Robert Lindsay: Ketchum Paper Has Passed Peer Review
Just remember where you heard it first my friends. The long-awaited Ketchum paper has finally passed peer review. And of course, we picked up this little gem from Robert Lindsay-- who reportedly got the official confirmation from an unnamed source.
Robert Lindsay reported the following just moments ago, regarding Dr. Ketchum's Bigfoot DNA paper:
Dr. Melba Ketchum Bigfoot DNA paper passes peer review, now awaiting publication date. From sources inside the Ketchum camp, we strongly believe that Ketchum’s Bigfoot DNA paper has finally passed peer review with its endless requests for changes and revisions, major and minor. A recent post on Ketchum’s site stated:
Melba Ketchum: “Everyone keeps asking for posts. Just waiting with no control over timing so there is nothing to report! It is out of my hands at this time!!!!!”
Checking in with sources inside in the Ketchum camp, we were able to confirm from multiple persons that the paper is finished and has finally passed peer review. Now all Ketchum is waiting for is a publication date, and she has no idea when that is coming. This is great news!

Please follow with some unnassailable backup so we don't need to engage in a bunch of nonsense comments.
ReplyDeleteI actually think thats great news for her and the Believers...and as promised I will apologize profusely to Dr Ketchum and ALL believers if it is proven that there is legitimate Bigfoot evidence. You guys hate me, but actually I would LOVE ro be proven wrong....lets see if she comes through
DeleteI will take you at your word Timmy. Hate is a word you would use but just consider that we don't warm to those that "TELL" us how and what to think. Most of us grew out of that a long time ago. Now, either this is report is correct or not, though I never believe what Lindsay has to say. I am particularly interested to see the list of co-authors and who did the blind testing. Let's hope she has the full genome as well as the mtDNA because at least then the many sequences that match other primates can be checked going forward. I do hope people realise that this is just the beginning of the DNA analysis. With your claimed expertise, I hope you consider putting up an article here Timmy that discusses the results, if and when the paper is published.
DeleteYawn...who cares at this point?
ReplyDeleteIt's the yawner again
DeleteOut of all the BS posted on this site. Robert's scoop and insight are the only true meaningful contributions.
ReplyDeletehttp://exposexpress.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/lol-guy.png
DeleteDamn. Either Shoot me or give me some damn results
ReplyDelete"Peer review" at.......... Horse & Hound.
ReplyDeleteHorse and Hound, Rabbit and Squirrel, Cat and Dog. Who cares? I would like to read the information for myself.
Deleteisn't that "moose and squirrel"?
DeleteBoris & Natasha
Deleterocket j. squirrel and bullwinkle the moose
DeleteI care still, and am waiting with anticipation.
ReplyDeleteI saw in BFF the other day a similar claim, so it must be true :)
Really exciting.
+1
DeleteVery good news yes, regardless the outcome of this it won't change the fact the species is there but it's about time we knew officially what many of us have known from personal experiences for years. By the way, Lindsay's indeed the man and all good men in Bigfootery as we know have first names beginning with Ro.
Delete@skeptics
ReplyDeleteRobert Lindsay is like the dad you've never had. Soon the truth about these hairy people will be out and you'll be left wondering why your real dad couldn't teach you critical thinking skills. Peace out mofos
I'm waiting for the Oxford results, but thanks. Dr. Ketchum's bizarre contributions have already trivialized this subject enough. I have zero doubt about the fact of this primate and she'll never affect that.
ReplyDeleteKetchum FAILED at doing what SHE SAID she would do and that is: PROVE the EXISTENCE of Sasquatch. So this paper is meaningless, period. It's just another: "DNA from an UNKNOWN SOURCE" type of claim. In the grand scheme of mainstream science, she has proved NOTHING. All that is left for her is to make money off of this, guaranteed. Ho-hum on this news........
DeleteNow the Sykes study is definitely a thing that interests me.
Geeks galore. Face it, Ketchum has done exactly what she said she would and this study will show that.
DeleteLMFAO at you !! I guess it stings a little !
DeleteAnon 8:05 . You havn't even seen the work ! How can you even comment on what it says and doesn't say? More are laughing at you than with you
DeleteSoon the trolls won't laugh so much except at themselves, and isn't that what thye're doing anyway.
DeleteI bet you (all of you) that this does NOT prove the existence of Sasquatch. That IS what she set out to do. What will happen is: " well we have DNA from an unidentified source". With that I say, big effing deal. We already have that. So what did she accomplish again? NOTHING. Just chasing her tail.
