cameras, three or four of the eight I own. I don't play into the Biscardi drama, and I don't loose sleep over the potential bad press that may be coming our way. I've kept this honest and straight forward since the beginning. I'm not wiser than anyone here, but some here can be serious assholes for lack of something better to do. It's really quite hilarious how we simply conduct our research day to day, not hurting anyone, Not putting out stupid videos, and yet people here say awful things as if we are doing something evil. WTF??? BTW, if you're referring to BoBo running his mouth on the Rogan interview, ya you're right. I love him to death, but he definitely spoke out of line about things he doesn't know about, and I did let him know. BoBo is a contributing member of the OP, but not a core member. There are only three of us that have been told results. BTW again, IT'S NOT MY FAULT IT'S A SECRET!! We got no control over that. I do know that if I run my mouth I could get in legal trouble due to the paperwork I signed in the beginning.
      Peace again,
      Derek Randles

    3. BTW, most of the awful things I'm talking about are on previous threads. This one seems pretty tame so far. At least till tomorrow..lol.

    4. thank you Derek, the wait is frustrating for some on here and that is why you get some negative comments. The other negative ones come from people who, for whatever reason no matter what you say just like to be a$$holes when hidden behind a keyboard. responding to them feeds them and keeps them doing it over and over again.Like I said I have nothing bad to say about you or to you and have much respect for OP and anyone who gets off their ass and does honest research. The thing that worries me when these not so reputable names start even getting mentioned around the project even in the smallest of ways it can cause damage.I took offense to your engaging you mouth before your brain comment because I thought you painting us all with the same brush but you cleared that up and I am glad you did and I appreciate that.there are some of us that want the best results possible from this project as I am sure you do.I do not care for Tim's public persona but like I said its your deal not mine.I think it's great that what the press thinks doesn't bother you but it does bother me because the last time anything close to this magnitude in 08 turned out the way it did.I have been waiting for something like this since 1986 and only want the best for all involved. Finally I understand about the NDA.but when you have people throwing in their own opinions and then saying I can't talk about this or that, well the damage is done so I am glad you have spoken to the ones that have done that. There are alot of people who are a$$holes just to be a$$holes,on the other hand there are some of us that do wish all honest hard working researchers the best and are thankful for their time and effort unfortunately it is always the negative that stands out thanks again for posting and replying and I will patiently wait for the results.Hell its been 26 yrs I guess a little longer aint gonna kill me.best of luck with the OP.

    6. I just have one question. Why was 250lbs of casting material brought in before the Skookum bed was supposedly discovered? I've spoken with one of the researchers there that day and that's how he remembered it. Who goes on expeditions carrying that much plaster?

It really lends credibility to the scuttlebutt of the lay being identified prior to when it was "supposedly originally " discovered. Is the researcher present FOS or was he telling the truth in regards to the plaster being brought in prior and not sent for after the discovery?

    7. For the record, I am not part of the Olympic Project but I have known Dereck for years (before the OP). He was only trying to help kevin and I upgrade what we are doing.

I once worked with Tom Biscardi and Mitch Waite for a few hours in May 2011 when they came to Florida to see Scott marlowe.

I never saw them again. I have no contact with them and I am not associated with them. I have my own team.

The reason I mentioned Dereck is if we get an image it would be his. I would send him the original media card. What happened then would happen.

      Delete
    8. That's good to hear. Biscardi's a bastard. Researchers should stay far away from that guy if they want to be taken seriously.

  15. On the Skookum trip there were a few of us there that had plaster. I always carried lots of plaster with hopes of finding and documenting a track line. Rick Noll always carried a lot for the same reason I suppose. When we cast the Skookum impression everybody there pooled their plaster to come up with enough, and we barely made it. As far as the impression being there before, I don't think so. I personally baited the muddy area the night before. Yes it was dark, but I don't think it was already there. Besides that, the impression was fresh.
