Always enjoy the show and hearing different viewpoints. I want to clarify some of the things I mentioned in the Chatroom --
ReplyDelete1. Michael, not saying there aren't, but I personally don't know of anybody claiming a 'habituation' as you scientifically define that. There are, however, people occasionally visiting certain areas, or 'habitats'. Some may have those on their own property.
2. IMO, you use too broad a paintbrush when you mock 'habituators'. Yeah, some people claim to have telepathic communication with Bigfoot, or say they came out of UFOs. Maybe that's true; I can't say. THE VAST MAJORITY OF 'RESEARCHERS' DO NOT, and I think you're wrongly insulting people who simply enjoy visiting or searching for 'habitats'.
3. You guys say, "These habituators need to show us proof if they're going to make these claims!" No, they don't. Accept that.
4. Proof ONLY applies to what will satisfy your personal definition when deciding to buy somebody's book or whatever they're selling. Nobody is forcing you to buy it, and the seller has no legal requirement to prove anything to you. So you seek out books/accounts others find most 'believable' and decide for yourself.