DeleteShe should focus on here Grade: "F" BBB rating, not trying to pocket every last cent she set out to rake in.
Certainly one of the dumbest comments ever seen here by someone who prefers to wallow in ignorance than bother to learn something. That that would require you to actually make an effort and that is probably too hard. Lazy person.
DeleteAlways knew Ketchum would come out on top of all this, it was just a question of time and in the meantime the trolls played. Now their fun's over, can't keep covering something big like this up forever.
Deletegood news!
ReplyDeleteI assume said revisions include : removing any mention of the word's Sasquatch or Bigfoot
ReplyDeleteRemoving and ,mention of evidence for unknown hominid roaming north america
presenting actual results as evidence of a new modern human DNA polymorphism that had not previously been described in Genbank.
So, unless it's in something like The Journal For Scientific Exploration or another fringe journal, it's gonna say "hey, look, modern human DNA that hasn't been put in GenBank yet!
and it could just be an Indian tribe that isn't in there yet and will prove nothing.
But she will just wink at everyone and let the Lindsay's of the world say "Proof!!" when it really won't be proof of anything.
This has always seemed fishy, and with no type specimen for comparison, no journal worth it's salt will allow a paper to make such vast jumps in logic...
You are a Journal editor, surely?
DeleteNope, just someone who knows that without a type specimen, no journal of any merit would allow the conclusion of Bigfoot to be made from modern human DNA.
DeleteThat's not to say that she is lyin or that her data isn't Bigfoot, but that no journal would allow such a leap to be made. It would require the conclusions to only be made on what the data proves and not what it "might" prove.
Truly, sir, you are a god among men.
DeleteSo any new species discovered in the past with no comparison is not real and is fictional? Get real. What background did this guy come from ? Janitorial !
DeleteYou have stated "no paper with it's salt will allow such vast jumps in logic" but that is exactly what you are doing. You are making huge jumps in assuming what she has or hasn't presented.
DeleteI am confident by your statements that regardless of what the results say; If they are conclusive you will immediately call the journal a fringe tabloid or attack the science involved by calling the scientists liars.
Obviously, you have already made up your mind so why bother?
Perfectly said! +1000
DeleteIf this was a DNA paper on anything else anon 10:28 would accept , but because it's Sasquatch he/she won't accept it? Come on! Go back to the skeptic blog!
DeleteAnon 6:15,
DeleteAwwww, those FACTS HURT don't they?
The bottom line is that she set out to PROVE the EXISTENCE of Bigfoot BUT she DIDN'T come CLOSE to doing that.
She has failed and all that will presented is ANOTHER study of :"DNA of an UNKNOWN source", which byt the way ALREADY has been covered by past researchers.
Are you idiots the same people on the JREF? How could she fail when her paper is set for publishing now?
DeleteThey are indeed our bitter foes out playing on uber geek Randi's behalf. LOL Jealous clueless lot they are. There's no need for a specimen at this point, the goal of this study was and is to prove there's an unknown primate humanlike species out there and this it just may do. Once that's done more study will follow, video and so forth, still no body needed because the DNA will probably show they're human so that would be murder unless accident.
DeleteAnon 8:09 is a complete idiot. Has absolutly no idea what he is talking about. He hasn't even seen the paper! Get off the couch and put down the chips and try doing your own peer reviewed work!
DeleteAgain trolls, she DID NOT PROVE the existence of Sasquatch. End of story. DNA from an unknown source, whoopie! Oh wait, we already have that. Buy a clue.
DeleteI'v helped a Biologist work on a paper for a journal before, and I know how stringent the quality controls on the premium ones like Nature are for publication.
DeleteIf she had said she had found a new species of tree frog named Litoria uganda, based off of DNA alone. Other scientists are going to want to see the samples from which this DNA was taken, they will want to be able to replicate the results, and they would require a type specimen for study.
Using the same frog as an analog for Ketchum's study, there would already be all the different species of Litoria DNA to use for comparison, whereas with Bigfoot, what is there to use? Humans? Gorillas? See the problem?
IF she has type specimens to be used for comparison by other scientists, AND she has not patented her primers and allows them to also be used , AND this get's published in a real journal, she might actually have something.
I'm skeptical, but I will wait and see, and judge it for what it says.
p.s. remember, having a paper published is NOT an endorsement that the view there is correct or the only one. Journals are not the be all all and end all. The real judgement comes after the paper is read by the scientific community and then challenged or replication attempts are made by others.
think of it like this, having it published is kinda like turning in your essay, having the community read it is when the grading begins.
I suspect she has the halotype and it would not surprise me if she has already had the analysis duplicated in blind tests by other recognized labs etc. We all wait with great interest to see what comes of this. Only an idiot would leap to a conclusion without seeing what facts she has to present, but we do seem to have quite a few of those floating around here. No accounting for fools - they don't look like idiots until they open their mouths.
DeleteWho can think of the next excuse for another year of delay?
ReplyDeletePublication date.
DeleteKetchum accidentally spills her puddin all over her only copy of the report.
DeleteNobody has made any excuses! It's just ordinary people not even connected to it making assumptions about it! These things take a long time! If this was about a cancer cure it could take years! It's not like they are studying a flower here! Unless u have done this work u have no idea how it works.
DeleteFamily of 5 bigfoots ask her not to realease the paper.
DeleteI'm not buying it......not til Sally comes on here and weighs in. lol
ReplyDeleteSally here. Melba and I tribbed a few times its no secret. Nothing real solid between us thus yet. But it reaked
ReplyDeleteHA!
DeleteDork blogger who talks in third person is back!
DeleteShe's actually pretty fat....might explain the "reak"
ReplyDeleteAll of the people who have been playing the skeptic role are probably lighting up cigars thinking 'I can finally come out of the closet!'.
ReplyDeletePfffft, "DNA of an UNKNOWN origin" is hardly PROOF of anything. That's why this jornal will not allow that claim to be made. In short: she failed at proving the existence of Sasquatch.
DeleteWe already have DNA from unknown sources. This is just another researcher adding nothing (because we already have what she's going to bring to the table) in the grand scheme of mainstream science.
Now the Sykes study is very interesting.
Dream on Timmies. LOL
DeleteAnon 9:24,
DeletePlace your bet bigmouth. I bet you dollars to doughnuts she DIDN'T prove the existence to mainstream science. I think I'd know.
and why would you know this? why dont you stfu awhile ,how many posts you gonna type spewing the same shit. quit showing your ass. i dont know if the paper is going to pass peer review or not, but you seem to take real personally the possibility that it might. again let me reiterate STFU.
DeleteWait for the study participants to tell their stories with the end of NDAs.
ReplyDeleteI'm just hoping the Erikson project will come out soon then. I've been foolishly holding out hope that there's going to be some rad footage in there.
ReplyDeleteDon't hold your breath.
DeleteAll you're going to get is a blurry ass pancake video and something that could be a rug on the ground coupled with some footage we have all already seen.
DeleteIF Erickson HAD PROOF of Sasquatch, that news would've already been spread world-wide. The fact that we haven't heard anything close to that already is pretty telling on what Erickson is going to present. Like I said: crappy footage we've already seen, Matilda the rug and a crappy pancake video. That is ALL we are going to see.
In your own dreams maybe.
DeleteAnon 9:25,
DeleteYou are a genius at debate. What are you, 12?
No but you are.
DeleteZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
ReplyDeleteA hibernating troll, now I've heard it all.
DeleteBigfoot taint, Really?
ReplyDeleteOk guys I have it on good authority that the dogman paper has passed peer review. I can't say anything more about it but I can say this: the paper will be released alongside a book titled 'You are Dogman'. Make of that what you will.
ReplyDeleteLeprechauns are created when a unicorn farts into Nessies mouth. Fact.
DeleteThere are kids on this site with silly views of leprechauns
DeleteSally here - When will you people leave us alone? There is no paper, never was. We were quite successful in milking lots of money from the Bigfoot community, but the well has run dry and we're moving on. Right now, aliens are hot so, we're jumping on that bandwagon. We are going to submit a paper for peer review that will prove that aliens exist. We do need alien samples for DNA testing though and with your help, we can prove that these wonderful creatures exist. Our data will be amazing and beautiful. Please send me your alien samples, with a check for $2000, because, as you know, DNA testing ain't cheap. We will solve this mystery, once and for all...soon
ReplyDeleteJust stay away from Dogman, we don't need you guys messing that up too.
DeleteLMAO Every time a Ketchum post pops up on this blog I always look forward to these Sally comments!
DeleteDork third person blogger ! Hi Melba here blah blah blah - dork dork dork!
DeleteAnon 5:21 because you are the one posting "Sally comments"! They are dumb and childish . Must fart and laugh all day at that to?
DeleteThe Randies are really out tonight aren't they. You can tell they know it's close to game over for them. LOL
DeleteIf Ketchum OR Sikes ever release anything that astonishes the world, I will cut off my neighbours d*ck.
ReplyDeleteJust to be on the safe side if proven wrong, you will cut off the neighbors junk and not your own. Nice. Is that a little bit of doubt I detect?
DeleteGet ready to cut it off.
DeleteI told you to stay off of these sites son. They will rot whats left of your crack ridden brain.
DeleteCrudeness is back
ReplyDeleteRegardless of these results, or the Oxford study results the "skeptic" fools who post here and slap meat with the JREF dweebs will always claim that everyone everywhere is lieing about everything. They will ignorantly claim that they are the experts in everything while the rest of us "bleevers" blindly believe anything. Next up, they will start to attack the credibility of the journal, they will claim to know more about the scientific methods then the actual scientists, and they will paint with a broad brush that eveyone is conspiring in the big lie. They will then throw in a few comments about unicorns, leprechaun DNA, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if the JREF crowd and all of the educated (not really) "skeptics" might be needing to find another site soon. Maybe lochness evidence blogspot or leprechauns live.com.
Claims of evidence does not equal evidence.
DeleteUntil there is any evidence the jref guys remain correct.
If there ever is any evidence then the jref guys gain new knowledge just like every one else. It wouldn't mean they are wrong, they are simply holding the default position just like anything that has no evidence.
All these JREF closet bigfooters never had a case they live in lalaland making up stories to pass the time in between prayers, being against something and oppose it is their religion.
DeleteBigfoot is loosing momentum, Meldrum is the only scientist remaining. The quacks and hoaxers far outnumber the rational invetigators. The Ketchum and Oxford/Sykes attempts are the last best hope for bigfoot to be consider scientific fact or at least generate good evidence. If they fail, than the world will be more sure that bigfoot does not exist.
DeleteFor bigfoot science these are dark days. Hopefully it is darkest before the dawn.
What a total geek you are, you expect sightings to just stop then? LOL It's the opposite in fact and the dawn of Bigfoot now. All research is an on-going process so even if these studies yield nothing, which won't be the case, people will continue to have encounters with this species science hasn't recognize as of yet. You trolls have had your 50 years of cover-up but it's over now, I'm glad to read between your empty lines and see you realize this.
DeleteTo anon. at 6:29. you are one of the JREF guys.
Delete@ anon at 6:29. absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
DeleteHow many DNA results from Sykes will need to come back as known species before the believers change their position? They will never drop it. As long as Ketchums report is "coming soon" the fantasy will live on for the believers.
ReplyDeleteGive it up troll you lose.
DeleteIf the Sykes study comes back negative or inconclusive the dream is over for me. Meaning I will accept that Sasquatch is very likely just myth (or extinct). The time and resources put into the Erickson/Ketchum and Sykes programs have been thourough, if they cannot produce very good evidence it means Sasquatch is not real (in my opinion).
DeleteThen you're dreaming, pal. Sightings have been going on for centuries now and they'll go on or you think they'll just cease then? This is most likely an intelligent humanlike species of some sort and very successful at remaining elusive. Just look how few real videos we have, only a handful of those are real and unfakeable. We know those aren't fakes and we know witnesses feel certain they've encountered the real thing. Don't be as stupid as a troll please unless you are one, but to say if these studies find nothing it's over is utter nonsense and only feeding the deniers and haters of which we have enough.
DeleteSasquatch Enlightenment is spot in and I have the same feelings. If the Sykes study doesn't come up with something besides "DNA of an unknown origin" (I already know that's all Ketchum has done with hers and that adds NOTHING) then this entire field of study has been a monumental waste of time, period.
DeleteTrust me when I say this Sasquatch Enlightenment and I aren't the only people who feel this way, not by a LONGSHOT. All the field will be if Sykes comes up lame is people who are trying to make some money and youtube hits off of believers.
It's no good trust me you're very wrong then, these are just two studies we hope find some good things and if they don't both sightings and findings will go on. This species evidently does not want to be found for some reason, probably a very good reason knowing our own destructive one, but studies have been going on for many years and more will have to come in the future. These two studies will find something that warrants more work and research, it looks like the Ketchum one's already come first.
DeleteFamily of 5 dogmans have been spotted. They are brilliant, peaceful creatures but they do shun electronics, so going into the field with no cameras and a positive attitude will increase your chances of seeing one of these amazing creatures.
ReplyDeleteStupid!
DeleteI'm on the dead rabbits and sqeaky toys side of the fence personally.
ReplyDeleteWait for it wait for it................
ReplyDeleteDogman?
DeleteWhat's dogmans favorite position?
DeleteDoggyman style.
Good to see the trolls have realized it's over denying sasquatch existence, now they've switched their attention to a canine hybrid.
DeleteForgive me if this seems a trifle nitpicky, but 'official confirmation from an un-named source' is a bit of an oxymoron. Cue moron jokes at my expense.
ReplyDeleteWow, bleeding edge as usual Robert, you were a couple days late on this one, what happened to your sources? Oh that's right, it took you that long to find it on BFF, lol. Who's your inside source on the Sykes study? BFF too?
ReplyDeleteThe Oxford study will be released before this. In a month there will still be no Ketchum report and Lindsay will be blaming his sources again and not his lackluster reporting skills.
ReplyDeleteYou're very wrong there.
DeletePretty funny how Robert gets his info from BFF. Someone posted there that it has passed peer review a few days before this. Roberts getting a little bit better though by hedging his bet and not promising a release date. Also say's I believe it's passed and not it has passed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not getting my hopes up with this announcement, I'll believe it when it's published.
ReplyDeleteNo matter which way this report leans, it's still valuable research in the sasquatch field. If DNA proves un-known species it may trigger further study & testing.
ReplyDeleteEarly on Ketchum leakers did state that she recieved 200 samples for testing and 100 where identified as known animals. That leaves 100 that where not known in the database. If this is true it is information that will help the study and the field of research.
DNA DOES NOT PROVE the existence of Sasquatch. Nothing will ever be accepted based off of DNA alone. You need a specimen, period.
DeleteWe already have DNA from an unknown source BUT have you heard or read anywhere that Sasquatch is a PROVEN species by science? No, you haven't and THAT IS why her paper IS meaningless as the end all to finally proving the existence of Sasquatch.
Wrong troll. DNA is science, I can't believe how clueless you are. It's how science works now so keep your denial and disappointment better in check, okay. We don't need a speciemen for the circus freaks but there will be one eventually, the reason none is necessary at this point is because now's all about proving it a hominin. That's the first step, proving there's this species and take it from there.
DeleteMy preference is that Sasquatch's existence remain unverified. Sure, verification will be good for those who style themselves as "researchers". But I'm doubtful that verification will improve the life of Sasquatch himself.
ReplyDeleteWhile Sasquatch was still a myth, he seemed to do quite well. Ascending from myth to reality could actually make things a good deal worse for him.
I recognize, however, that once a bell is rung, it can't be unrung.
I'm not going to hold my breath on this paper.
ReplyDeleteIF the paper ever gets published by a reputable journal and proves the existence of Sasquatch then I will line up with everyone else and apologize.
My guess is that the paper will contain enough evidence to promote a book, DVD or any other venture, but it will lack anything definitive.
That's my personal opinion.
That's ALL it has been about from the beginning for Ketchum. Trust me, Ketchums paper DID NOT PROVE the EXISTENCE. All it is is DNA from an unknown source. We already have that. This is just circles in the grand scheme.
DeleteNow all that's left for her to do is make some money off of saps.
You're still wrong troll, we don't have already have that. This study was all about proving the species is real and alive and she has done that now, just sit back and await the news they already told you months ago which channels to look out for.
DeleteOh shutup Robert (and melba too, if you actually exist).
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that the DNA report will come out, I just doubt Robert's information. How many times has he stated a release date, and each time he was wrong.
ReplyDeleteChad W
Lindsay and Ketchum, the only two worth listening to. They both know it's good.
DeleteFunny Robert didnt chime in on this thread to back himself up. He usually does. MIA
ReplyDeleteI'll give you some "dna from an unidentified source" - my nuts!
ReplyDeleteHate to be the one to break this to everyone out there. But in this day and age, talk is cheap. Scams are everywhere. Videos and photos can easily be hoaxed. Enough talk, enough rumors of a small piece of DNA found....the people will not believe in it….. UNTIL....A BODY IS RECOVERED. If these animals are real. Then in the name of science, I would have to be Pro-kill or pro-capture. Not to really harm it, but to study them, know their intentions, and their characteristics, and MOST important of all....to make sure that human population do not grow in their habitat areas, if they are indeed hostile. Further conflicts will arise with these animals if science and the human race doesn’t acknowledge these animals. Even if Bigfoots/Sasquatches/Yetis/Beast Men…. currently do not pose a threat.....human population increase in their habitat areas.....then what? More rumors, eyewitness reports.....NAH! If it is real.....Only a body will prove it. And then it needs to be added to the biological pages of science, and put into a zoo or a preserved specimen in a museum....that is what it will take for anyone to believe that such creatures even exist.
ReplyDeleteso we have technology that can zoom in on people using a satellite in space to spy on them, but we can't zoom in on a species of giant who knows what they are, we have to think smarter that what wee are trying to find.
